The splat occurs because skb->data points past skb->head allocated area. This is because neigh layer does: __skb_pull(skb, skb_network_offset(skb)); ... but skb_network_offset() returns a negative offset and __skb_pull() arg is unsigned. IOW, we skb->data gets "adjusted" by a huge value. The negative value is returned because skb->head and skb->data distance is more than 64k and skb->network_header (u16) has wrapped around. The bug is in the ip_tunnel infrastructure, which can cause dev->needed_headroom to increment ad infinitum. The syzkaller reproducer consists of packets getting routed via a gre tunnel, and route of gre encapsulated packets pointing at another (ipip) tunnel. The ipip encapsulation finds gre0 as next output device. This results in the following pattern: 1). First packet is to be sent out via gre0. Route lookup found an output device, ipip0. 2). ip_tunnel_xmit for gre0 bumps gre0->needed_headroom based on the future output device, rt.dev->needed_headroom (ipip0). 3). ip output / start_xmit moves skb on to ipip0. which runs the same code path again (xmit recursion). 4). Routing step for the post-gre0-encap packet finds gre0 as output device to use for ipip0 encapsulated packet. tunl0->needed_headroom is then incremented based on the (already bumped) gre0 device headroom. This repeats for every future packet: gre0->needed_headroom gets inflated because previous packets' ipip0 step incremented rt->dev (gre0) headroom, and ipip0 incremented because gre0 needed_headroom was increased. For each subsequent packet, gre/ipip0->needed_headroom grows until post-expand-head reallocations result in a skb->head/data distance of more than 64k. Once that happens, skb->network_header (u16) wraps around when pskb_expand_head tries to make sure that skb_network_offset() is unchanged after the headroom expansion/reallocation. After this skb_network_offset(skb) returns a different (and negative) result post headroom expansion. The next trip to neigh layer (or anything else that would __skb_pull the network header) makes skb->data point to a memory location outside skb->head area. v2: Cap the needed_headroom update to an arbitarily chosen upperlimit to prevent perpetual increase instead of dropping the headroom increment completely. | ||||
| CVE-2026-18942 | 2 Red Hat, Redhat | 2 Red Hat Openshift Ai (rhoai), Openshift Ai | 2026-08-12 | 5.5 Medium |
| A flaw was found in the Feast operator. A malicious tenant could inject arbitrary code into their feature repository. This code would be executed by an automated process with elevated privileges, allowing the tenant to steal sensitive credentials. This could lead to a direct escalation of privileges, granting the tenant administrative control over the Kubernetes cluster. | ||||
| CVE-2026-14258 | 2 Dhcpcd Project, Redhat | 2 Dhcpcd, Enterprise Linux | 2026-08-12 | 6.5 Medium |
| A flaw was found in dhcpcd's IPv6 Neighbor Discovery Router Advertisement processing. A specially crafted IPv6 Router Advertisement containing a zero-length Neighbor Discovery option can bypass validation during packet storage and later be reparsed without adequate validation, causing the parser to enter a non-advancing loop. Successful exploitation may result in excessive CPU consumption, leading to a denial of service. | ||||
| CVE-2026-4740 | 1 Redhat | 2 Advanced Cluster Management For Kubernetes, Multicluster Engine | 2026-08-12 | 8.2 High |
| A flaw was found in Open Cluster Management (OCM), the technology underlying Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management (ACM). Improper validation of Kubernetes client certificate renewal allows a managed cluster administrator to forge a client certificate that can be approved by the OCM controller. This enables cross-cluster privilege escalation and may allow an attacker to gain control over other managed clusters, including the hub cluster. | ||||
| CVE-2023-44487 | 33 Akka, Amazon, Apache and 30 more | 378 Http Server, Opensearch Data Prepper, Apisix and 375 more | 2026-08-11 | 7.5 High |
| The HTTP/2 protocol allows a denial of service (server resource consumption) because request cancellation can reset many streams quickly, as exploited in the wild in August through October 2023. | ||||
| CVE-2021-44228 | 13 Apache, Apple, Bentley and 10 more | 177 Log4j, Xcode, Synchro and 174 more | 2026-08-11 | 10 Critical |
| Apache Log4j2 2.0-beta9 through 2.15.0 (excluding security releases 2.12.2, 2.12.3, and 2.3.1) JNDI features used in configuration, log messages, and parameters do not protect against attacker controlled LDAP and other JNDI related endpoints. An attacker who can control log messages or log message parameters can execute arbitrary code loaded from LDAP servers when message lookup substitution is enabled. From log4j 2.15.0, this behavior has been disabled by default. From version 2.16.0 (along with 2.12.2, 2.12.3, and 2.3.1), this functionality has been completely removed. Note that this vulnerability is specific to log4j-core and does not affect log4net, log4cxx, or other Apache Logging Services projects. | ||||
| CVE-2026-16456 | 2 Red Hat, Redhat | 2 Red Hat Openshift Ai (rhoai), Openshift Ai | 2026-08-11 | 6.5 Medium |
| A flaw was found in the `odh-model-controller`. An authenticated user with permissions to create custom resources can exploit a vulnerability in the `loadSecret` function. This function improperly reads the Secret namespace from user-controlled input without validation. This allows an attacker to read sensitive API keys and cloud credentials from other namespaces, leading to information disclosure. | ||||
| CVE-2026-19519 | 1 Redhat | 3 Advanced Cluster Security, Quay, Quay 3 | 2026-08-11 | 4.3 Medium |
| A flaw was found in claircore's RPM package scanner. Crafted RPM header data in a container layer can cause an unchecked type assertion to panic the scanner. The panic is not recovered, causing the Clair indexer process to crash, leading to a denial of service. | ||||
| CVE-2024-50312 | 1 Redhat | 2 Openshift, Openshift Container Platform | 2026-08-11 | 5.3 Medium |
| A vulnerability was found in GraphQL due to improper access controls on the GraphQL introspection query. This flaw allows unauthorized users to retrieve a comprehensive list of available queries and mutations. Exposure to this flaw increases the attack surface, as it can facilitate the discovery of flaws or errors specific to the application's GraphQL implementation. | ||||
| CVE-2024-45497 | 1 Redhat | 2 Jboss Fuse, Openshift | 2026-08-11 | 7.6 High |
| A flaw was found in the OpenShift build process, where the docker-build container is configured with a hostPath volume mount that maps the node's /var/lib/kubelet/config.json file into the build pod. This file contains sensitive credentials necessary for pulling images from private repositories. The mount is not read-only, which allows the attacker to overwrite it. By modifying the config.json file, the attacker can cause a denial of service by preventing the node from pulling new images and potentially exfiltrating sensitive secrets. This flaw impacts the availability of services dependent on image pulls and exposes sensitive information to unauthorized parties. | ||||
| CVE-2026-14614 | 1 Redhat | 8 Build Keycloak, Build Of Keycloak, Data Grid and 5 more | 2026-08-11 | 5.4 Medium |
| A flaw was found in the ClientResource component of Keycloak's admin services when Fine-Grained Admin Permissions (FGAP) v2 is enabled. This issue allows a delegated administrator, who should only have limited control over specific clients, to attach or remove hidden client scopes that they are not authorized to see or manage. As a result, an attacker could inject unauthorized data or permissions into the security tokens issued to end-users, potentially tricking other applications into granting higher levels of access than intended. | ||||
| CVE-2024-45496 | 1 Redhat | 1 Openshift | 2026-08-11 | 9.9 Critical |
| A flaw was found in OpenShift. This issue occurs due to the misuse of elevated privileges in the OpenShift Container Platform's build process. During the build initialization step, the git-clone container is run with a privileged security context, allowing unrestricted access to the node. An attacker with developer-level access can provide a crafted .gitconfig file containing commands executed during the cloning process, leading to arbitrary command execution on the worker node. An attacker running code in a privileged container could escalate their permissions on the node running the container. | ||||
| CVE-2024-7387 | 1 Redhat | 1 Openshift | 2026-08-11 | 9.1 Critical |
| A flaw was found in openshift/builder. This vulnerability allows command injection via path traversal, where a malicious user can execute arbitrary commands on the OpenShift node running the builder container. When using the “Docker” strategy, executable files inside the privileged build container can be overridden using the `spec.source.secrets.secret.destinationDir` attribute of the `BuildConfig` definition. An attacker running code in a privileged container could escalate their permissions on the node running the container. | ||||
| CVE-2024-6508 | 1 Redhat | 1 Openshift | 2026-08-11 | 8 High |
| An insufficient entropy vulnerability was found in the Openshift Console. In the authorization code type and implicit grant type, the OAuth2 protocol is vulnerable to a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attack if the state parameter is used inefficiently. This flaw allows logging into the victim’s current application account using a third-party account without any restrictions. | ||||
| CVE-2026-14615 | 1 Redhat | 2 Build Keycloak, Build Of Keycloak | 2026-08-11 | 4.3 Medium |
| A flaw was found in the Fine-Grained Admin Permissions (FGAP) v2 implementation within Keycloak's administrative services. When FGAP v2 is enabled, the system fails to properly filter child groups based on the caller's specific permissions when requested through a parent group. This allows a delegated administrator to view details of child groups they are not authorized to access directly, including group names, paths, and custom attributes. | ||||
| CVE-2026-11986 | 1 Redhat | 4 Build Keycloak, Build Of Keycloak, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform Expansion Pack and 1 more | 2026-08-11 | 4.9 Medium |
| A flaw was found in the admin-ui-ext component of Keycloak, which provides extended administrative user interface capabilities. The issue occurs because certain bulk role-removal endpoints fail to perform granular permission checks when deleting role mappings. This allows a delegated administrator with limited permissions to remove highly privileged roles from other users or groups, potentially disrupting administrative access control. | ||||
| CVE-2026-15416 | 1 Redhat | 2 Openshift Data Foundation, Openshift Gitops | 2026-08-11 | 8.9 High |
| A flaw was identified in Argo CD, the GitOps engine used by Red Hat OpenShift GitOps, that could allow an unauthenticated attacker with network access to the Argo CD repo-server to achieve remote code execution. Under certain conditions, the attacker may then manipulate cached data to deploy malicious Kubernetes resources to managed clusters, potentially resulting in complete cluster compromise. | ||||
| CVE-2026-6879 | 2 Python, Redhat | 2 Cpython, Hummingbird | 2026-08-11 | 2.2 Low |
| `Element.findall()` and fully-consumed `Element.iterfind()` exhibit `O(n^2)` time complexity when using XPath index predicates (e.g. `[1]`, `[last()]`, `[last()-N]`) on XML documents with many same-tag siblings. `Element.find()` is only affected when the first match is near the end of the sibling list, such as with `[last()]` or `[last()-N]`; `.//item[1]` short-circuits after the first match. | ||||
| CVE-2026-19278 | 1 Redhat | 1 Advanced Cluster Security | 2026-08-10 | 6.8 Medium |
| A flaw was found in StackRox/RHACS Central's Auth Machine-to-Machine (M2M) token exchange. When an administrator configures M2M role mappings, the system uses unanchored regular expressions for matching claim values. This allows an attacker with a valid OpenID Connect (OIDC) token, whose claim value is a superstring of a configured pattern, to gain unauthorized access to roles they were not intended to receive. This can lead to privilege escalation within the system. | ||||
| CVE-2023-2008 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus | 2026-08-10 | 8.2 High |
| A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's udmabuf device driver, within a fault handler. This issue occurs due to the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in memory access past the end of an array. This may allow an attacker to escalate privileges and execute arbitrary code in the context of the kernel. | ||||
