| CVE-2026-16445 | 1 Redhat | 5 Enterprise Linux, Hummingbird, Openshift and 2 more | 2026-08-31 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw was found in dracut. A remote attacker on the adjacent network can exploit this vulnerability by providing specially crafted DHCP options, such as a malicious root-path, next-server, or bootfile name, to a system using dracut's NetworkManager-based initrd network module. These options are improperly handled and written into a temporary shell script without proper escaping, leading to command injection. This allows the attacker to achieve root code execution within the initramfs during system boot. | ||||
| CVE-2026-15816 | 1 Redhat | 9 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Hardened Images and 6 more | 2026-08-31 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw was found in dracut. The die() error-handling function writes its message into a shell script under the initramfs emergency-hook directory without properly shell-quoting it. When the message contains data derived from the DHCP ROOT_PATH option, an attacker on the adjacent network who controls a rogue DHCP server can inject a command-substitution sequence that executes as root the next time dracut sources its emergency hook scripts during standard boot-failure handling. | ||||
| CVE-2026-6893 | 1 Redhat | 10 Dracut, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 7 more | 2026-08-31 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw was found in dracut. A remote attacker on the adjacent network can exploit this vulnerability by providing specially crafted DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) options, such as a malicious hostname, to a system using dracut's legacy DHCP path. These options are improperly handled and written into temporary shell scripts without proper escaping, leading to command injection. This allows the attacker to achieve root code execution within the initramfs, potentially compromising the system's boot and network behavior. | ||||
| CVE-2026-16313 | 1 Redhat | 8 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Openshift Container Platform and 5 more | 2026-08-31 | 7.6 High |
| A flaw was found in sg3_utils. The sg_inq command, when invoked with the --export option, outputs device identification data without sanitizing control characters in SCSI name string fields. A newline character embedded in a device-supplied name string can inject arbitrary properties into the udev device database. This could allow an attacker who can present a crafted SCSI device to execute arbitrary commands as root when the device is disconnected. | ||||
| CVE-2026-42013 | 2 Gnu, Redhat | 15 Gnutls, Discovery, Enterprise Linux and 12 more | 2026-08-31 | 8.2 High |
| A flaw was found in gnutls. When validating certificates, an oversized Subject Alternative Name (SAN) could cause the validation process to incorrectly fall back to checking the Common Name (CN) field. This could allow a remote attacker to bypass proper certificate validation, potentially leading to spoofing or man-in-the-middle attacks. | ||||
| CVE-2026-42011 | 1 Redhat | 14 Discovery, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus and 11 more | 2026-08-31 | 7.4 High |
| A flaw was found in gnutls. This vulnerability occurs because permitted name constraints were incorrectly ignored when previous Certificate Authorities (CAs) only had excluded name constraints. A remote attacker could exploit this to bypass critical name constraint checks during certificate validation. This bypass could lead to the acceptance of invalid certificates, potentially enabling spoofing or man-in-the-middle attacks against affected systems. | ||||
| CVE-2026-5260 | 2 Gnu, Redhat | 14 Gnutls, Discovery, Enterprise Linux and 11 more | 2026-08-31 | 8.2 High |
| A flaw was found in libgnutls. A remote attacker, by sending an extremely short premaster secret during an RSA key exchange to a server using an RSA key backed by a PKCS#11 token, could trigger a short heap overread. This memory corruption vulnerability could lead to information disclosure. | ||||
| CVE-2026-48864 | 2 Opensuse, Redhat | 21 Libsolv, Discovery, Enterprise Linux and 18 more | 2026-08-31 | 7.8 High |
| A flaw was found in libsolv. This heap buffer overflow occurs during the decompression of attacker-controlled compressed data within `.solv` files due to insufficient input validation. An attacker can provide a specially crafted `.solv` file, which, when processed by a vulnerable application, can lead to out-of-bounds memory access. This could result in information disclosure, alteration of program execution, or a denial of service. | ||||
| CVE-2026-14476 | 2 Redhat, Sssd | 11 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Openshift and 8 more | 2026-08-31 | 8 High |
| A path traversal flaw was found in SSSD's AD GPO provider. The ad_gpo_extract_smb_components() function does not sanitize .. sequences in the gPCFileSysPath LDAP attribute, allowing an attacker with AD GPO management access to write files outside the GPO cache directory as root. On default RHEL configurations with SELinux enforcing, this can be used to inject Kerberos configuration leading to authentication bypass. | ||||
| CVE-2026-2340 | 2 Redhat, Samba | 10 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Openshift and 7 more | 2026-08-31 | 6.5 Medium |
| A flaw was found in Samba’s vfs_worm module. The module is intended to provide write-once, read-many (WORM) protections by preventing modification of files after a configurable grace period. Due to insufficient validation during rename operations, an authenticated user with write access to a share could overwrite a protected file by renaming a newly created file over the existing WORM-protected file. | ||||
| CVE-2025-5222 | 2 Redhat, Unicode | 5 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Rhel E4s and 2 more | 2026-08-31 | 7 High |
| A stack buffer overflow was found in Internationl components for unicode (ICU ). While running the genrb binary, the 'subtag' struct overflowed at the SRBRoot::addTag function. This issue may lead to memory corruption and local arbitrary code execution. | ||||
| CVE-2026-42010 | 2 Gnu, Redhat | 15 Gnutls, Ai Inference Server, Discovery and 12 more | 2026-08-31 | 7.1 High |
| A flaw was found in gnutls. Servers configured with RSA-PSK (Rivest–Shamir–Adleman – Pre-Shared Key) wrongfully matched usernames containing a NUL character with truncated usernames. A remote attacker could exploit this by sending a specially crafted username, leading to an authentication bypass. This vulnerability allows an attacker to gain unauthorized access by circumventing the authentication process. | ||||
| CVE-2026-42009 | 2 Gnu, Redhat | 26 Gnutls, Ai Inference Server, Discovery and 23 more | 2026-08-31 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw was found in gnutls. A remote attacker could exploit an issue in the Datagram Transport Layer Security (DTLS) packet reordering logic. The comparator function, responsible for ordering DTLS packets by sequence numbers, did not correctly handle packets with duplicate sequence numbers. This could lead to unstable packet ordering or undefined behavior, resulting in a denial of service. | ||||
| CVE-2026-33846 | 2 Gnu, Redhat | 16 Gnutls, Ai Inference Server, Discovery and 13 more | 2026-08-31 | 7.5 High |
| A heap buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the DTLS handshake fragment reassembly logic of GnuTLS. The issue arises in merge_handshake_packet() where incoming handshake fragments are matched and merged based solely on handshake type, without validating that the message_length field remains consistent across all fragments of the same logical message. An attacker can exploit this by sending crafted DTLS fragments with conflicting message_length values, causing the implementation to allocate a buffer based on a smaller initial fragment and subsequently write beyond its bounds using larger, inconsistent fragments. Because the merge operation does not enforce proper bounds checking against the allocated buffer size, this results in an out-of-bounds write on the heap. The vulnerability is remotely exploitable without authentication via the DTLS handshake path and can lead to application crashes or potential memory corruption. | ||||
| CVE-2026-33845 | 2 Gnu, Redhat | 16 Gnutls, Ai Inference Server, Discovery and 13 more | 2026-08-31 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw in GnuTLS DTLS handshake parsing allows malformed fragments with zero length and non-zero offset, leading to an integer underflow during reassembly and resulting in an out-of-bounds read. This issue is remotely exploitable and may cause information disclosure or denial of service. | ||||
| CVE-2026-14474 | 1 Redhat | 9 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Openshift and 6 more | 2026-08-31 | 8.8 High |
| A flaw was found in SSSD's LDAP sudo provider. When the ldap_sudo_search_base option is not explicitly configured, SSSD searches the entire LDAP directory tree for sudoRole objects. An authenticated attacker with write access to any subtree can inject a sudoRole object granting root-level sudo privileges on all SSSD-enrolled hosts. | ||||
| CVE-2026-4408 | 2 Redhat, Samba | 11 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Openshift and 8 more | 2026-08-31 | 9 Critical |
| A flaw was found in Samba. A remote attacker can exploit a misconfiguration in Samba file servers and classic domain controllers that use the "check password script" feature. If this script is configured with the %u substitution character, the client-controlled username is passed without proper escaping of shell meta-characters. This vulnerability allows an attacker to achieve remote command execution on the affected system. This issue primarily affects non-standard configurations where the "check password script" is used with %u and the samba-dcerpcd service is started as a system service. | ||||
| CVE-2026-3012 | 2 Redhat, Samba | 10 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Openshift and 7 more | 2026-08-31 | 8 High |
| A flaw was found in Samba’s certificate auto-enrollment Group Policy handling. When certificate auto-enrollment is enabled, Samba may retrieve a CA certificate over an unencrypted HTTP connection and install it into the local trust store without proper verification. An attacker with the ability to intercept or redirect network traffic could exploit this behavior to supply a malicious certificate authority certificate, potentially allowing interception or spoofing of trusted communications. | ||||
| CVE-2026-1933 | 2 Redhat, Samba | 10 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Openshift and 7 more | 2026-08-31 | 7.1 High |
| A flaw was found in Samba’s handling of NTFS-style reparse points on shares configured with read only = yes. Due to missing SMB-layer access checks, authenticated users with underlying filesystem write permissions may create or delete reparse point metadata through SMB operations even on read-only exports. This could allow modification of SMB-visible file behavior, including converting files into symbolic links or other reparse point types. | ||||
| CVE-2026-78002 | 1 Redhat | 1 Enterprise Linux | 2026-08-29 | 7.5 High |
| A flaw was found in rsyslog. An unauthenticated remote attacker can trigger a heap buffer overflow in the RainerScript `replace()` function by sending specially crafted syslog messages. This vulnerability arises from an incorrect buffer size calculation during string replacement, causing memory corruption. Successful exploitation can lead to a denial of service (DoS) for the affected system. | ||||
