CVSS v3.1 |
| RustDesk versions 1.3.9 through 1.4.9 contain a path traversal vulnerability in the macOS clipboard file-paste code path. The application accepts peer-supplied file descriptor names and joins them to the selected target directory without requiring normalized relative paths. A remote peer in an active clipboard file-paste session can use parent-directory components or absolute paths to write files outside the intended target directory at locations writable by the RustDesk process. Commit 6f1eb16 fixes the issue by validating descriptor names and safely joining paths. |
| A Zip Slip vulnerability in the WebUI ISP
Upgrade functionality allows arbitrary file write via a crafted archive
containing directory traversal sequences. An authenticated administrator may
overwrite arbitrary files on the system.Successful
exploitation may allow arbitrary file to be overwritten on the underlying system, affecting system integrity and availability. |
| The Kaltura HTML5 player (mwEmbed / html5lib) contains an unauthenticated remote code execution vulnerability caused by unsafe data deserialization and unsanitized filesystem path construction. mwEmbedLoader.php accepts a user‑controlled ServiceUrl, whose response is passed to unserialize(), and the resulting object’s fields are written to a cache path derived from attacker‑supplied uiconf_id without proper path validation. An attacker can write arbitrary files into web‑accessible locations and achieve code execution as the webserver user. Affected versions include html5lib v2.45, v2.103 and earlier, and other v2.x releases exposing the vulnerable endpoint. |
| A path traversal vulnerability in Tenable Agent 11.2.0 and 11.1.3 and lower allows a privileged attacker to write arbitrary files outside the intended plugin directory, potentially leading to remote code execution. |
| A path traversal vulnerability existed in the handling of MISP object template names during STIX 2 import and MISP-to-STIX 2 export.
MISP object names are passed to PyMISP's object-template resolution mechanism, which constructs a filesystem path by joining the configured MISP object-template directory, the object name, and definition.json. An object name originating from untrusted STIX or MISP content was not sufficiently restricted before being used in this filesystem path.
An attacker able to supply a crafted object name containing path separators or traversal sequences such as ../ could therefore cause template resolution to escape the expected template directory and attempt to load a definition.json file from another location accessible to the process.
During STIX 2 import, an attacker-controlled x_misp_name from a custom STIX object could directly reach this template-resolution mechanism.
The issue could also become persistent. A malicious object name stored in a MISP event could later be processed again during STIX 2 export. Consequently, content originally introduced in one security context could trigger filesystem access later when the event is exported by a process operating with different or greater privileges.
If a suitable definition.json file exists outside the intended template directory, its contents may be interpreted as a MISP object template and fields from that file copied into the converted object. This can result in unintended disclosure of locally accessible data represented by the template file and modification of the resulting object's metadata or semantics.
The patches introduce strict validation of object-template names. Valid names are restricted to a single path component containing letters, digits, hyphens, or underscores. Names that do not meet these requirements are replaced with the generic unknown-template name before reaching PyMISP template resolution. The original rejected name is preserved in the object's comment and a warning is generated, preventing traversal while retaining the source information. |
| PraisonAI is a multi-agent teams system. Prior to praisonaiagents 1.6.58, the FileMemory constructor joins unsanitized user_id into self.user_path. A caller supplying ../ or path separators can escape the memory directory and write JSON data to arbitrary process-writable locations. The fix sanitizes user_id before constructing self.user_path. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.58. |
| rclone serve s3 before 1.74.4 contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows attackers to read and overwrite root-level files by using dot-dot segments in S3 object keys. Attackers can send requests with object keys like ../root-secret.txt to escape the bucket namespace and access files in the serve root directory. |
| NLTK versions before 3.10.3 contain a path sandbox bypass vulnerability in corpus-reader constructors that allows attackers to read files outside the intended data root. Attackers can supply arbitrary corpus root paths to LinThesaurusCorpusReader and PanLexLiteCorpusReader constructors to access filesystem content and SQLite databases outside the pathsec sandbox boundary. |
| Grav CMS before 2.0.16 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the media_directory() Twig function that fails to validate filesystem paths, allowing authenticated users to enumerate and access files outside intended scope. Attackers with page authoring privileges can supply arbitrary filesystem paths to media_directory() and use the allow-listed filepath accessor on Medium objects to read file contents of any file matching configured media extensions that the web server process can access. |
| Grav before 2.0.16 contains a path traversal vulnerability in MediaUploadTrait::deleteFile() that allows authenticated users with media management permissions to delete arbitrary files by supplying filenames with directory traversal sequences. The method validates only the basename portion of the filename while preserving unvalidated directory paths containing ../ sequences that are passed to unlink(), enabling deletion of files outside the intended media storage directory. |
| NLTK versions before 3.10.3 contain a path traversal vulnerability in corpus readers that reopen root-derived paths using built-in open() instead of nltk.pathsec.open(), allowing symlinks to escape trusted roots. Attackers who stage symlinked corpus files under a trusted data root can disclose outside-root content through normal corpus reader methods like channels(), domains(), and synonyms(). |
| Atlantis is a self-hosted golang application that listens for Terraform pull request events via webhooks. From 0.19.8 until 0.45.0, Atlantis does not consistently validate user-controlled workspace values supplied through accepted repository-level atlantis.yaml configuration or authenticated /api/plan input before joining them into local workspace paths. Traversal segments can escape the intended per-pull workspace directory and cause clone preparation or other working-directory code paths to call os.RemoveAll, os.MkdirAll, or related filesystem operations on out-of-bounds directories before Terraform rejects the invalid workspace name. This can create, delete, or reuse writable paths with the privileges of the Atlantis process, causing integrity loss or denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 0.45.0. |
| Buildah is a tool that facilitates building OCI images. From 1.38.1 until 1.43.2 and 1.44.0, TempDirForURL in define/types.go does not securely confine Git repository subdirectories to the downloaded build context, and downloadToDirectory and stdinToDirectory can follow a Dockerfile symlink left by a partially extracted tar archive. A malicious server supplying a Git repository or tar archive can cause files outside the build context directory to be included in the context or copied into the build. This issue is fixed in versions 1.43.2 and 1.44.0. |
| A path traversal security issue exists within Studio 5000 Logix Designer® due to improper limitation of file paths within ACD project files. The software does not sanitize or validate file names embedded in the ACD file structure during the project opening procedure, allowing path traversal sequences to escape the intended extraction directory. If exploited, an attacker could craft a malicious ACD project file that results in arbitrary files being written to attacker-controlled locations on the file system, potentially leading to code execution. |
| If a web application sends a WebSocket message concurrently with the WebSocket connection closing when running on Apache Tomcat 8.5.0 to 8.5.75 or Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.20, it is possible that the application will continue to use the socket after it has been closed. The error handling triggered in this case could cause the a pooled object to be placed in the pool twice. This could result in subsequent connections using the same object concurrently which could result in data being returned to the wrong use and/or other errors. |
| In Apache Commons IO before 2.7, When invoking the method FileNameUtils.normalize with an improper input string, like "//../foo", or "\\..\foo", the result would be the same value, thus possibly providing access to files in the parent directory, but not further above (thus "limited" path traversal), if the calling code would use the result to construct a path value. |
| GitPython before 3.1.59 omits --separate-git-dir from unsafe_git_clone_options, allowing attackers to create arbitrary git directories outside the intended clone destination. Attackers can pass a separate_git_dir parameter to Repo.clone_from() or Repo.clone() to redirect repository metadata to an attacker-controlled filesystem path, enabling arbitrary directory creation and potential hook execution. |
| Adminer before 5.4.3 contains an arbitrary file deletion vulnerability in SQLite mode where the database-list drop action fails to validate file extensions before deletion. An authenticated attacker can submit arbitrary relative file paths in the db[] parameter to delete any files writable by the PHP process. |
| A weakness has been identified in dekdee adobe-xd-mcp 1.0.0. Impacted is an unknown function of the file src/parsers/xd-parser.ts of the component file-access-from-request Endpoint. Executing a manipulation of the argument outputFile/outputDir can lead to path traversal. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet. |
