| CVE-2026-84838 | 1 Redhat | 3 Enterprise Linux, Hardened Images, Hummingbird | 2026-10-14 | 7.8 High |
| A flaw was found in rpmuncompress. This command injection vulnerability allows a local attacker to execute arbitrary commands. This occurs when rpmuncompress processes a specially crafted archive filename containing shell metacharacters, which are not properly escaped before being passed to shell command strings. Successful exploitation requires user interaction, where a user or automated workflow invokes rpmuncompress on the malicious file, leading to high impact on the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data accessible to the invoking user. | ||||
| CVE-2026-84837 | 1 Redhat | 3 Enterprise Linux, Hardened Images, Hummingbird | 2026-10-14 | 7.8 High |
| A flaw was found in rpm. An attacker can exploit a command injection vulnerability by influencing the path or filename of a tarball processed by `rpmbuild -t*` to include shell metacharacters. This is particularly relevant in automated build or continuous integration (CI) workflows that ingest externally supplied artifact names. Successful exploitation allows for arbitrary command execution with the privileges of the build user, which could lead to information disclosure or disruption of the build environment. | ||||
| CVE-2026-78367 | 1 Redhat | 2 Enterprise Linux, Hummingbird | 2026-10-14 | 7 High |
| A vulnerability was found in RPM's rpmbuild tarball processing. When processing a crafted source archive, the getTarSpec() function in tools/rpmbuild.cc passes an attacker-controlled tar archive member name to rpmExpand() as part of a %{basename:...} macro expression. A specially crafted .spec member name can therefore inject RPM macros, including Lua expressions, resulting in arbitrary code execution with the privileges of the user running rpmbuild. This can be exploited when a victim or automated build system processes an attacker-controlled source tarball using rpmbuild tarball mode (such as -ts, -ta, or -tb). | ||||
| CVE-2026-107651 | 2 Eog, Redhat | 2 Eog, Enterprise Linux | 2026-10-14 | 5.5 Medium |
| A flaw was found in Eye of GNOME (eog). A heap-based buffer overflow exists in the PNG metadata reader due to improper state handling when parsing split metadata chunks. A remote attacker could exploit this flaw by enticing a user into opening a specially crafted PNG file, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution or a Denial of Service (DoS) via application crash. | ||||
| CVE-2026-108093 | 2 Gimp, Redhat | 2 Gimp, Enterprise Linux | 2026-10-14 | 5.5 Medium |
| A flaw was found in GIMP. The XCF loader processes image-simulation-intent and image-simulation-bpc parasites without ensuring the parasite data is present before dereferencing it. Opening a specially crafted XCF file with a zero-size simulation parasite can cause a NULL pointer dereference and crash the GIMP application. | ||||
| CVE-2026-88763 | 1 Redhat | 1 Service Interconnect | 2026-10-13 | 5.9 Medium |
| A flaw was found in the skupper-router component of Red Hat Service Interconnect, which is used to provide secure communication between distributed services. The issue occurs when the router processes a specially crafted network message using its AMQP field parser. Due to a lack of bounds on recursion during parsing, the router can run out of stack memory and crash, leading to a denial of service for the interconnected network. | ||||
| CVE-2026-88833 | 2 Busybox, Redhat | 2 Busybox, Hummingbird | 2026-10-13 | 6.5 Medium |
| A flaw was found in BusyBox's udhcpc DHCP client. When processing raw DHCP packets, the client replaces the validated packet length with an attacker-controlled value from the IP header without re-validating the minimum size. This leads to an integer underflow when subtracting header sizes, causing a subsequent memory copy with a massively oversized length. An attacker on the same network segment can send a specially crafted packet to crash the DHCP client, resulting in denial of service and loss of network connectivity. | ||||
| CVE-2026-88834 | 2 Busybox, Redhat | 2 Busybox, Hummingbird | 2026-10-13 | 3.7 Low |
| A flaw was found in BusyBox's httpd web server. When configured with system password authentication, a user existence oracle may exist in certain build configurations. An attacker could distinguish existing from non-existing usernames by observing authentication failure behavior. Impact is limited to username enumeration and requires non-default compile options or uncommon password file states; default BusyBox builds with shadow password support are not affected. | ||||
| CVE-2026-108094 | 1 Redhat | 1 Enterprise Linux | 2026-10-13 | 7.8 High |
| A use-after-free flaw was found in mutter in the Wayland color-management ICC image-description path. A local attacker who can run a malicious Wayland client can destroy a wp_image_description_v1 resource while an asynchronous ICC file read is still in progress. When the read completes, the compositor uses the freed wl_resource, writes into freed memory, and frees a pointer derived from that memory. This can crash the GNOME session and may allow arbitrary code execution within the compositor process. | ||||
| CVE-2021-22555 | 4 Broadcom, Linux, Netapp and 1 more | 43 Fabric Operating System, Linux Kernel, Aff 500f and 40 more | 2026-10-13 | 8.3 High |
| A heap out-of-bounds write affecting Linux since v2.6.19-rc1 was discovered in net/netfilter/x_tables.c. This allows an attacker to gain privileges or cause a DoS (via heap memory corruption) through user name space | ||||
| CVE-2026-108119 | 2 Busybox, Redhat | 4 Busybox, Enterprise Linux, Hardened Images and 1 more | 2026-10-13 | 6.3 Medium |
| A flaw was found in busybox. The tar applet's deferred link-creation handling for symlink and hardlink entries with unsafe-looking targets does not validate that the resolved destination remains inside the extraction directory once the deferred link is created. An attacker can craft a tar archive using a symlink target of exactly '..' combined with a deferred hardlink to create a new file outside the extraction directory, or reuse an extraction directory across two archives to replace an existing file outside it. If the archive is extracted with elevated privileges, this flaw can lead to privilege escalation or arbitrary code execution. | ||||
| CVE-2025-57847 | 1 Redhat | 2 Ansible Automation Platform, Ansible Core | 2026-10-13 | 6.4 Medium |
| A container privilege escalation flaw was found in certain Ansible Automation Platform images. This issue arises from the /etc/passwd file being created with group-writable permissions during the build process. In certain conditions, an attacker who can execute commands within an affected container, even as a non-root user, can leverage their membership in the root group to modify the /etc/passwd file. This vulnerability allows an attacker to add a new user with any arbitrary UID, including UID 0, gaining full root privileges within the container. | ||||
| CVE-2026-104045 | 3 Fedoraproject, Redhat, Sssd | 5 Sssd, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 2 more | 2026-10-13 | 4.7 Medium |
| A flaw was found in SSSD. A local user can trigger a Denial of Service (DoS) by exploiting a race condition in the autofs responder between asynchronous enumeration completion and map invalidation. By repeatedly sending concurrent map enumeration and invalidation requests, an attacker can cause memory to leak, leading to excessive memory consumption that can disrupt or crash the autofs service. | ||||
| CVE-2026-104046 | 3 Fedoraproject, Redhat, Sssd | 5 Sssd, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 2 more | 2026-10-13 | 6.2 Medium |
| A flaw was found in SSSD (System Security Services Daemon). When Identity Provider (IdP) authentication is enabled, pre-authentication requests retain state in memory without being cleared or timed out. A local attacker can repeatedly initiate authentication flows without completing them, causing unbounded memory consumption. This memory exhaustion can lead to a Denial of Service (DoS) by degrading or terminating SSSD authentication services. | ||||
| CVE-2026-107193 | 2 Redhat, Theforeman | 2 Satellite, Foreman | 2026-10-13 | 6.5 Medium |
| A flaw has been found in **permission filters** in the **foreman** package. The API loads a filter by its identifier and does not apply the search limit on the caller's permission. A low-privileged network attacker or user must already be allowed to delete filters for one role only. They can delete filters that belong to other unlocked roles. Those other roles then lose the access the deleted filters had granted. | ||||
| CVE-2026-85234 | 1 Redhat | 2 Enterprise Linux, Hummingbird | 2026-10-13 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw was found in tftp-hpa. When the `in.tftpd` remap engine processes an inverse remap rule that also aborts with a non-empty custom error message, it can pass invalid match offsets to the `genmatchstring()` function. This leads to out-of-bounds read/write operations. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted request, causing the daemon to crash and resulting in a denial of service. | ||||
| CVE-2026-109832 | 1 Redhat | 1 Enterprise Linux | 2026-10-13 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw was found in gnome-remote-desktop as shipped in Red Hat Enterprise Linux. In the VNC TLS I/O handlers, retryable GnuTLS results (GNUTLS_E_AGAIN and GNUTLS_E_INTERRUPTED) are handled with an unbounded busy loop instead of yielding to the event loop. A remote attacker who can reach an enabled VNC TLS listener can cause the event-loop thread to spin at high CPU with no forward progress, resulting in denial of service. | ||||
| CVE-2026-107203 | 2 Redhat, Theforeman | 2 Satellite, Foreman | 2026-10-13 | 5.4 Medium |
| An **incorrect authorization** flaw has been found in **network interface handling** in the **Foreman** package. The domain and subnet interface API checks only that the caller holds a host permission. It does not apply the search limit on that permission, so the request is answered from every interface on the domain or subnet. A low-privileged network attacker or user must already be allowed to view some hosts and to view a domain or subnet shared with other hosts. They can request that domain or subnet's interfaces. The response includes interface records of hosts they are not allowed to view. If the attacker or user is also allowed to edit some hosts, they can submit a change to one of those interfaces. The interface is then saved with that change. | ||||
| CVE-2025-0624 | 1 Redhat | 7 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Rhel Aus and 4 more | 2026-10-13 | 7.6 High |
| A flaw was found in grub2. During the network boot process, when trying to search for the configuration file, grub copies data from a user controlled environment variable into an internal buffer using the grub_strcpy() function. During this step, it fails to consider the environment variable length when allocating the internal buffer, resulting in an out-of-bounds write. If correctly exploited, this issue may result in remote code execution through the same network segment grub is searching for the boot information, which can be used to by-pass secure boot protections. | ||||
| CVE-2024-12085 | 8 Almalinux, Archlinux, Gentoo and 5 more | 29 Almalinux, Arch Linux, Linux and 26 more | 2026-10-13 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw was found in rsync which could be triggered when rsync compares file checksums. This flaw allows an attacker to manipulate the checksum length (s2length) to cause a comparison between a checksum and uninitialized memory and leak one byte of uninitialized stack data at a time. | ||||
