| CVE-2022-24795 | 2 Redhat, Yajl-ruby Project | 3 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus, Yajl-ruby | 2025-04-22 | 5.9 Medium |
| yajl-ruby is a C binding to the YAJL JSON parsing and generation library. The 1.x branch and the 2.x branch of `yajl` contain an integer overflow which leads to subsequent heap memory corruption when dealing with large (~2GB) inputs. The reallocation logic at `yajl_buf.c#L64` may result in the `need` 32bit integer wrapping to 0 when `need` approaches a value of 0x80000000 (i.e. ~2GB of data), which results in a reallocation of buf->alloc into a small heap chunk. These integers are declared as `size_t` in the 2.x branch of `yajl`, which practically prevents the issue from triggering on 64bit platforms, however this does not preclude this issue triggering on 32bit builds on which `size_t` is a 32bit integer. Subsequent population of this under-allocated heap chunk is based on the original buffer size, leading to heap memory corruption. This vulnerability mostly impacts process availability. Maintainers believe exploitation for arbitrary code execution is unlikely. A patch is available and anticipated to be part of yajl-ruby version 1.4.2. As a workaround, avoid passing large inputs to YAJL. | ||||
| CVE-2021-22570 | 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Google and 3 more | 11 Debian Linux, Fedora, Protobuf and 8 more | 2025-04-21 | 6.5 Medium |
| Nullptr dereference when a null char is present in a proto symbol. The symbol is parsed incorrectly, leading to an unchecked call into the proto file's name during generation of the resulting error message. Since the symbol is incorrectly parsed, the file is nullptr. We recommend upgrading to version 3.15.0 or greater. | ||||
| CVE-2022-29581 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 2 more | 22 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 19 more | 2025-04-21 | 7.8 High |

| CVE-2022-2503 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 4 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus and 1 more | 2025-04-21 | 6.9 Medium |
| Dm-verity is used for extending root-of-trust to root filesystems. LoadPin builds on this property to restrict module/firmware loads to just the trusted root filesystem. Device-mapper table reloads currently allow users with root privileges to switch out the target with an equivalent dm-linear target and bypass verification till reboot. This allows root to bypass LoadPin and can be used to load untrusted and unverified kernel modules and firmware, which implies arbitrary kernel execution and persistence for peripherals that do not verify firmware updates. We recommend upgrading past commit 4caae58406f8ceb741603eee460d79bacca9b1b5 | ||||

| CVE-2017-1000366 | 8 Debian, Gnu, Mcafee and 5 more | 26 Debian Linux, Glibc, Web Gateway and 23 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| glibc contains a vulnerability that allows specially crafted LD_LIBRARY_PATH values to manipulate the heap/stack, causing them to alias, potentially resulting in arbitrary code execution. Please note that additional hardening changes have been made to glibc to prevent manipulation of stack and heap memory but these issues are not directly exploitable, as such they have not been given a CVE. This affects glibc 2.25 and earlier. | ||||
| CVE-2017-1000407 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 1 more | 13 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 10 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| The Linux Kernel 2.6.32 and later are affected by a denial of service, by flooding the diagnostic port 0x80 an exception can be triggered leading to a kernel panic. | ||||
| CVE-2017-1000410 | 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat | 13 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 10 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| The Linux kernel version 3.3-rc1 and later is affected by a vulnerability lies in the processing of incoming L2CAP commands - ConfigRequest, and ConfigResponse messages. This info leak is a result of uninitialized stack variables that may be returned to an attacker in their uninitialized state. By manipulating the code flows that precede the handling of these configuration messages, an attacker can also gain some control over which data will be held in the uninitialized stack variables. This can allow him to bypass KASLR, and stack canaries protection - as both pointers and stack canaries may be leaked in this manner. Combining this vulnerability (for example) with the previously disclosed RCE vulnerability in L2CAP configuration parsing (CVE-2017-1000251) may allow an attacker to exploit the RCE against kernels which were built with the above mitigations. These are the specifics of this vulnerability: In the function l2cap_parse_conf_rsp and in the function l2cap_parse_conf_req the following variable is declared without initialization: struct l2cap_conf_efs efs; In addition, when parsing input configuration parameters in both of these functions, the switch case for handling EFS elements may skip the memcpy call that will write to the efs variable: ... case L2CAP_CONF_EFS: if (olen == sizeof(efs)) memcpy(&efs, (void *)val, olen); ... The olen in the above if is attacker controlled, and regardless of that if, in both of these functions the efs variable would eventually be added to the outgoing configuration request that is being built: l2cap_add_conf_opt(&ptr, L2CAP_CONF_EFS, sizeof(efs), (unsigned long) &efs); So by sending a configuration request, or response, that contains an L2CAP_CONF_EFS element, but with an element length that is not sizeof(efs) - the memcpy to the uninitialized efs variable can be avoided, and the uninitialized variable would be returned to the attacker (16 bytes). | ||||
| CVE-2017-12154 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 4 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus and 1 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| The prepare_vmcs02 function in arch/x86/kvm/vmx.c in the Linux kernel through 4.13.3 does not ensure that the "CR8-load exiting" and "CR8-store exiting" L0 vmcs02 controls exist in cases where L1 omits the "use TPR shadow" vmcs12 control, which allows KVM L2 guest OS users to obtain read and write access to the hardware CR8 register. | ||||
| CVE-2017-12190 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 5 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Mrg and 2 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| The bio_map_user_iov and bio_unmap_user functions in block/bio.c in the Linux kernel before 4.13.8 do unbalanced refcounting when a SCSI I/O vector has small consecutive buffers belonging to the same page. The bio_add_pc_page function merges them into one, but the page reference is never dropped. This causes a memory leak and possible system lockup (exploitable against the host OS by a guest OS user, if a SCSI disk is passed through to a virtual machine) due to an out-of-memory condition. | ||||
| CVE-2017-13166 | 2 Google, Redhat | 5 Android, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Mrg and 2 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
