CVE-2026-99109 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-29 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: reject SetEA requests that do not fit the request buffer CIFSSMBSetEA() copies the caller's extended attribute value into the SMB request buffer without checking that it fits. The requirement is stated in the source but was never implemented: /*BB add length check to see if it would fit in negotiated SMB buffer size BB */ /* if (ea_value_len > buffer_size - 512 (enough for header)) */ if (ea_value_len) memcpy(parm_data->list.name + name_len + 1, ea_value, ea_value_len); The only bound applied on the way in is in cifs_xattr_set(): #define MAX_EA_VALUE_SIZE CIFSMaxBufSize ... if (size > MAX_EA_VALUE_SIZE) CIFSMaxBufSize is the full payload capacity of the buffer, so a value of exactly that size leaves no room for the SMB header, the TRANS2 parameter block, the fealist header and the EA name that are written ahead of it in the same object. SendReceive() already enforces the correct limit on this very length: if (in_len > CIFSMaxBufSize + MAX_CIFS_HDR_SIZE) but it is called after the copy has taken place. An unprivileged setxattr(2) on an SMB1 mount with a 250-byte name and a 16384-byte value writes 16384 bytes starting 345 bytes into a 16588-byte cifs_request object, ending 141 bytes past it: BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in CIFSSMBSetEA+0xabc/0xde0 Write of size 16384 at addr ffff888003aa0159 by task init/68 __asan_memcpy+0x3c/0x60 CIFSSMBSetEA+0xabc/0xde0 cifs_xattr_set+0xd3a/0xff0 __vfs_setxattr+0x13e/0x1a0 The buggy address is located 345 bytes inside of allocated 16588-byte region Apply SendReceive()'s limit to the assembled request before the copy rather than after it, and widen the byte counters so the sum cannot wrap before it is tested. byte_count is also tested against U16_MAX, because it is stored in the 16-bit pSMB->ByteCount. That becomes reachable when CIFSMaxBufSize is raised at module load, where it may be set as high as 1024*127: with a 5-byte EA name and a 65521-byte value, count is exactly U16_MAX while byte_count is 65556, and cpu_to_le16() would truncate it to 20 and transmit a frame whose ByteCount does not match its length. Testing byte_count covers count as well, since byte_count is the larger of the two and count's only 16-bit consumer is written after this point. check_add_overflow() is evaluated first so that total_len is assigned before it is reported.
CVE-2026-116131 1 Libwww-perl 1 Http-body 2026-10-29 7.5 High
HTTP::Body versions before 1.23_01 for Perl allow memory and temporary file exhaustion via an unlimited number of form fields and multipart parts. The urlencoded parser splits the whole body on its separators at once, creating one scalar per separator before any field is stored. This costs about 90 bytes of memory per separator byte. The multipart parser creates a temporary file for every part that carries a filename. Neither parser limits how many fields or parts a body may hold. A remote attacker can exhaust worker memory with a body made of separators, or create thousands of temporary files with one request of small file parts.
CVE-2026-116273 1 Perl 1 Mime::parser 2026-10-29 7.5 High
MIME::Parser versions before 5.521 for Perl set no limit on the number of message parts by default, allowing memory exhaustion. The max_parts option defaulted to -1, which disables the limit, so a parser created with default settings builds an entity for every part however many a message has. Version 5.521 sets max_parts to 1000 and max_depth to 64 by default. Setting either to -1 still removes the limit.
CVE-2026-116267 1 Perl 1 Mime::parser 2026-10-29 7.5 High
MIME::Parser versions before 5.521 for Perl allow memory exhaustion via indented error messages from a truncated, deeply nested message. Each stored parser diagnostic is indented by three spaces per nesting level. When a message nested N levels deep ends without its closing boundaries, every level logs an error at its own depth, so the stored diagnostics grow with the square of N. The defaults place no limit on nesting depth.
CVE-2026-116133 1 Libwww-perl 1 Http-body 2026-10-29 7.5 High
HTTP::Body versions before 1.23_01 for Perl allow CPU exhaustion via quadratic rescanning of a multipart body with a missing or malformed boundary. Before the first part, and between parts, the multipart parser searches the whole buffered body for the next boundary. On a miss it keeps everything and searches again from the start when the next chunk arrives. A body with no boundary, or with a delimiter followed by neither CRLF nor "--", is therefore rescanned on every chunk, taking time quadratic in its size. A remote attacker can exhaust worker CPU with a few such requests.
CVE-2026-116134 1 Libwww-perl 1 Http-body 2026-10-29 7.5 High
HTTP::Body versions before 1.23_01 for Perl allow memory exhaustion via an unbounded multipart part header block. The multipart parser takes everything up to the first blank line after a boundary as the part's header block, with no limit on its size or number of lines. Every line is stored in the part's header hash, so a block of short lines costs about 60 bytes of memory per input byte. A remote attacker can exhaust worker memory with a single request.
CVE-2026-116270 1 Perl 1 Mime::words 2026-10-29 7.5 High
MIME::Words versions before 5.521 for Perl allow memory exhaustion via repeated "=?" sequences in decode_mimewords. For each "=?" that does not start a complete encoded word, decode_mimewords appends an error message containing the whole input string to $@. A boundary of 8,000 "=?" pairs (16,000 bytes) adds 8,000 copies of itself to $@, about 128 MB. From version 5.518, MIME::Parser decodes every multipart boundary this way, so a remote sender can exhaust the memory of the parsing process with one Content-Type header.
CVE-2026-117501 1 Libwww-perl 1 Http-body 2026-10-29 7.5 High
HTTP::Body versions before 1.24_01 for Perl allow memory exhaustion via unbounded buffering of chunked request bodies. In chunked mode, used when no content length is given, add() holds each chunk in memory until all of it has arrived. A line that is not a chunk-size line, a size line without CRLF, or a size too large to fit an integer leaves the parser waiting forever, and every later add() grows the buffer. A remote attacker can exhaust memory in applications that pass chunked request bodies to HTTP::Body.
CVE-2025-47761 1 Fortinet 2 Forticlient, Forticlientwindows 2026-10-29 7.1 High
An Exposed IOCTL with Insufficient Access Control vulnerability [CWE-782] vulnerability in Fortinet FortiClientWindows 7.4.0 through 7.4.3, FortiClientWindows 7.2.0 through 7.2.9 may allow an authenticated local user to execute unauthorized code via fortips driver. Success of the attack would require bypassing the Windows memory protections such as Heap integrity and HSP. In addition, it requires a valid and running VPN IPSec connection.
CVE-2026-118242 1 Highcharts 3 Grid-lite, Grid-pro, Highcharts 2026-10-29 5.4 Medium
Highcharts JS is a JavaScript charting library based on SVG. From 2.3.0 until 3.2.0, Highcharts Grid creates SVG path elements from rendering.icons object definitions and previously copied every child key with setAttribute. An attacker who controls Grid configuration can supply event-handler attribute names in an icon definition. Because custom icons override built-ins, the attacker can replace default sort or pagination icons, and script runs in the hosting page origin when a user hovers over or activates the affected icon. This issue is fixed in 3.2.0.
CVE-2026-116797 1 Highcharts 3 Dashboards, Grid-pro, Highcharts 2026-10-29 5.4 Medium
Highcharts JS is a JavaScript charting library based on SVG. From 2.0.0 until 3.2.0, Highcharts Grid Pro input renderers copy the cells.renderer.attributes and cells.editMode.renderer.attributes maps to input or select elements with raw setAttribute calls. An attacker who controls column configuration can add event-handler attributes to every rendered row or to the control created when a cell enters edit mode. Script then runs in the hosting page origin when a user hovers over or focuses an input or begins editing. This issue is fixed in Grid Pro 3.2.0.
CVE-2026-118246 1 Highcharts 1 Highcharts 2026-10-29 6.1 Medium
Highcharts JS is a JavaScript charting library based on SVG. From 10.0.0 until 11.4.9, 12.6.1, and 13.1.0, Highcharts applies breadcrumbs.style as SVG attributes rather than CSS and does not filter the attribute names. An attacker who controls chart configuration can provide event-handler keys through drilldown.breadcrumbs, navigation.breadcrumbs, or hierarchical series breadcrumb options. The keys become active handlers on the breadcrumb button and execute in the hosting page origin after the user navigates to a level and hovers over or activates the button. Styled-mode charts do not apply this option and are not affected. This issue is fixed in 11.4.9, 12.6.1 and 13.1.0.
CVE-2026-118251 1 Highcharts 1 Highcharts 2026-10-29 5.4 Medium
Highcharts JS is a JavaScript charting library based on SVG. Prior to 11.4.9, 12.6.1, and 13.1.0, Highcharts assigns credits.href to the window location when the credits label is clicked without checking the URL against the allowed-scheme list. An attacker who controls chart configuration can provide a javascript URL and run script in the origin of the hosting page when a user clicks the credits label. Highcharts Stock, Maps, and Gantt are included because they ship from the same package. This issue is fixed in 11.4.9, 12.6.1 and 13.1.0.
CVE-2026-111551 1 Apache 1 Kafka 2026-10-29 7.5 High
Several Kafka deserialization paths read a size or count field from input data and use it directly to allocate an array, collection, or byte buffer, with no check against the bytes actually available. A small crafted input can therefore declare a very large size and force a multi-gigabyte allocation. The affected paths are, in Kafka Streams, ProcessorRecordContext (header count), ChangedDeserializer (varint value length), CombinedKeySchema (foreign-key length, which could also produce a negative size), ProcessorMetadata (key length), and AssignmentInfo group-assignment decoding; and, in the clients library, ListDeserializer (used by ListSerde). Impact: An attacker can trigger the oversized allocation and raise an OutOfMemoryError that crashes the affected consumer or Kafka Streams thread; the broker and the rest of the cluster are unaffected. The reachable surface depends on the path: writing a crafted record to a Streams application's internal changelog or repartition topics, or committing crafted offset metadata to its consumer group (Streams internal paths); writing a crafted record to any topic that a consumer reads with ListSerde (ListDeserializer); or, as a member of a Streams consumer group, returning crafted assignment data when elected leader (AssignmentInfo). Because a crafted record remains in its topic, the error can recur on restart. The record size limit (max.message.bytes) does not help, because the allocation is driven by a size field rather than by the input's length. Mitigation: Upgrade to Apache Kafka 4.2.2, 4.3.2, or 4.4.0. Where authorization is enabled, restrict write access to each application's internal topics and consumer group to its own principal, and restrict who can produce to topics that are consumed with ListSerde. Resolution: From Apache Kafka 4.2.2, 4.3.2, and 4.4.0: these deserialization paths validate the declared size against the remaining input before allocating and reject input that fails the check.
CVE-2026-111108 1 Apache 1 Kafka 2026-10-29 7.5 High
Apache Kafka's code-generated protocol readers pre-size an array's collection from the element count declared by the sender. That count is checked only against the bytes remaining in the request buffer, which assumes about one byte per element; because most elements need several bytes, a request can declare far more elements than the buffer holds and still pass. For a keyed array the reader then allocates an ImplicitLinkedHashCollection of capacity (2 * count +1), so a request of a few tens of megabytes can force a heap allocation several times larger before any element is read. The pattern is emitted into every generated reader, so it affects all Kafka API types with an array field.  Impact: Request parsing happens before any authorization check. On a listener that does not require authentication (for example PLAINTEXT), an unauthenticated attacker can send a few concurrent requests that each declare a very large= array length and allocate many times their wire size in broker heap, crashing the broker with an OutOfMemoryError. The reporter demonstrated three concurrent ~90 MB ProduceRequest (v3) connections exhausting a 1 GB heap (~8x amplification). On listeners that require authentication, the attacker needs valid credentials but no specific ACL, since parsing precedes authorization.. Mitigation: Upgrade to Apache Kafka 4.2.2, 4.3.2, or 4.4.0. Until then, lowering socket.request.max.bytes and restricting network access to broker listeners reduces, but does not remove, exposure. Resolution: From Apache Kafka 4.2.2, 4.3.2, and 4.4.0: generated readers cap the initial array pre-allocation at MessageUtil.MAX_PREALLOCATED_ARRAY_CAPACITY (1000) and grow it on demand, and reject a declared array length above MessageUtil.MAX_ARRAY_LENGTH (1,000,000).
CVE-2026-99023 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-29 2.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: power: sequencing: pcie-m2: Fix leaking array from of_regulator_bulk_get_all() of_regulator_bulk_get_all() allocates the consumers array and hands it to the caller, who is expected to free it at an appropriate time. pwrseq-pcie-m2.c never did, leading to a memory leak. Add an explicit kfree() for the consumers array.
CVE-2026-99026 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-29 2.5 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: team: free skb when broadcast has no txable port bc_transmit() sends the original skb through the last txable port. When no port is txable, it returns false without consuming the skb, but team_xmit() still returns NETDEV_TX_OK. AF_PACKET sends then retain the skb and its socket write-memory charge. A TX-enabled, link-down port keeps the broadcast transmit op installed. Carrier can stay up through a second link-up, TX-disabled port or be forced on by userspace. Free the original skb on the no-port path while leaving the existing drop accounting intact. Discovered by Sashiko during review of previous commit.
CVE-2026-98958 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-29 6.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: account non-AQL frames per peer rather than per link The driver increments wcid->non_aql_packets when a frame goes to the hardware queue. The completion path decrements the counter again. For an MLO peer, the hardware reports the completion on the link that it used for the transmission. This link can differ from the link that the driver queued the frame on. In that case, the increment and the decrement go to different link wcids, and the count drifts upwards until it blocks the station. Keep the count on the wcid of the primary link, like the other peer-wide state.
CVE-2026-98960 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-29 3.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: don't stash io_uring encoded data across -EAGAIN Returning -EAGAIN while leaving btrfs_uring_encoded_data in the cmd PDU leaks if the request is cancelled or the ring exits before reissue. io_uring does not free driver PDU allocations on cleanup. Write: io_queue_sqe() always issues with IO_URING_F_NONBLOCK first, so return -EAGAIN before allocating and free data on every exit. Read: free on nowait -EAGAIN too; only -EIOCBQUEUED keeps the allocation for btrfs_uring_read_finished().
CVE-2026-118094 2 Igorfuna, Wordpress-extensions 2 Ad Inserter, Ad Inserter 2026-10-29 6.5 Medium
Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') vulnerability in Igor Funa Ad Inserter ad-inserter allows Stored XSS.This issue affects Ad Inserter: from n/a through 2.8.18.
