CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
rust_binder: use a u64 stride when cleaning up the offsets array
Allocation's Drop walks the offsets array (binder_size_t = u64 entries),
cleaning up the objects, but it used usize instead of u64 for both the
stride and the per-entry read.
On 64-bit kernels (usize == u64) this is harmless, but on 32-bit kernels
it walks the 8-byte entries in 4-byte steps, iterating an N-entry array
2N times, and reads the always-zero high word as offset 0, cleaning up
the object at offset 0 N extra times. As a result the referenced node or
handle ends up with a lower reference count than it actually has (a
refcount over-decrement), and binder's reference accounting is corrupted;
for example, the owner can be notified of a strong reference release
(BR_RELEASE) even though references still remain.
Change the stride to u64, and read each entry as a u64, narrowing it to
usize with try_into().
On 32-bit ARM, when this over-decrement would drive a count below zero,
the driver's existing refcount guard refuses it and fires:
rust_binder: Failure: refcount underflow! |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iio: accel: kxsd9: fix runtime PM imbalance on write_raw() error
kxsd9_write_raw() takes a runtime PM reference with pm_runtime_get_sync()
but returns -EINVAL directly when a scale with a non-zero integer part is
requested, skipping the matching pm_runtime_put_autosuspend(). This leaks
a runtime PM usage-counter reference on every such write, after which the
device can no longer autosuspend.
Set the error code and fall through to the existing put instead of
returning early. |
| When an affected product receives a valid CIP message from an unauthorized or unintended source to Port 2222/TCP, Port 2222/UDP, Port 44818/TCP, or Port 44818/UDP that instructs the CPU to stop logic execution and enter a fault state, a DoS can occur. This situation could cause loss of availability and a disruption of communication with other connected devices.

| In updateState of GraphicsDriverEnableAngleAsSystemDriverController.java, there is a possible persistent dos issue due to an unusual root cause. This could lead to local denial of service with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. |
| IBM WebSphere Application Server - Liberty 19.0.0.7 through 26.0.0.5 and IBM WebSphere Application Server 9.0, and 8.5 and WebSphere Application Server Liberty are vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by sending a specially-crafted request. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause the server to consume memory resources. |
| The kex_input_kexinit function in kex.c in OpenSSH 6.x and 7.x through 7.3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) by sending many duplicate KEXINIT requests. NOTE: a third party reports that "OpenSSH upstream does not consider this as a security issue." |
| Use-after-free vulnerability in the Peer Objects component (aka iepeers.dll) in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, 6 SP1, and 7 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via vectors involving access to an invalid pointer after the deletion of an object, as exploited in the wild in March 2010, aka "Uninitialized Memory Corruption Vulnerability." |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: target: tcm_loop: Drain commands in target_reset handler
tcm_loop_target_reset() violates the SCSI EH contract: it returns SUCCESS
without draining any in-flight commands. The SCSI EH documentation
(scsi_eh.rst) requires that when a reset handler returns SUCCESS the driver
has made lower layers "forget about timed out scmds" and is ready for new
commands. Every other SCSI LLD (virtio_scsi, mpt3sas, ipr, scsi_debug,
mpi3mr) enforces this by draining or completing outstanding commands before
returning SUCCESS.
Because tcm_loop_target_reset() doesn't drain, the SCSI EH reuses in-flight
scsi_cmnd structures for recovery commands (e.g. TUR) while the target core
still has async completion work queued for the old se_cmd. The memset in
queuecommand zeroes se_lun and lun_ref_active, causing
transport_lun_remove_cmd() to skip its percpu_ref_put(). The leaked LUN
reference prevents transport_clear_lun_ref() from completing, hanging
configfs LUN unlink forever in D-state:
INFO: task rm:264 blocked for more than 122 seconds.
rm D 0 264 258 0x00004000

Fix this by making tcm_loop_target_reset() actually drain commands:
1. Issue TMR_LUN_RESET via tcm_loop_issue_tmr() to drain all commands that
the target core knows about (those not yet CMD_T_COMPLETE).
2. Use blk_mq_tagset_busy_iter() to iterate all started requests and
flush_work() on each se_cmd — this drains any deferred completion work
for commands that already had CMD_T_COMPLETE set before the TMR (which
the TMR skips via __target_check_io_state()). This is the same pattern
used by mpi3mr, scsi_debug, and libsas to drain outstanding commands
during reset. |
| Unspecified vulnerability in the search component and module in Mambo 4.5.x and 4.6.x allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (query flood) via unspecified vectors. |
| File descriptor leak in the PDF handler in Clam AntiVirus (ClamAV) allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service via a crafted PDF file. |
| GoAhead WebServer before 2.1.1 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption) by performing a socket disconnect to terminate a request before it has been fully processed by the server. |
| The nl_fib_lookup function in net/ipv4/fib_frontend.c in Linux Kernel before 2.6.20.8 allows attackers to cause a denial of service (kernel panic) via NETLINK_FIB_LOOKUP replies, which trigger infinite recursion and a stack overflow. |
| The disconnect method in the Philips USB Webcam (pwc) driver in Linux kernel 2.6.x before 2.6.22.6 "relies on user space to close the device," which allows user-assisted local attackers to cause a denial of service (USB subsystem hang and CPU consumption in khubd) by not closing the device after the disconnect is invoked. NOTE: this rarely crosses privilege boundaries, unless the attacker can convince the victim to unplug the affected device. |
| The SIP module in Ingate Firewall before 4.6.1 and SIParator before 4.6.1 does not reuse SIP media ports in unspecified call hold and send-only stream scenarios, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (port exhaustion) via unspecified vectors. |
| Race condition in the __find_get_block_slow function in the ISO9660 filesystem in Linux 2.6.18 and possibly other versions allows local users to cause a denial of service (infinite loop) by mounting a crafted ISO9660 filesystem containing malformed data structures. |
| Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) before 3.2.116.21, and 4.0.x before 4.0.155.0, allows remote attackers on a local network to cause a denial of service (device crash) via malformed Ethernet traffic. |
| telnetd.exe in Pragma TelnetServer 7.0.4.589 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (process crash and resource exhaustion) via a crafted TELOPT PRAGMA LOGON telnet option, which triggers a NULL pointer dereference. |
| Unspecified vulnerability in MSO.dll in Microsoft Office 2000 SP3, 2002 SP3, 2003 SP2, 2004 for Mac, and 2007 allows user-assisted remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a malformed drawing object, which triggers memory corruption. |
| Microsoft Windows Explorer (explorer.exe) allows user-assisted remote attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption) via a certain PNG file with a large tEXt chunk that possibly triggers an integer overflow in PNG chunk size handling, as demonstrated by badlycrafted.png. |
| Unspecified vulnerability in dbasvr in CA BrightStor ARCServe BackUp v9.01 through R11.5, and Enterprise Backup r10.5, has unknown impact and attack vectors related to memory corruption. |
