CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
geneve: require CAP_NET_ADMIN in the device netns for changelink
A tunnel changelink() operates on at most two netns, dev_net(dev) and
the sticky underlay netns geneve->net. They differ once the device is
created in or moved to a netns other than the one the request runs in.
The rtnl changelink path checks CAP_NET_ADMIN only against dev_net(dev),
so a caller privileged there but not in geneve->net can rewrite a geneve
device whose underlay lives in geneve->net.
geneve_changelink() applies the new configuration against geneve->net:
geneve_link_config() and the geneve_quiesce()/geneve_unquiesce() pair
reopen the underlay sockets in that netns (geneve_sock_add() uses
geneve->net), so the same reasoning as the tunnel changelink series
applies here.
Gate geneve_changelink() with rtnl_dev_link_net_capable(), at the top of
the op before any attribute is parsed, matching ipgre_changelink() and
the rest of the "require CAP_NET_ADMIN in the device netns for
changelink" series.
Found by 0sec automated security-research tooling (https://0sec.ai). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
NFSv4: include MAY_WRITE in open permission mask for O_TRUNC
POSIX requires write permission to truncate a file, so an open() that
specifies O_TRUNC must be authorized for write access regardless of the
O_ACCMODE access mode.
nfs_open_permission_mask() builds the access mask passed to
nfs_may_open(), which is the local authorization gate for OPENs the
client serves itself from a cached write delegation via the
can_open_delegated() path in nfs4_try_open_cached(). The mask is
derived from O_ACCMODE alone, so an open(O_RDONLY | O_TRUNC) against a
file the caller cannot write requests only MAY_READ and passes the
local check. The OPEN is then satisfied locally and the truncation is
issued to the server as a SETATTR(size=0) over the delegation stateid,
which the server accepts under standard write-delegation semantics.
POSIX requires that this open fail with EACCES.
Include MAY_WRITE in the mask whenever O_TRUNC is set so the local
check matches the access the server would have enforced. |
| Site isolation issue in the DOM: Web Authentication component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 158 and Thunderbird 158. |
| Frappe CRM before 1.74.0 contains a missing authorization vulnerability that allows authenticated Sales Users to modify other users' call logs by supplying arbitrary call_sid values. Attackers can call the add_note_to_call_log and add_task_to_call_log endpoints to attach attacker-written notes and tasks that appear on victims' call logs, leads, and deals. |
| RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. Prior to versions 4.0.22, 4.1.11, 4.2.6, and 4.3.0, accept_content/2 at line 56 calls rabbit_stream_manager:create_super_stream/... directly after is_authorized (which only checks the management tag + vhost access via is_authorized_vhost). The stream-protocol equivalent (rabbit_stream_reader.erl create_super_stream handler) calls rabbit_stream_utils:check_super_stream_management_permitted/4 which enforces configure on the exchange and each partition queue. The HTTP handler omits this call entirely. A user with management tag and vhost access , but no configure permission on any resource , can create super-streams (an exchange + N partition stream queues + bindings) via the HTTP API. The native stream-protocol path enforces configure on each resource; the HTTP path does not, creating a privilege escalation from 'can view' to 'can create persistent cluster-wide resources.' Preconditions include rabbitmq_stream_management plugin enabled management tag + vhost access (no resource permissions needed). This issue is fixed in versions 4.0.22, 4.1.11, 4.2.6, and 4.3.0. |
| RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. Prior to versions 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, 4.2.6, and 4.3.1, is_authorized/2 for the /federation-links/.../restart route uses is_authorized_monitor (accepts the monitoring tag), while allowed_methods permits DELETE and delete_resource/2 triggers rabbit_federation_link_sup:restart. There is no per-method elevation check and no comment marking it intentional. A read-only monitoring user can restart any federation link , a state-changing operation that disrupts message flow. Preconditions include rabbitmq_federation + rabbitmq_federation_management plugins enabled Attacker has credentials with the monitoring tag. This issue is fixed in versions 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, 4.2.6, and 4.3.1. |
| RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. Prior to versions 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, 4.2.6, and 4.3.0, is_authorized/2 calls rabbit_mgmt_util:is_authorized/2, which checks only the management tag, instead of is_authorized_vhost/2. The /api/queues/quorum/:vhost/:queue/status handler reads the vhost from the path without checking that the user can access it. Any management-tagged user can therefore read Raft status, including leader, members, term, and commit index, for quorum queues in inaccessible vhosts, exposing cross-tenant queue names and cluster topology. The management plugin must be enabled and the attacker must have a management tag. This issue is fixed in versions 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, 4.2.6, and 4.3.0. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ntfs3: reject direct userspace writes to reserved $LX* xattrs
NTFS3 uses $LXUID, $LXGID, $LXMOD and $LXDEV as internal WSL
permission metadata and reloads them into i_uid, i_gid and i_mode
from ntfs_get_wsl_perm().
Because the empty-prefix xattr handler also lets file owners call
setxattr() on these names directly, an unprivileged writer on a
writable ntfs3 mount can plant root ownership and S_ISUID on their own
file and gain euid 0 after inode reload.
Reject direct userspace writes to the reserved $LX* names. Internal
ntfs3 metadata updates are unchanged because ntfs_save_wsl_perm()
writes them via ntfs_set_ea() directly.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: ip_gre: require CAP_NET_ADMIN in the device netns for changelink
A tunnel changelink() operates on at most two netns, dev_net(dev) and
the tunnel link netns t->net. They differ once the device is created in
or moved to a netns other than the one the request runs in. The rtnl
changelink path checks CAP_NET_ADMIN only against dev_net(dev), so a
caller privileged there but not in t->net can rewrite a tunnel that
lives in t->net.
Add rtnl_dev_link_net_capable() next to rtnl_get_net_ns_capable() in
net/core/rtnetlink.c. It requires CAP_NET_ADMIN in the link netns and is
skipped when the link netns is dev_net(dev), where the rtnl path already
checked it. The other patches in this series use the same helper.
Gate ipgre_changelink() and erspan_changelink() with it, at the top of
the op before any attribute is parsed, because the parsers update live
tunnel fields first. ipgre_netlink_parms() sets t->collect_md before
ip_tunnel_changelink() runs.
Commit 8b484efd5cb4 ("ip6: vti: Use ip6_tnl.net in
vti6_siocdevprivate().") added the same check on the ioctl path. This
adds it on RTM_NEWLINK. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ppp: require CAP_NET_ADMIN in target netns for unattached ioctls
/dev/ppp open is currently authorized against file->f_cred->user_ns,
while unattached administrative ioctls operate on current->nsproxy->net_ns.
As a result, a local unprivileged user can create a new user namespace
with CLONE_NEWUSER, gain CAP_NET_ADMIN only in that new user namespace,
and still issue PPPIOCNEWUNIT, PPPIOCATTACH, or PPPIOCATTCHAN against
an inherited network namespace.
Require CAP_NET_ADMIN in the user namespace that owns the target network
namespace before handling unattached PPP administrative ioctls.
This preserves normal pppd operation in the network namespace it is
actually privileged in, while rejecting the userns-only inherited-netns
case. |

x86/CPU/AMD: Prevent improper isolation of shared resources in Zen2's op cache
Make sure resources are not improperly shared in the op cache and
cause instruction corruption this way. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fanotify: fix false positive on permission events
fsnotify_get_mark_safe() may return false for a mark on an unrelated group,
which results in bypassing the permission check.
Fix by skipping over detached marks that are not in the current group. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
selinux: fix overlayfs mmap() and mprotect() access checks
The existing SELinux security model for overlayfs is to allow access if
the current task is able to access the top level file (the "user" file)
and the mounter's credentials are sufficient to access the lower
level file (the "backing" file). Unfortunately, the current code does
not properly enforce these access controls for both mmap() and mprotect()
operations on overlayfs filesystems.
This patch makes use of the newly created security_mmap_backing_file()
LSM hook to provide the missing backing file enforcement for mmap()
operations, and leverages the backing file API and new LSM blob to
provide the necessary information to properly enforce the mprotect()
access controls. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: SMP: force responder MITM requirements before building the pairing response
smp_cmd_pairing_req() currently builds the pairing response from the
initiator auth_req before enforcing the local BT_SECURITY_HIGH
requirement. If the initiator omits SMP_AUTH_MITM, the response can
also omit it even though the local side still requires MITM.
tk_request() then sees an auth value without SMP_AUTH_MITM and may
select JUST_CFM, making method selection inconsistent with the pairing
policy the responder already enforces.
When the local side requires HIGH security, first verify that MITM can
be achieved from the IO capabilities and then force SMP_AUTH_MITM in the
response in both rsp.auth_req and auth. This keeps the responder auth bits
and later method selection aligned. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
xen/privcmd: restrict usage in unprivileged domU
The Xen privcmd driver allows to issue arbitrary hypercalls from
user space processes. This is normally no problem, as access is
usually limited to root and the hypervisor will deny any hypercalls
affecting other domains.
In case the guest is booted using secure boot, however, the privcmd
driver would be enabling a root user process to modify e.g. kernel
memory contents, thus breaking the secure boot feature.
The only known case where an unprivileged domU is really needing to
use the privcmd driver is the case when it is acting as the device
model for another guest. In this case all hypercalls issued via the
privcmd driver will target that other guest.
Fortunately the privcmd driver can already be locked down to allow
only hypercalls targeting a specific domain, but this mode can be
activated from user land only today.
The target domain can be obtained from Xenstore, so when not running
in dom0 restrict the privcmd driver to that target domain from the
beginning, resolving the potential problem of breaking secure boot.
This is XSA-482

| Missing Authorization vulnerability in WPExperts Advanced File Manager file-manager-advanced allows Exploiting Incorrectly Configured Access Control Security Levels. This issue affects Advanced File Manager: from n/a through 5.4.14. |
| RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. Prior to versions 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, 4.2.6, and 4.3.1, The shovel management resource's is_authorized/2 delegates to rabbit_mgmt_util:is_authorized_monitor/2, which accepts the monitoring tag. But allowed_methods includes DELETE, and delete_resource/2 deletes / restarts shovel runtime parameters with no additional role check. A monitoring user , intended to have read-only visibility , can therefore delete or restart any shovel in any vhost they can see. A read-only monitoring user can delete or restart any dynamic shovel , a state-changing operation that the equivalent /api/parameters endpoint correctly restricts to policymaker. Preconditions include rabbitmq_shovel + rabbitmq_shovel_management plugins enabled Attacker has credentials with the monitoring tag. This issue is fixed in versions 3.13.15, 4.0.20, 4.1.11, 4.2.6, and 4.3.1. |
| Seven Gitea API routes under `/api/v1/users/{username}` (followers, following, following/{target}, starred, subscriptions, keys and gpg_keys) were registered without the `individualPermsChecker` middleware that enforces the visibility of the target user. An authenticated user could therefore read the followers, following list, starred and watched repositories and public SSH and GPG keys of a user with limited or private visibility, whom they could not otherwise see. The issue was fixed in 1.27.3 and 28.0.0 and disclosed with 28.2.0. |
| OneUptime 14.0.2 before 14.0.69 contains an incorrect authorization vulnerability that allows authenticated project members to act on clusters outside their scope by exploiting project-wide permission checks. Attackers can call the AI access test, agent reset, kubectl plan approval and incident AI conversation features to learn agent RBAC permissions, disconnect agents, approve kubectl changes, or run commands on unauthorized resources. |
