| CVE-2026-99219 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-11-02 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ftrace: Initialize modname and offset in print_rec() print_rec() leaves 'modname' and 'offset' uninitialized and kallsyms_lookup() only sets them on success. When the lookup fails like when a module is being loaded or unloaded, 'modname' holds a garbage value, passes the 'if (modname)' check, and is dereferenced by seq_printf(). Oops: general protection fault RIP: 0010:string+0x48/0xe0 Call Trace: vsnprintf+0x1f5/0x650 seq_printf+0x8e/0xb0 print_rec+0x6c/0xc0 t_show+0x4c/0x440 seq_read_iter+0x119/0x480 This can be triggered by reading available_filter_functions while a module is being loaded or unloaded. Initialize both variables so a failed lookup skips the module name. | ||||
| CVE-2026-99218 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-11-02 | 7 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: coredump: hold RCU while releasing parked threads coredump_finish() releases the parked threads by clearing ->task in their core_thread entry and calling wake_up_process() on each of them. It does that without holding a reference on the task and without being inside rcu. But calling wake_up_process(task) without rcu here isn't safe. A parked thread doesn't need that wakeup to leave. A spurious wakeup or a preemption after the store is enough for the task to go away. So if the coredump client is preempted between the store and wake_up_process() the thread can exit and be freed in the meantime and try_to_wake_up() takes pi_lock in freed memory. Hold rcu across the loop. | ||||
| CVE-2026-99217 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-11-02 | N/A |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fork: release the files of a failed fork after sched_cancel_fork() Reorder copy_process() cleanup so sched_fork() taking scx_fork_rwsem scx_pre_fork() is safe and isn't held around exiting files. Right now, a fork that fails while another thread closed the bpf link fd will deadlock against its own read side. It also blocks every fork on the system: copy_process() holds scx_fork_rwsem for read exit_files() close_files() filp_close_sync() bpf_scx_unreg() kthread_flush_work() waits for the disable work scx_root_disable() percpu_down_write(&scx_fork_rwsem) Simply release the child's files after sched_cancel_fork() dropped the lock. The task starts out as a copy of its parent so p->files points to the parent's table until copy_files() replaces it. exit_files() must not run for a fork that failed before that. Clear p->files up front so exit_files() is a no-op for those and make copy_files() set it explicitly for CLONE_FILES. | ||||
| CVE-2026-119207 | 1 Py-pdf | 1 Pypdf | 2026-11-02 | 5.5 Medium |
| pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.21.3, pypdf can consume excessive memory when strict mode loads a crafted invalid PDF dictionary. Nested parsing failures add repeated exception text to newly raised errors, allowing a small malformed dictionary to amplify into very large error messages. This issue is fixed in version 6.21.3. | ||||
| CVE-2026-119203 | 1 Py-pdf | 1 Pypdf | 2026-11-02 | 5.5 Medium |
| pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.21.4, pypdf can enter an infinite loop while opening a crafted incomplete PDF whose standard cross-reference table reaches the end of the file without a trailer. The trailer search can repeatedly rewind to the same stream position instead of terminating when parsing makes no progress, blocking the processing thread. This issue is fixed in version 6.21.4. | ||||
| CVE-2026-119209 | 1 Py-pdf | 1 Pypdf | 2026-11-02 | 5.5 Medium |
| pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.21.3, pypdf can consume excessive memory while opening a crafted PDF containing cross-reference streams that declare very large entry counts. Highly compressible streams and /Prev chains can multiply the number of parsed entries across a document, while negative /Index counts can bypass the existing per-stream clamp. This issue is fixed in version 6.21.3. | ||||
| CVE-2026-119208 | 1 Py-pdf | 1 Pypdf | 2026-11-02 | 5.5 Medium |
| pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.21.3, pypdf can consume excessive time and memory when an application accesses the page count of a crafted encrypted PDF whose page tree declares a forged /Count value. Even after successful decryption, page-count retrieval trusts the unvalidated declared count instead of walking the page tree, allowing the attacker-controlled value to drive excessive work and memory use. This issue is fixed in version 6.21.3. | ||||
| CVE-2026-28351 | 1 Py-pdf | 1 Pypdf | 2026-11-02 | 5.3 Medium |
| pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to version 6.7.4, an attacker who uses this vulnerability can craft a PDF which leads to large memory usage. This requires parsing the content stream using the RunLengthDecode filter. This has been fixed in pypdf 6.7.4. As a workaround, consider applying the changes from PR #3664. | ||||
| CVE-2026-57204 | 1 Py-pdf | 1 Pypdf | 2026-11-02 | 6.5 Medium |
| pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.13.3, a maliciously crafted PDF can cause DoS. An attacker who uses this vulnerability can craft a PDF which leads to large memory usage, as MAX_DECLARED_STREAM_LENGTH is sometimes ignored. This requires parsing a content stream without a /Length value. This issue has been fixed in version 6.13.3. | ||||
| CVE-2026-119204 | 1 Py-pdf | 1 Pypdf | 2026-11-02 | 5.5 Medium |
| pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.21.4, pypdf can consume excessive memory while parsing a crafted PDF page tree containing many shared resources. Page-tree flattening copies page dictionary and inherited resource entries without a document-wide entry budget, allowing the crafted resource structure to cause disproportionate allocations. This issue is fixed in version 6.21.4. | ||||
| CVE-2026-102996 | 1 Py-pdf | 1 Pypdf | 2026-11-02 | 7.5 High |
| pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.18.1, a crafted PDF can provide a TrueType or Type1 simple font with an unusually large /Widths array, causing pypdf/_font.py Font._collect_tt_t1_character_widths to process entries beyond the 256 character codes meaningful for a simple font and consume excessive memory during operations such as text extraction. This issue is fixed in version 6.18.1. | ||||
| CVE-2026-84310 | 1 Py-pdf | 1 Pypdf | 2026-11-02 | 3.3 Low |
| pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.16.1, an attacker can craft a PDF that causes pypdf/_doc_common.py _get_outline to consume long runtimes and large amounts of memory when retrieving document outlines with large numbers of entries or deeply nested reused paths because the traversal lacked global entry-count and nesting-depth limits. This issue is fixed in version 6.16.1. | ||||
| CVE-2026-84309 | 1 Py-pdf | 1 Pypdf | 2026-11-02 | 5.5 Medium |
| pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.16.0, an attacker can craft a PDF whose cyclic tree structure causes pypdf/generic/_data_structures.py TreeObject.insert_child to follow /Next links indefinitely when a writing code path inserts a child, producing an infinite loop. This issue is fixed in version 6.16.0. | ||||
| CVE-2026-49460 | 1 Py-pdf | 1 Pypdf | 2026-11-02 | 3.3 Low |
| pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.12.2, an attacker who uses this vulnerability can craft a PDF which leads to long runtimes. This requires accessing a stream which uses the /FlateDecode filter with a PNG predictor. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.12.2. | ||||
| CVE-2026-59936 | 1 Py-pdf | 1 Pypdf | 2026-11-02 | 7.5 High |
| pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.14.1, an attacker can craft a PDF with a page content stream containing a not terminated inline image, causing an infinite loop during inline image end marker detection such as when extracting page text. This issue is fixed in version 6.14.1. | ||||
| CVE-2026-84311 | 1 Py-pdf | 1 Pypdf | 2026-11-02 | 3.3 Low |
| pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.16.1, an attacker can craft a PDF that causes pypdf/_page.py PageObject._extract_text and PageObject.extract_xform_text to traverse a directed acyclic graph of reused form XObjects in which each form invokes a child multiple times, creating exponentially many traversal paths and causing long runtimes and large memory consumption. This issue is fixed in version 6.16.1. | ||||
| CVE-2026-82398 | 1 Py-pdf | 1 Pypdf | 2026-11-02 | 5.3 Medium |
| pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.15.0, an attacker can craft a PDF that causes long runtimes when the pypdf/_utils.py function read_until_whitespace reads a stream containing a long run of bytes without whitespace. The function repeatedly performs immutable bytes concatenation in a one-byte loop, causing quadratic processing cost for the long non-whitespace input. This issue is fixed in version 6.15.0. | ||||
| CVE-2026-71852 | 1 Py-pdf | 1 Pypdf | 2026-11-02 | 3.3 Low |
| pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.15.0, a crafted PDF can cause long runtimes and large memory consumption when pypdf/_font.py function Font._collect_cid_character_widths expands unusually large CID font /W width ranges or excessive width entries during text extraction. This issue is fixed in 6.15.0. | ||||
| CVE-2026-119205 | 1 Py-pdf | 1 Pypdf | 2026-11-02 | 5.5 Medium |
| pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.21.4, pypdf can enter an infinite loop when cloning or duplicating a crafted cyclic DictionaryObject. Clone traversal checked generated destination references rather than the original source references, allowing some source cycles to evade the visited-object check. This issue is fixed in version 6.21.4. | ||||
| CVE-2026-59937 | 1 Py-pdf | 1 Pypdf | 2026-11-02 | 7.5 High |
| pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.14.0, an attacker can craft a PDF with repeated malformed cross-reference streams that cause pypdf to spend long runtimes recovering broken cross-reference table entries. This issue is fixed in version 6.14.0. | ||||
