CVE-2021-46911 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ch_ktls: Fix kernel panic Taking page refcount is not ideal and causes kernel panic sometimes. It's better to take tx_ctx lock for the complete skb transmit, to avoid page cleanup if ACK received in middle.
CVE-2021-46910 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ARM: 9063/1: mm: reduce maximum number of CPUs if DEBUG_KMAP_LOCAL is enabled The debugging code for kmap_local() doubles the number of per-CPU fixmap slots allocated for kmap_local(), in order to use half of them as guard regions. This causes the fixmap region to grow downwards beyond the start of its reserved window if the supported number of CPUs is large, and collide with the newly added virtual DT mapping right below it, which is obviously not good. One manifestation of this is EFI boot on a kernel built with NR_CPUS=32 and CONFIG_DEBUG_KMAP_LOCAL=y, which may pass the FDT in highmem, resulting in block entries below the fixmap region that the fixmap code misidentifies as fixmap table entries, and subsequently tries to dereference using a phys-to-virt translation that is only valid for lowmem. This results in a cryptic splat such as the one below. ftrace: allocating 45548 entries in 89 pages 8<--- cut here --- Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address fc6006f0 pgd = (ptrval) [fc6006f0] *pgd=80000040207003, *pmd=00000000 Internal error: Oops: a06 [#1] SMP ARM Modules linked in: CPU: 0 PID: 0 Comm: swapper Not tainted 5.11.0+ #382 Hardware name: Generic DT based system PC is at cpu_ca15_set_pte_ext+0x24/0x30 LR is at __set_fixmap+0xe4/0x118 pc : [<c041ac9c>] lr : [<c04189d8>] psr: 400000d3 sp : c1601ed8 ip : 00400000 fp : 00800000 r10: 0000071f r9 : 00421000 r8 : 00c00000 r7 : 00c00000 r6 : 0000071f r5 : ffade000 r4 : 4040171f r3 : 00c00000 r2 : 4040171f r1 : c041ac78 r0 : fc6006f0 Flags: nZcv IRQs off FIQs off Mode SVC_32 ISA ARM Segment none Control: 30c5387d Table: 40203000 DAC: 00000001 Process swapper (pid: 0, stack limit = 0x(ptrval)) So let's limit CONFIG_NR_CPUS to 16 when CONFIG_DEBUG_KMAP_LOCAL=y. CVE-2021-46908 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Use correct permission flag for mixed signed bounds arithmetic We forbid adding unknown scalars with mixed signed bounds due to the spectre v1 masking mitigation. Hence this also needs bypass_spec_v1 flag instead of allow_ptr_leaks.
CVE-2021-4454 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: j1939: fix errant WARN_ON_ONCE in j1939_session_deactivate The conclusion "j1939_session_deactivate() should be called with a session ref-count of at least 2" is incorrect. In some concurrent scenarios, j1939_session_deactivate can be called with the session ref-count less than 2. But there is not any problem because it will check the session active state before session putting in j1939_session_deactivate_locked(). Here is the concurrent scenario of the problem reported by syzbot and my reproduction log. cpu0 cpu1 j1939_xtp_rx_eoma j1939_xtp_rx_abort_one j1939_session_get_by_addr [kref == 2] j1939_session_get_by_addr [kref == 3] j1939_session_deactivate [kref == 2] j1939_session_put [kref == 1] j1939_session_completed j1939_session_deactivate WARN_ON_ONCE(kref < 2) ===================================================== WARNING: CPU: 1 PID: 21 at net/can/j1939/transport.c:1088 j1939_session_deactivate+0x5f/0x70 CPU: 1 PID: 21 Comm: ksoftirqd/1 Not tainted 5.14.0-rc7+ #32 Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (i440FX + PIIX, 1996), BIOS 1.13.0-1ubuntu1 04/01/2014 RIP: 0010:j1939_session_deactivate+0x5f/0x70 Call Trace: j1939_session_deactivate_activate_next+0x11/0x28 j1939_xtp_rx_eoma+0x12a/0x180 j1939_tp_recv+0x4a2/0x510 j1939_can_recv+0x226/0x380 can_rcv_filter+0xf8/0x220 can_receive+0x102/0x220 ? process_backlog+0xf0/0x2c0 can_rcv+0x53/0xf0 __netif_receive_skb_one_core+0x67/0x90 ? process_backlog+0x97/0x2c0 __netif_receive_skb+0x22/0x80
CVE-2020-36791 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net_sched: keep alloc_hash updated after hash allocation In commit 599be01ee567 ("net_sched: fix an OOB access in cls_tcindex") I moved cp->hash calculation before the first tcindex_alloc_perfect_hash(), but cp->alloc_hash is left untouched. This difference could lead to another out of bound access. cp->alloc_hash should always be the size allocated, we should update it after this tcindex_alloc_perfect_hash().
CVE-2020-36787 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: aspeed: fix clock handling logic Video engine uses eclk and vclk for its clock sources and its reset control is coupled with eclk so the current clock enabling sequence works like below. Enable eclk De-assert Video Engine reset 10ms delay Enable vclk It introduces improper reset on the Video Engine hardware and eventually the hardware generates unexpected DMA memory transfers that can corrupt memory region in random and sporadic patterns. This issue is observed very rarely on some specific AST2500 SoCs but it causes a critical kernel panic with making a various shape of signature so it's extremely hard to debug. Moreover, the issue is observed even when the video engine is not actively used because udevd turns on the video engine hardware for a short time to make a query in every boot. To fix this issue, this commit changes the clock handling logic to make the reset de-assertion triggered after enabling both eclk and vclk. Also, it adds clk_unprepare call for a case when probe fails. clk: ast2600: fix reset settings for eclk and vclk Video engine reset setting should be coupled with eclk to match it with the setting for previous Aspeed SoCs which is defined in clk-aspeed.c since all Aspeed SoCs are sharing a single video engine driver. Also, reset bit 6 is defined as 'Video Engine' reset in datasheet so it should be de-asserted when eclk is enabled. This commit fixes the setting.
CVE-2019-25160 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2026-08-04 9.1 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netlabel: fix out-of-bounds memory accesses There are two array out-of-bounds memory accesses, one in cipso_v4_map_lvl_valid(), the other in netlbl_bitmap_walk(). Both errors are embarassingly simple, and the fixes are straightforward. As a FYI for anyone backporting this patch to kernels prior to v4.8, you'll want to apply the netlbl_bitmap_walk() patch to cipso_v4_bitmap_walk() as netlbl_bitmap_walk() doesn't exist before Linux v4.8.
CVE-2026-13894 4 Apple, Google, Linux and 1 more 4 Macos, Chrome, Linux Kernel and 1 more 2026-08-04 6.5 Medium
Insufficient policy enforcement in Network in Google Chrome prior to 150.0.7871.47 allowed an attacker in a privileged network position to bypass navigation restrictions via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
CVE-2026-63943 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: xpad - fix out-of-bounds access for Share button xpadone_process_packet() receives len directly from urb->actual_length and uses it to index the share-button byte at data[len - 18] or data[len - 26]. Since both len and data[0] are under the device's control, a broken controller can send a GIP_CMD_INPUT packet with actual_length < 18 (e.g. 5 bytes) and reach this code path, causing accesses beyond the actual array. Fix this by calculating the offset and checking bounds against the packet length.
CVE-2026-16422 2 Google, Linux 2 Chrome, Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.5 High
Insufficient validation of untrusted input in Certificate in Google Chrome on Linux prior to 150.0.7871.182 allowed an attacker in a privileged network position to perform domain spoofing via malicious network traffic. (Chromium security severity: High)
CVE-2026-64275 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: elan_i2c - prevent division by zero and arithmetic underflow The Elan I2C touchpad driver queries the device for its physical dimensions and trace counts to calculate the device resolution and width. However, if the device firmware or device tree provides invalid zero values for x_traces or y_traces, it results in a fatal division-by-zero exception leading to a kernel panic during device probe. Add checks to ensure these parameters are non-zero before performing the division. If invalid trace values are detected, fall back to a safe default of 1. Additionally, prevent an arithmetic underflow in the touch reporting logic. Previously, if the calculated or fallback width was smaller than ETP_FWIDTH_REDUCE (90), the subtraction would underflow, resulting in a massive unsigned integer being reported to userspace. Clamp the adjusted width to a minimum of 0 to safely handle small physical dimensions and fallback scenarios. Completing the probe with safe fallback values ensures the sysfs nodes are created, keeping the firmware update path intact so a recovery firmware can be flashed to the device.
CVE-2026-64277 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-03 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: synaptics-rmi4 - bound the F3A keymap to the GPIO count rmi_f3a_initialize() takes the GPIO count from the device query register (f3a->gpio_count = buf & RMI_F3A_GPIO_COUNT, range 0..127). rmi_f3a_map_gpios() then allocates gpio_key_map with min(gpio_count, TRACKSTICK_RANGE_END) == at most 6 entries, but rmi_f3a_attention() iterates the full gpio_count and dereferences gpio_key_map[i], and input->keycodemax is set to the full gpio_count while input->keycode points at the 6-entry allocation. A device that reports gpio_count > 6 therefore causes an out-of-bounds read of gpio_key_map[] on every attention interrupt, and out-of-bounds accesses through the input core's default keymap ioctls: EVIOCGKEYCODE reads past the buffer (leaking adjacent slab memory to user space) and EVIOCSKEYCODE writes a caller-controlled value past it, for any process able to open the evdev node, since input_default_getkeycode() and input_default_setkeycode() only bound the index against keycodemax. Size the keymap for the full gpio_count. The mapping loop is unchanged: it still assigns only the first min(gpio_count, TRACKSTICK_RANGE_END) entries; the remaining slots stay KEY_RESERVED (devm_kcalloc zero-fills) and are skipped when reporting.
CVE-2026-64284 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-03 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: x86: Ensure vendor's exit handler runs before fastpath userspace exits Move the handling of fastpath userspace exits into vendor code to ensure KVM runs vendor specific operations that need to run before userspace gains control of the vCPU. E.g. for VMX (and soon to be for SVM as well), KVM needs to flush the PML buffer prior to exiting to userspace, otherwise any memory written by the final KVM_RUN might never be flagged as dirty. Note, waiting to snapshot CR0 and CR3 until svm_handle_exit() is flawed in general, as that risks consuming stale state in a fastpath handler. That will be addressed in a future change.
CVE-2026-64290 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommufd: Break the loop on failure in iommufd_fault_fops_read() On a copy_to_user() failure inside the inner list_for_each_entry, only the inner loop breaks; the outer while re-fetches the just-restored fault group and retries the failing copy_to_user() forever, spinning the reader at 100% CPU with fault->mutex held. Check rc after the inner loop and break the outer while as well.
CVE-2026-64360 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hfs/hfsplus: zero-initialize buffer in hfs_bnode_read hfs_bnode_read() can return early without writing to the output buffer when is_bnode_offset_valid() fails or when check_and_correct_requested_ length() corrects the length to zero. Callers such as hfs_bnode_read_ u16() and hfs_bnode_read_u8() pass stack-allocated buffers and use the result unconditionally, leading to KMSAN uninit-value reports. Rather than initializing at each individual call site, zero the buffer at the start of hfs_bnode_read() before any validation checks. This ensures all callers in both hfs and hfsplus get a deterministic zero value regardless of which early-return path is taken.
CVE-2026-64409 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btmtksdio: fix infinite loop in btmtksdio_txrx_work() Every once in a while we see a hung btmtksdio_flush() task: INFO: task kworker/u17:0:189 blocked for more than 122 seconds. __cancel_work_timer+0x3f4/0x460 cancel_work_sync+0x1c/0x2c btmtksdio_flush+0x2c/0x40 hci_dev_open_sync+0x10c4/0x2190 [..] It all boils down to incorrect time_is_before_jiffies() usage in btmtksdio_txrx_work(). The btmtksdio_txrx_work() loop is expected to be terminated if running for longer than 5*HZ. However the timeout check is twisted: time_is_before_jiffies(old_jiffies + 5*HZ) evaluates to true when old_jiffies + 5*HZ is in the past i.e. when a timeout has occurred. Using OR with time_is_before_jiffies(txrx_timeout) means that: - before the 5-second timeout: the condition is `int_status || false`, so it loops as long as there are pending interrupts. - after the 5-second timeout: the condition becomes `int_status || true`, which is always true. When the loop becomes infinite btmtksdio_txrx_work() loop never terminates and never releases the SDIO host. Fix loop termination condition to actually enforce a 5*HZ timeout.
CVE-2026-64457 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: virtio_pci: fix vq info pointer lookup via wrong index Unbinding a virtio balloon device: echo virtio0 > /sys/bus/virtio/drivers/virtio_balloon/unbind triggers a NULL pointer dereference. The dmesg says: BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000008 [...] RIP: 0010:__list_del_entry_valid_or_report+0x5/0xf0 Call Trace: <TASK> vp_del_vqs+0x121/0x230 remove_common+0x135/0x150 virtballoon_remove+0xee/0x100 virtio_dev_remove+0x3b/0x80 device_release_driver_internal+0x187/0x2c0 unbind_store+0xb9/0xe0 kernfs_fop_write_iter.llvm.11660790530567441834+0xf6/0x180 vfs_write+0x2a9/0x3b0 ksys_write+0x5c/0xd0 do_syscall_64+0x54/0x230 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x29/0x31 [...] </TASK> The virtio_balloon device registers 5 queues (inflate, deflate, stats, free_page, reporting) but only the first two are unconditional. The stats, free_page and reporting queues are each conditional on their respective feature bits. When any of these features are absent, the corresponding vqs_info entry has name == NULL, creating holes in the array. The root cause is an indexing mismatch introduced when vq info storage was changed to be passed as an argument. vp_find_vqs_msix() and vp_find_vqs_intx() store the info pointer at vp_dev->vqs[i], where 'i' is the caller's sparse array index. However, the virtqueue itself gets vq->index assigned from queue_idx, a dense index that skips NULL entries. When holes exist, 'i' and queue_idx diverge. Later, vp_del_vqs() looks up info via vp_dev->vqs[vq->index] using the dense index into the sparsely-populated array, and hits NULL. Fix this by storing info at vp_dev->vqs[queue_idx] instead of vp_dev->vqs[i], so the store index matches the lookup index (vq->index). Apply the fix to both the MSIX and INTX paths.
CVE-2026-64470 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-03 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btusb: fix use-after-free on marvell probe failure Make sure to stop any TX URBs submitted during Marvell OOB wakeup configuration on later probe failures to avoid use-after-free in the completion callback. This issue was reported by Sashiko while reviewing a fix for a wakeup source leak in the btusb probe errors paths.
CVE-2026-64475 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-03 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vfio/pci: Release the VGA arbiter client on register_device() failure The re-order in the Fixes commit below displaced vfio_pci_vga_init() as the last failure point of what is now vfio_pci_core_register_device() without introducing an unwind for the VGA arbiter registration. In current kernels this is mostly benign because vfio_pci_set_decode() only uses pci_dev state, but the original failure path could leave a callback with a freed vdev cookie. The stale registration also becomes unsafe again once the callback follows drvdata to the vfio device. Add the required VGA unwind callout.
CVE-2026-64500 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-03 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: adc: lpc32xx: Initialize completion before requesting IRQ In the report from Jaeyoung Chung: "lpc32xx_adc_probe() in drivers/iio/adc/lpc32xx_adc.c registers its interrupt handler with devm_request_irq() before it initializes st->completion with init_completion(). If an interrupt arrives after devm_request_irq() and before init_completion(), the handler calls complete() on an uninitialized completion, causing a kernel panic. The probe path, in lpc32xx_adc_probe(): iodev = devm_iio_device_alloc(&pdev->dev, sizeof(*st)); /* st kzalloc-zeroed */ ... retval = devm_request_irq(&pdev->dev, irq, lpc32xx_adc_isr, 0, LPC32XXAD_NAME, st); /* register handler */ ... init_completion(&st->completion); /* initialize completion */ lpc32xx_adc_isr() calls complete(): complete(&st->completion); If the device raises an interrupt before init_completion() runs, complete() acquires the uninitialized wait.lock and walks the zeroed task_list in swake_up_locked(). The zeroed task_list makes list_empty() return false, so swake_up_locked() dereferences a NULL list entry, triggering a KASAN wild-memory-access." Fix the chance of a spurious IRQ causing an uninitialized pointer dereference by moving init_completion() above devm_request_irq().
