| OpenEXR is the reference implementation and specification for the EXR high-dynamic-range image file format, widely used in the motion picture industry. Versions 3.4.0 through 3.4.12 contain a NULL pointer dereference in the OpenEXRCore function exr_attr_set_bytes(). The public setter validates the top-level exr_attr_bytes_t value pointer but does not verify that the nested type_hint pointer is non-NULL when hint_length is greater than zero. When a caller supplies a positive hint_length together with a NULL type_hint, exr_attr_bytes_create() allocates a destination type-hint buffer and then copies from the NULL source pointer, causing a deterministic crash. The flaw is reachable through the public OpenEXRCore C API and results in a denial of service. The issue is fixed in version 3.4.13. |
| rclone before v1.75.0 contains a denial of service vulnerability in the WebDAV TUS creation handler that dereferences a nil response before checking for transport errors. A malicious or compromised configured endpoint can reset connections during TUS uploads to trigger a panic that terminates unrecovered goroutines and halts unrelated work in long-lived processes. |
| Libevent is an event notification library. Prior to 2.2.2-alpha, libevent can dereference invalid list pointers in ws.c when evws_new_session enters its error path after evhttp_start_ws_ succeeds but bufferevent_enable_locking_ fails. evws_connection_free sees a non-null http_server and unconditionally calls TAILQ_REMOVE even though the session was never inserted into http_server->ws_sessions. A local caller able to induce this allocation or locking failure can crash the process. This issue is fixed in version 2.2.2-alpha. |
| kin-openapi is a Go project for handling OpenAPI files. From 0.10.0 until 0.141.0, openapi3filter.convertParseError in openapi3filter/validation_error_encoder.go dereferences e.Parameter.In without checking whether e.Parameter is nil. A malformed non-string scalar field in a multipart/form-data request body produces a nested ParseError with a nil RequestError.Parameter, and applications that render the validation error through openapi3filter.ConvertErrors or ValidationErrorEncoder panic. An unauthenticated client can repeatedly send such requests to deny service when the application lacks a recovery boundary. JSON request bodies and applications that do not use these error-rendering helpers are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 0.141.0. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
vhost-scsi: reject feature changes after endpoint
vhost_scsi_setup_vq_cmds() runs from VHOST_SCSI_SET_ENDPOINT and allocates
each command's protection scatterlist array (prot_sgl) according to the
acknowledged VIRTIO_SCSI_F_T10_PI bit. The command pools are not rebuilt
when VHOST_SET_FEATURES changes that bit later.
Although virtio feature bits must not change after feature negotiation,
vhost_scsi_set_features() currently accepts such a request after the
endpoint is active and updates acked_features. Enabling T10-PI after
endpoint setup therefore leaves prot_sgl NULL while the I/O path follows
the new feature bit.
For a 129-page protection payload, vhost_scsi_mapal() passes the missing
first chunk to sg_alloc_table_chained():
sg_alloc_table_chained(table, 129, first_chunk=NULL,
nents_first_chunk=inline_sg_cnt)
sg_pool_index() then hits:
BUG_ON(nents > SG_CHUNK_SIZE); /* 129 > 128 */
The kernel reported the following call trace and register state:

VHOST_F_LOG_ALL is a vhost-specific runtime feature and remains the only
exception.
Reject changes to any feature other than VHOST_F_LOG_ALL while the
endpoint is active. This preserves the existing runtime log toggle while
preventing feature-dependent command resources and data-path state from
becoming inconsistent. Userspace must clear the endpoint before changing
any other negotiated feature and set the endpoint up again afterward. |
| A vulnerability has been found in BusyBox up to 1.30.1. This vulnerability affects unknown code of the file networking/wget.c of the component FEATURE_WGET_TIMEOUT Handler. Such manipulation of the argument -T leads to null pointer dereference. Local access is required to approach this attack. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The name of the patch is 83a40bf7a93c8ac093d33ab452222dd5b9eb57ff. A patch should be applied to remediate this issue. |
| The Ingenic T41, and probably also T32, T40, and A1 SoC boot ROMs parse and execute an attacker-controlled init table from the SPL header before checking the secure boot state and before invoking signature verification. The init table parser supports full-address 32-bit write operations, allowing modification of SRAM-resident secure boot state prior to the verification decision. An attacker with physical write access to boot media can inject an init-table entry that disables the secure boot check, causing the ROM to accept unsigned or modified first-stage boot code. This has been hardware-validated on a secureboot-enabled T41 device; ROM analysis confirms closely related behavior on T32, T40, and A1. |
| The Hearing Access Service (HAS) GATT server in subsys/bluetooth/audio/has.c installs a connection-callback set unconditionally via BT_CONN_CB_DEFINE, so security_changed() runs for every connection that establishes security even before the application has called bt_has_register(). The service attribute pointers hearing_aid_features_attr, preset_control_point_attr, and active_preset_index_attr remain NULL until bt_has_register() resolves them and sets has.registered.
With CONFIG_BT_SETTINGS, settings_set_cb() restores each bonded client's persisted context at boot and unconditionally sets context->flags to BONDED_CLIENT_INIT_FLAGS (non-zero). When a previously bonded peer reconnects and re-establishes security during the startup window before bt_has_register() has been called, security_changed() sees the non-zero flags and schedules notify_work_handler, which calls bt_gatt_is_subscribed() with a still-NULL attribute pointer. That triggers an assertion (__ASSERT(attr, ...) in bt_gatt_is_subscribed()), or a NULL dereference of attr->uuid when assertions are compiled out.
The result is a remotely triggerable (Bluetooth, adjacent) crash of the HAS peripheral. Exploitation requires the peer to have previously bonded with the device and to reconnect within the boot-time race window before the application registers the service; a peer that reconnects persistently can prolong the outage. Impact is denial of service only, with no memory corruption or information disclosure.
The fix adds an early if (!has.registered) { return; } guard in security_changed(), so no notification work is scheduled until the GATT service is registered and its attribute pointers are valid. |
| Multiple DrayTek VigorSwitch models contain a pre-authentication null pointer dereference vulnerability in the setget.cgi interface. The vulnerability is caused by missing validation when the pass field is absent. A remote attacker can trigger this vulnerability via a crafted request to crash the service and cause a denial of service. |
| Multiple DrayTek VigorSwitch models contain a null pointer dereference vulnerability in the formlogout function. The vulnerability is caused by missing checks for an empty or absent Cookie header before string handling. A remote attacker can trigger this vulnerability via a crafted request to crash the service and cause a denial of service. Exploitation requires valid administrative credentials for the device's web management interface. |
| A vulnerability was determined in ggml-org llama.cpp bec4772f6. This affects the function rpc_server::graph_compute of the file ggml/src/ggml-rpc/ggml-rpc.cpp of the component ggml-RPC Server. Executing a manipulation can lead to null pointer dereference. The attack may be launched remotely. The pull request to fix this issue awaits acceptance. |

| Hydra is a framework for elegantly configuring complex applications. Prior to 1.3.4, hydra.utils.instantiate() resolves and calls Python objects selected by configuration through _resolve_target() in hydra/_internal/instantiate/_instantiate2.py, allowing attacker-controlled target values and arguments to choose dangerous callables. A consuming application, library, CLI workflow, or model loader that passes untrusted configuration, CLI overrides, or model metadata into hydra.utils.instantiate() can therefore execute arbitrary code in its own process, including reading or modifying files and credentials or terminating the process. Version 1.3.4 adds target blocking with an explicit HYDRA_INSTANTIATE_ALLOWLIST_OVERRIDE escape hatch. This issue is fixed in version 1.3.4. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
selinux: avoid sk_socket dereference in selinux_sctp_bind_connect()
selinux_sctp_bind_connect() dereferences sk->sk_socket to pass a
struct socket * to selinux_socket_bind() and
selinux_socket_connect_helper(). However, when the hook is invoked
from the ASCONF softirq path (sctp_process_asconf), there is no file
reference guaranteeing that sk->sk_socket is non-NULL. The setsockopt
callers (bindx, connectx, set_primary, sendmsg connect) hold a file
reference and are not affected.
Both selinux_socket_bind() and selinux_socket_connect_helper()
immediately resolve sock->sk, never using the struct socket * for
anything else. Refactor the inner logic into helpers that take a
struct sock * directly so that selinux_sctp_bind_connect() never needs
to touch sk->sk_socket at all. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
serial: 8250_mid: Fix NULL function pointer dereference on DNV/ICX-D/SNR platforms
Commit b1b4efea05a5 ("serial: 8250_mid: Disable DMA for selected
platforms") replaced the dnv_board setup and exit callbacks with
PTR_IF(false, ...), which evaluates to NULL. However, the three call
sites in mid8250_probe() and mid8250_remove() unconditionally
dereference these function pointers without NULL checks, causing a NULL
pointer dereference (kernel oops) on any Denverton (DNV), Ice Lake Xeon
D (ICX-D/CDF), or Snowridge (SNR) platform.
Fix this by adding the missing NULL checks before calling the setup and
exit callbacks. |
