| A vulnerability was found in HDF5 up to 1.14.6. It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is the function H5FL__blk_gc_list of the file src/H5FL.c. The manipulation of the argument H5FL_blk_head_t leads to use after free. An attack has to be approached locally. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. | ||||
| CVE-2022-50492 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-01-23 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/msm: fix use-after-free on probe deferral The bridge counter was never reset when tearing down the DRM device so that stale pointers to deallocated structures would be accessed on the next tear down (e.g. after a second late bind deferral). Given enough bridges and a few probe deferrals this could currently also lead to data beyond the bridge array being corrupted. Patchwork: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/502665/ | ||||
| CVE-2025-39951 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-01-23 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: um: virtio_uml: Fix use-after-free after put_device in probe When register_virtio_device() fails in virtio_uml_probe(), the code sets vu_dev->registered = 1 even though the device was not successfully registered. This can lead to use-after-free or other issues. | ||||
| CVE-2025-52946 | 2 Juniper, Juniper Networks | 4 Junos, Junos Os Evolved, Junos Os and 1 more | 2026-01-23 | 7.5 High |
| A Use After Free vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved allows an attacker sending a BGP update with a specifically malformed AS PATH to cause rpd to crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS). Continuous receipt of the malformed AS PATH attribute will cause a sustained DoS condition. On all Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved platforms, the rpd process will crash and restart when a specifically malformed AS PATH is received within a BGP update and traceoptions are enabled. This issue only affects systems with BGP traceoptions enabled and requires a BGP session to be already established. Systems without BGP traceoptions enabled are not impacted by this issue. This issue affects: Junos OS: * All versions before 21.2R3-S9, * all versions of 21.4, * from 22.2 before 22.2R3-S6, * from 22.4 before 22.4R3-S5, * from 23.2 before 23.2R2-S3, * from 23.4 before 23.4R2-S4, * from 24.2 before 24.2R2; Junos OS Evolved: * All versions before 22.4R3-S5-EVO, * from 23.2-EVO before 23.2R2-S3-EVO, * from 23.4-EVO before 23.4R2-S4-EVO, * from 24.2-EVO before 24.2R2-EVO. This is a more complete fix for previously published CVE-2024-39549 (JSA83011). | ||||
| CVE-2022-50470 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-01-23 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xhci: Remove device endpoints from bandwidth list when freeing the device Endpoints are normally deleted from the bandwidth list when they are dropped, before the virt device is freed. If xHC host is dying or being removed then the endpoints aren't dropped cleanly due to functions returning early to avoid interacting with a non-accessible host controller. So check and delete endpoints that are still on the bandwidth list when freeing the virt device. Solves a list_del corruption kernel crash when unbinding xhci-pci, caused by xhci_mem_cleanup() when it later tried to delete already freed endpoints from the bandwidth list. This only affects hosts that use software bandwidth checking, which currenty is only the xHC in intel Panther Point PCH (Ivy Bridge) | ||||

| CVE-2023-53504 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-01-23 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/bnxt_re: Properly order ib_device_unalloc() to avoid UAF ib_dealloc_device() should be called only after device cleanup. Fix the dealloc sequence. | ||||
| CVE-2022-50499 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-01-22 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: dvb-core: Fix double free in dvb_register_device() In function dvb_register_device() -> dvb_register_media_device() -> dvb_create_media_entity(), dvb->entity is allocated and initialized. If the initialization fails, it frees the dvb->entity, and return an error code. The caller takes the error code and handles the error by calling dvb_media_device_free(), which unregisters the entity and frees the field again if it is not NULL. As dvb->entity may not NULLed in dvb_create_media_entity() when the allocation of dvbdev->pad fails, a double free may occur. This may also cause an Use After free in media_device_unregister_entity(). Fix this by storing NULL to dvb->entity when it is freed. | ||||

| CVE-2025-68656 | 1 Espressif | 2 Esp-usb, Usb Host Hid Driver | 2026-01-22 | 6.8 Medium |
| Espressif ESP-IDF USB Host HID (Human Interface Device) Driver allows access to HID devices. Prior to 1.1.0, usb_class_request_get_descriptor() frees and reallocates hid_device->ctrl_xfer when an oversized descriptor is requested but continues to use the stale local pointer, leading to an immediate use-after-free when processing attacker-controlled Report Descriptor lengths. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.1.0. | ||||
| CVE-2025-68657 | 1 Espressif | 2 Esp-usb, Usb Host Hid Driver | 2026-01-22 | 6.4 Medium |
| Espressif ESP-IDF USB Host HID (Human Interface Device) Driver allows access to HID devices. Prior to 1.1.0, calls to hid_host_device_close() can free the same usb_transfer_t twice. The USB event callback and user code share the hid_iface_t state without locking, so both can tear down a READY interface simultaneously, corrupting heap metadata inside the ESP USB host stack. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.1.0. | ||||
| CVE-2024-23807 | 1 Apache | 2 Xerces-c, Xerces-c\+\+ | 2026-01-22 | 8.1 High |
| The Apache Xerces C++ XML parser on versions 3.0.0 before 3.2.5 contains a use-after-free error triggered during the scanning of external DTDs. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.2.5 which fixes the issue, or mitigate the issue by disabling DTD processing. This can be accomplished via the DOM using a standard parser feature, or via SAX using the XERCES_DISABLE_DTD environment variable. This issue has been disclosed before as CVE-2018-1311, but unfortunately that advisory incorrectly stated the issue would be fixed in version 3.2.3 or 3.2.4. | ||||
| CVE-2023-1393 | 3 Fedoraproject, Redhat, X.org | 7 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 4 more | 2026-01-22 | 7.8 High |
| A flaw was found in X.Org Server Overlay Window. A Use-After-Free may lead to local privilege escalation. If a client explicitly destroys the compositor overlay window (aka COW), the Xserver would leave a dangling pointer to that window in the CompScreen structure, which will trigger a use-after-free later. | ||||
| CVE-2025-31964 | 1 Hcltech | 1 Bigfix Insights For Vulnerability Remediation | 2026-01-21 | 2.2 Low |
| Improper service binding configuration in internal service components in HCL BigFix IVR version 4.2 allows a privileged attacker to impact service availability via exposure of administrative services bound to external network interfaces instead of the local authentication interface. | ||||
| CVE-2022-49465 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux | 2026-01-21 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: blk-throttle: Set BIO_THROTTLED when bio has been throttled 1.In current process, all bio will set the BIO_THROTTLED flag after __blk_throtl_bio(). 2.If bio needs to be throttled, it will start the timer and stop submit bio directly. | CVE-2022-49711 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-01-21 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bus: fsl-mc-bus: fix KASAN use-after-free in fsl_mc_bus_remove() In fsl_mc_bus_remove(), mc->root_mc_bus_dev->mc_io is passed to fsl_destroy_mc_io(). However, mc->root_mc_bus_dev is already freed in fsl_mc_device_remove(). Then reference to mc->root_mc_bus_dev->mc_io triggers KASAN use-after-free. To avoid the use-after-free, keep the reference to mc->root_mc_bus_dev->mc_io in a local variable and pass to fsl_destroy_mc_io(). This patch needs rework to apply to kernels older than v5.15. | ||||
| CVE-2022-49168 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-01-21 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: do not clean up repair bio if submit fails The submit helper will always run bio_endio() on the bio if it fails to submit, so cleaning up the bio just leads to a variety of use-after-free and NULL pointer dereference bugs because we race with the endio function that is cleaning up the bio. Instead just return BLK_STS_OK as the repair function has to continue to process the rest of the pages, and the endio for the repair bio will do the appropriate cleanup for the page that it was given. | ||||
| CVE-2025-39870 | 2 Debian, Linux | 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2026-01-20 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dmaengine: idxd: Fix double free in idxd_setup_wqs() The clean up in idxd_setup_wqs() has had a couple bugs because the error handling is a bit subtle. It's simpler to just re-write it in a cleaner way. The issues here are: 1) If "idxd->max_wqs" is <= 0 then we call put_device(conf_dev) when "conf_dev" hasn't been initialized. 2) If kzalloc_node() fails then again "conf_dev" is invalid. It's either uninitialized or it points to the "conf_dev" from the previous iteration so it leads to a double free. It's better to free partial loop iterations within the loop and then the unwinding at the end can handle whole loop iterations. I also renamed the labels to describe what the goto does and not where the goto was located. | ||||
| CVE-2025-39873 | 2 Debian, Linux | 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2026-01-20 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: xilinx_can: xcan_write_frame(): fix use-after-free of transmitted SKB can_put_echo_skb() takes ownership of the SKB and it may be freed during or after the call. However, xilinx_can xcan_write_frame() keeps using SKB after the call. Fix that by only calling can_put_echo_skb() after the code is done touching the SKB. The tx_lock is held for the entire xcan_write_frame() execution and also on the can_get_echo_skb() side so the order of operations does not matter. An earlier fix commit 3d3c817c3a40 ("can: xilinx_can: Fix usage of skb memory") did not move the can_put_echo_skb() call far enough.
