CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
btrfs: fix incorrect return value after changing leaf in lookup_extent_data_ref()
After commit 1618aa3c2e01 ("btrfs: simplify return variables in
lookup_extent_data_ref()"), the err and ret variables were merged into
a single ret variable. However, when btrfs_next_leaf() returns 0
(success), ret is overwritten from -ENOENT to 0. If the first key in
the next leaf does not match (different objectid or type), the function
returns 0 instead of -ENOENT, making the caller believe the lookup
succeeded when it did not. This can lead to operations on the wrong
extent tree item, potentially causing extent tree corruption.
Fix this by returning -ENOENT directly when the key does not match,
instead of relying on the ret variable. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
dpaa2-switch: Fix interrupt storm after receiving bad if_id in IRQ handler
Commit 31a7a0bbeb00 ("dpaa2-switch: add bounds check for if_id in IRQ
handler") introduces a range check for if_id to avoid an out-of-bounds
access. If an out-of-bounds if_id is detected, the interrupt status is
not cleared. This may result in an interrupt storm.
Clear the interrupt status after detecting an out-of-bounds if_id to avoid
the problem.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/vmwgfx: Return the correct value in vmw_translate_ptr functions
Before the referenced fixes these functions used a lookup function that
returned a pointer. This was changed to another lookup function that
returned an error code with the pointer becoming an out parameter.
The error path when the lookup failed was not changed to reflect this
change and the code continued to return the PTR_ERR of the now
uninitialized pointer. This could cause the vmw_translate_ptr functions
to return success when they actually failed causing further uninitialized
and OOB accesses. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
udp_tunnel: fix NULL deref caused by udp_sock_create6 when CONFIG_IPV6=n
When CONFIG_IPV6 is disabled, the udp_sock_create6() function returns 0
(success) without actually creating a socket. Callers such as
fou_create() then proceed to dereference the uninitialized socket
pointer, resulting in a NULL pointer dereference.
The captured NULL deref crash:

This patch makes udp_sock_create6 return -EPFNOSUPPORT instead, so
callers correctly take their error paths. There is only one caller of
the vulnerable function and only privileged users can trigger it. |
| Cisco Systems VPN Client IPSec Driver (CVPNDRVA.sys) 5.0.02.0090 allows local users to cause a denial of service (crash) by calling the 0x80002038 IOCTL with a small size value, which triggers memory corruption. |
| dhost.exe in Novell eDirectory 8.7.3 before sp10 and 8.8.2 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption) via an HTTP request with (1) multiple Connection headers or (2) a Connection header with multiple comma-separated values. NOTE: this might be similar to CVE-2008-1777. |
| Double-Take 5.0.0.2865 and earlier, distributed under the HP StorageWorks Storage Mirroring name and other names, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (daemon termination) via (1) a large vector<T> value, which raises a "vector<T> too long" exception; or (2) a certain packet that raises an ospace/time/src\date.cpp exception. |
| Unspecified vulnerability in BEA WebLogic Server 6.1 Gold through SP7 and 7.0 Gold through SP7 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (disk consumption) via certain malformed HTTP headers. |
| Unspecified vulnerability in the chunk_split function in PHP before 5.2.4 has unknown impact and attack vectors, related to an incorrect size calculation. |
| Integer overflow in Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 2003 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a PowerPoint file with a malformed picture index that triggers memory corruption, related to handling of CString objects, aka "Memory Allocation Vulnerability." |
| Double-Take 5.0.0.2865 and earlier, distributed under the HP StorageWorks Storage Mirroring name and other names, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference and daemon crash) via a malformed packet, as demonstrated by a packet of type (1) 0x2722 or (2) 0x272a. |
