CVE-2026-45955 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: md/md-llbitmap: fix percpu_ref not resurrected on suspend timeout When llbitmap_suspend_timeout() times out waiting for percpu_ref to become zero, it returns -ETIMEDOUT without resurrecting the percpu_ref. The caller (md_llbitmap_daemon_fn) then continues to the next page without calling llbitmap_resume(), leaving the percpu_ref in a killed state permanently. Fix this by resurrecting the percpu_ref before returning the error, ensuring the page control structure remains usable for subsequent operations.
CVE-2026-45933 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Preserve id of register in sync_linked_regs() sync_linked_regs() copies the id of known_reg to reg when propagating bounds of known_reg to reg using the off of known_reg, but when known_reg was linked to reg like: known_reg = reg ; both known_reg and reg get same id known_reg += 4 ; known_reg gets off = 4, and its id gets BPF_ADD_CONST now when a call to sync_linked_regs() happens, let's say with the following: if known_reg >= 10 goto pc+2 known_reg's new bounds are propagated to reg but now reg gets BPF_ADD_CONST from the copy. This means if another link to reg is created like: another_reg = reg ; another_reg should get the id of reg but assign_scalar_id_before_mov() sees BPF_ADD_CONST on reg and assigns a new id to it. As reg has a new id now, known_reg's link to reg is broken. If we find new bounds for known_reg, they will not be propagated to reg. This can be seen in the selftest added in the next commit: 0: (85) call bpf_get_prandom_u32#7 ; R0=scalar() 1: (57) r0 &= 255 ; R0=scalar(smin=smin32=0,smax=umax=smax32=umax32=255,var_off=(0x0; 0xff)) 2: (bf) r1 = r0 ; R0=scalar(id=1,smin=smin32=0,smax=umax=smax32=umax32=255,var_off=(0x0; 0xff)) R1=scalar(id=1,smin=smin32=0,smax=umax=smax32=umax32=255,var_off=(0x0; 0xff)) 3: (07) r1 += 4 ; R1=scalar(id=1+4,smin=umin=smin32=umin32=4,smax=umax=smax32=umax32=259,var_off=(0x0; 0x1ff)) 4: (a5) if r1 < 0xa goto pc+4 ; R1=scalar(id=1+4,smin=umin=smin32=umin32=10,smax=umax=smax32=umax32=259,var_off=(0x0; 0x1ff)) 5: (bf) r2 = r0 ; R0=scalar(id=2,smin=umin=smin32=umin32=6,smax=umax=smax32=umax32=255) R2=scalar(id=2,smin=umin=smin32=umin32=6,smax=umax=smax32=umax32=255) 6: (a5) if r1 < 0xe goto pc+2 ; R1=scalar(id=1+4,smin=umin=smin32=umin32=14,smax=umax=smax32=umax32=259,var_off=(0x0; 0x1ff)) 7: (35) if r0 >= 0xa goto pc+1 ; R0=scalar(id=2,smin=umin=smin32=umin32=6,smax=umax=smax32=umax32=9,var_off=(0x0; 0xf)) 8: (37) r0 /= 0 div by zero When 4 is verified, r1's bounds are propagated to r0 but r0 also gets BPF_ADD_CONST (bug). When 5 is verified, r0 gets a new id (2) and its link with r1 is broken. After 6 we know r1 has bounds [14, 259] and therefore r0 should have bounds [10, 255], therefore the branch at 7 is always taken. But because r0's id was changed to 2, r1's new bounds are not propagated to r0. The verifier still thinks r0 has bounds [6, 255] before 7 and execution can reach div by zero. Fix this by preserving id in sync_linked_regs() like off and subreg_def.
CVE-2026-43408 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ceph: add a bunch of missing ceph_path_info initializers ceph_mdsc_build_path() must be called with a zero-initialized ceph_path_info parameter, or else the following ceph_mdsc_free_path_info() may crash. Example crash (on Linux 6.18.12): virt_to_cache: Object is not a Slab page! WARNING: CPU: 184 PID: 2871736 at mm/slub.c:6732 kmem_cache_free+0x316/0x400 [...] Call Trace: [...] ceph_open+0x13d/0x3e0 do_dentry_open+0x134/0x480 vfs_open+0x2a/0xe0 path_openat+0x9a3/0x1160 [...] cache_from_obj: Wrong slab cache. names_cache but object is from ceph_inode_info WARNING: CPU: 184 PID: 2871736 at mm/slub.c:6746 kmem_cache_free+0x2dd/0x400 [...] kernel BUG at mm/slub.c:634! Oops: invalid opcode: 0000 [#1] SMP NOPTI RIP: 0010:__slab_free+0x1a4/0x350 Some of the ceph_mdsc_build_path() callers had initializers, but others had not, even though they were all added by commit 15f519e9f883 ("ceph: fix race condition validating r_parent before applying state"). The ones without initializer are suspectible to random crashes. (I can imagine it could even be possible to exploit this bug to elevate privileges.) Unfortunately, these Ceph functions are undocumented and its semantics can only be derived from the code. I see that ceph_mdsc_build_path() initializes the structure only on success, but not on error. Calling ceph_mdsc_free_path_info() after a failed ceph_mdsc_build_path() call does not even make sense, but that's what all callers do, and for it to be safe, the structure must be zero-initialized. The least intrusive approach to fix this is therefore to add initializers everywhere.
CVE-2026-43405 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: Use u32 for non-negative values in ceph_monmap_decode() This patch fixes unnecessary implicit conversions that change signedness of blob_len and num_mon in ceph_monmap_decode(). Currently blob_len and num_mon are (signed) int variables. They are used to hold values that are always non-negative and get assigned in ceph_decode_32_safe(), which is meant to assign u32 values. Both variables are subsequently used as unsigned values, and the value of num_mon is further assigned to monmap->num_mon, which is of type u32. Therefore, both variables should be of type u32. This is especially relevant for num_mon. If the value read from the incoming message is very large, it is interpreted as a negative value, and the check for num_mon > CEPH_MAX_MON does not catch it. This leads to the attempt to allocate a very large chunk of memory for monmap, which will most likely fail. In this case, an unnecessary attempt to allocate memory is performed, and -ENOMEM is returned instead of -EINVAL.
CVE-2026-43303 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/page_alloc: clear page->private in free_pages_prepare() Several subsystems (slub, shmem, ttm, etc.) use page->private but don't clear it before freeing pages. When these pages are later allocated as high-order pages and split via split_page(), tail pages retain stale page->private values. This causes a use-after-free in the swap subsystem. The swap code uses page->private to track swap count continuations, assuming freshly allocated pages have page->private == 0. When stale values are present, swap_count_continued() incorrectly assumes the continuation list is valid and iterates over uninitialized page->lru containing LIST_POISON values, causing a crash: KASAN: maybe wild-memory-access in range [0xdead000000000100-0xdead000000000107] RIP: 0010:__do_sys_swapoff+0x1151/0x1860 Fix this by clearing page->private in free_pages_prepare(), ensuring all freed pages have clean state regardless of previous use.
CVE-2026-43139 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 8.6 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm6: fix uninitialized saddr in xfrm6_get_saddr() xfrm6_get_saddr() does not check the return value of ipv6_dev_get_saddr(). When ipv6_dev_get_saddr() fails to find a suitable source address (returns -EADDRNOTAVAIL), saddr->in6 is left uninitialized, but xfrm6_get_saddr() still returns 0 (success). This causes the caller xfrm_tmpl_resolve_one() to use the uninitialized address in xfrm_state_find(), triggering KMSAN warning: ===================================================== BUG: KMSAN: uninit-value in xfrm_state_find+0x2424/0xa940 xfrm_state_find+0x2424/0xa940 xfrm_resolve_and_create_bundle+0x906/0x5a20 xfrm_lookup_with_ifid+0xcc0/0x3770 xfrm_lookup_route+0x63/0x2b0 ip_route_output_flow+0x1ce/0x270 udp_sendmsg+0x2ce1/0x3400 inet_sendmsg+0x1ef/0x2a0 __sock_sendmsg+0x278/0x3d0 __sys_sendto+0x593/0x720 __x64_sys_sendto+0x130/0x200 x64_sys_call+0x332b/0x3e70 do_syscall_64+0xd3/0xf80 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x77/0x7f Local variable tmp.i.i created at: xfrm_resolve_and_create_bundle+0x3e3/0x5a20 xfrm_lookup_with_ifid+0xcc0/0x3770 ===================================================== Fix by checking the return value of ipv6_dev_get_saddr() and propagating the error.
CVE-2026-110885 2026-10-19 6.5 Medium
Improper Control of Generation of Code ('Code Injection') vulnerability in HivePress HivePress hivepress allows Code Injection. This issue affects HivePress: from n/a through 1.7.32.
CVE-2026-104086 1 7-zip 1 7-zip 2026-10-19 5.5 Medium
7-Zip before 26.03 contains an uninitialized memory disclosure vulnerability in the SquashFS v4 archive handler (SquashfsHandler.cpp) that allows attackers to leak heap memory by crafting a malicious archive where the superblock’s no_ids field is set so that the final metadata block’s expected size is miscomputed and bypasses the size validation check. By listing or extracting the crafted archive, attackers can cause the application to return uninitialized heap memory as the kpidUserId and kpidGroupId properties, exposing potentially sensitive process memory contents to the user.
CVE-2026-78163 1 Apache 2 Apache Camel, Camel 2026-10-19 5.9 Medium
Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF), Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') and Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor vulnerability in Apache Camel Docling component. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.15.0 before 4.18.5, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.1. DoclingProducer decided what a String message body meant by inspecting its prefix. A body starting with http:// or https:// was handed to Docling as a remote URL to fetch, a body starting with / or containing a backslash was read from the local filesystem, and anything else was written to a temporary file and converted as document content. The mode was chosen implicitly and no endpoint option allowed a route author to pin the component to a single interpretation, so a route that means convert whatever text arrives in the body silently became a fetcher of remote resources or a reader of local files whenever the text happened to begin with one of those prefixes. The only guard applied to the derived value was a size check, and that check was wrapped in an existence test, so a path that resolved to nothing, or to a pseudo-file reporting a size of zero, passed without being checked at all. Five call sites reached the two sinks: the CLI mode appended the value as the final positional argument of the docling subprocess, and the docling-serve mode passed it either to HttpSource for the backend to fetch or to Files.readAllBytes so that the content could be base64-encoded and uploaded. Because the exchange body is never filtered by a HeaderFilterStrategy, unlike the Camel header namespace, a sender able to place text in a message that a route forwards into a docling endpoint could reach both sinks without any opt-in from the deployment. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.23.0, which fixes the issue. If users are on the 4.22.x releases stream, then they are suggested to upgrade to 4.22.1. If users are on the 4.18.x releases stream, then they are suggested to upgrade to 4.18.5. The 4.14.x releases stream and earlier reached end of life before this issue was resolved and will not receive a fix, so deployments on those lines must move to a supported release. For deployments that cannot upgrade immediately, do not route message bodies that originate outside the deployment into a docling endpoint, and pass the document through a typed body such as File, byte[] or InputStream, or through the CamelDoclingInputFilePath header, so that the body is never subject to prefix interpretation.
CVE-2026-31693 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cifs: some missing initializations on replay In several places in the code, we have a label to signify the start of the code where a request can be replayed if necessary. However, some of these places were missing the necessary reinitializations of certain local variables before replay. This change makes sure that these variables get initialized after the label.
CVE-2026-31656 1 Linux 2 Kernel, Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/i915/gt: fix refcount underflow in intel_engine_park_heartbeat A use-after-free / refcount underflow is possible when the heartbeat worker and intel_engine_park_heartbeat() race to release the same engine->heartbeat.systole request. The heartbeat worker reads engine->heartbeat.systole and calls i915_request_put() on it when the request is complete, but clears the pointer in a separate, non-atomic step. Concurrently, a request retirement on another CPU can drop the engine wakeref to zero, triggering __engine_park() -> intel_engine_park_heartbeat(). If the heartbeat timer is pending at that point, cancel_delayed_work() returns true and intel_engine_park_heartbeat() reads the stale non-NULL systole pointer and calls i915_request_put() on it again, causing a refcount underflow: ``` <4> [487.221889] Workqueue: i915-unordered engine_retire [i915] <4> [487.222640] RIP: 0010:refcount_warn_saturate+0x68/0xb0 ... <4> [487.222707] Call Trace: <4> [487.222711] <TASK> <4> [487.222716] intel_engine_park_heartbeat.part.0+0x6f/0x80 [i915] <4> [487.223115] intel_engine_park_heartbeat+0x25/0x40 [i915] <4> [487.223566] __engine_park+0xb9/0x650 [i915] <4> [487.223973] ____intel_wakeref_put_last+0x2e/0xb0 [i915] <4> [487.224408] __intel_wakeref_put_last+0x72/0x90 [i915] <4> [487.224797] intel_context_exit_engine+0x7c/0x80 [i915] <4> [487.225238] intel_context_exit+0xf1/0x1b0 [i915] <4> [487.225695] i915_request_retire.part.0+0x1b9/0x530 [i915] <4> [487.226178] i915_request_retire+0x1c/0x40 [i915] <4> [487.226625] engine_retire+0x122/0x180 [i915] <4> [487.227037] process_one_work+0x239/0x760 <4> [487.227060] worker_thread+0x200/0x3f0 <4> [487.227068] ? __pfx_worker_thread+0x10/0x10 <4> [487.227075] kthread+0x10d/0x150 <4> [487.227083] ? __pfx_kthread+0x10/0x10 <4> [487.227092] ret_from_fork+0x3d4/0x480 <4> [487.227099] ? __pfx_kthread+0x10/0x10 <4> [487.227107] ret_from_fork_asm+0x1a/0x30 <4> [487.227141] </TASK> ``` Fix this by replacing the non-atomic pointer read + separate clear with xchg() in both racing paths. xchg() is a single indivisible hardware instruction that atomically reads the old pointer and writes NULL. This guarantees only one of the two concurrent callers obtains the non-NULL pointer and performs the put, the other gets NULL and skips it. CVE-2026-31436 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dmaengine: idxd: fix possible wrong descriptor completion in llist_abort_desc() At the end of this function, d is the traversal cursor of flist, but the code completes found instead. This can lead to issues such as NULL pointer dereferences, double completion, or descriptor leaks. Fix this by completing d instead of found in the final list_for_each_entry_safe() loop.
CVE-2026-23391 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: xt_CT: drop pending enqueued packets on template removal Templates refer to objects that can go away while packets are sitting in nfqueue refer to: - helper, this can be an issue on module removal. - timeout policy, nfnetlink_cttimeout might remove it. The use of templates with zone and event cache filter are safe, since this just copies values. Flush these enqueued packets in case the template rule gets removed.
CVE-2026-23317 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vmwgfx: Return the correct value in vmw_translate_ptr functions Before the referenced fixes these functions used a lookup function that returned a pointer. This was changed to another lookup function that returned an error code with the pointer becoming an out parameter. The error path when the lookup failed was not changed to reflect this change and the code continued to return the PTR_ERR of the now uninitialized pointer. This could cause the vmw_translate_ptr functions to return success when they actually failed causing further uninitialized and OOB accesses.
CVE-2026-23274 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: xt_IDLETIMER: reject rev0 reuse of ALARM timer labels IDLETIMER revision 0 rules reuse existing timers by label and always call mod_timer() on timer->timer. If the label was created first by revision 1 with XT_IDLETIMER_ALARM, the object uses alarm timer semantics and timer->timer is never initialized. Reusing that object from revision 0 causes mod_timer() on an uninitialized timer_list, triggering debugobjects warnings and possible panic when panic_on_warn=1. Fix this by rejecting revision 0 rule insertion when an existing timer with the same label is of ALARM type.
CVE-2026-23101 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: leds: led-class: Only Add LED to leds_list when it is fully ready Before this change the LED was added to leds_list before led_init_core() gets called adding it the list before led_classdev.set_brightness_work gets initialized. This leaves a window where led_trigger_register() of a LED's default trigger will call led_trigger_set() which calls led_set_brightness() which in turn will end up queueing the *uninitialized* led_classdev.set_brightness_work. This race gets hit by the lenovo-thinkpad-t14s EC driver which registers 2 LEDs with a default trigger provided by snd_ctl_led.ko in quick succession. The first led_classdev_register() causes an async modprobe of snd_ctl_led to run and that async modprobe manages to exactly hit the window where the second LED is on the leds_list without led_init_core() being called for it, resulting in: ------------[ cut here ]------------ WARNING: CPU: 11 PID: 5608 at kernel/workqueue.c:4234 __flush_work+0x344/0x390 Hardware name: LENOVO 21N2S01F0B/21N2S01F0B, BIOS N42ET93W (2.23 ) 09/01/2025 ... In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: af_alg - zero initialize memory allocated via sock_kmalloc Several crypto user API contexts and requests allocated with sock_kmalloc() were left uninitialized, relying on callers to set fields explicitly. This resulted in the use of uninitialized data in certain error paths or when new fields are added in the future. The ACVP patches also contain two user-space interface files: algif_kpp.c and algif_akcipher.c. These too rely on proper initialization of their context structures. A particular issue has been observed with the newly added 'inflight' variable introduced in af_alg_ctx by commit: 67b164a871af ("crypto: af_alg - Disallow multiple in-flight AIO requests") Because the context is not memset to zero after allocation, the inflight variable has contained garbage values. As a result, af_alg_alloc_areq() has incorrectly returned -EBUSY randomly when the garbage value was interpreted as true: https://github.com/gregkh/linux/blame/master/crypto/af_alg.c#L1209 The check directly tests ctx->inflight without explicitly comparing against true/false. Since inflight is only ever set to true or false later, an uninitialized value has triggered -EBUSY failures. Zero-initializing memory allocated with sock_kmalloc() ensures inflight and other fields start in a known state, removing random issues caused by uninitialized data.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/core: Check for the presence of LS_NLA_TYPE_DGID correctly The netlink response for RDMA_NL_LS_OP_IP_RESOLVE should always have a LS_NLA_TYPE_DGID attribute, it is invalid if it does not. Use the nl parsing logic properly and call nla_parse_deprecated() to fill the nlattrs array and then directly index that array to get the data for the DGID. Just fail if it is NULL. Remove the for loop searching for the nla, and squash the validation and parsing into one function. Fixes an uninitialized read from the stack triggered by userspace if it does not provide the DGID to a kernel initiated RDMA_NL_LS_OP_IP_RESOLVE query.
