CVE-2026-96642 2 Python, Python-pillow 2 Pillow, Pillow 2026-10-27 6.5 Medium
Pillow is a Python imaging library. Prior to 13.0.0, the TarIO initializer in src/PIL/TarIO.py accepts a negative octal member size and computes a backward seek that returns to the same 512-byte header. When the requested member name does not match, the parser repeatedly reads that header, consumes a full CPU core, and never returns. TarIO is reached only when an application directly uses PIL.TarIO.TarIO rather than the default Image.open() path. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0.
CVE-2026-98886 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-27 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/gma500: return errors from Oaktrail HDMI I2C reads xfer_read() waits for the HDMI I2C transaction to reach I2C_TRANSACTION_DONE, but it ignores both timeout and signal returns from wait_for_completion_interruptible_timeout(). If the interrupt never advances the transaction state, the loop can wait forever. Return -ETIMEDOUT when the completion wait expires, propagate interrupted waits, and make the I2C master_xfer callback return the first transfer error instead of reporting a successful message count.
CVE-2026-116581 1 Lxsmnsyc 1 Seroval 2026-10-27 7.5 High
Seroval facilitates JavaScript value stringification, including complex structures beyond JSON.stringify capabilities. Prior to 1.6.8, fromJSON and fromCrossJSON do not validate a sequence node's done index. A crafted done index can create an iterator that never finishes when application code consumes it to completion. An unauthenticated request to a service that deserializes untrusted input can therefore block the event loop, exhaust process memory, or make the service unavailable. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.8.
CVE-2026-116671 1 Xpdf 1 Xpdf 2026-10-27 N/A
Infinite loop in Xpdf 4.06 and earlier, due to incorrect validation of progression order field in JPEG 2000 image.
CVE-2026-107621 1 J4care 1 Dcm4chee-arc-light 2026-10-26 7.5 High
JPEGParser can enter an infinite loop while parsing a specially crafted or truncated stream.
CVE-2026-111074 1 Eclipse 1 Eclipse Openj9 2026-10-26 N/A
In Eclipse OpenJ9 versions prior to 0.63.0, the JITServer component is vulnerable to a pre-authentication remote denial of service. When processing the initial 4-byte length field of an incoming TCP connection, an integer overflow in `MessageBuffer::computeRequiredCapacity()` causes the receiving compilation worker thread to enter an infinite loop consuming ~100% CPU. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this by opening a small number of crafted TCP connections to exhaust the entire worker thread pool, silently halting compilation services for all connected client JVMs.
CVE-2026-115269 1 Mtrudel 1 Bandit 2026-10-26 N/A
Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling vulnerability in the HTTP/2 request body reader of mtrudel bandit allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to hold stream processes open indefinitely via WINDOW_UPDATE or empty SETTINGS frames sent while a Plug reads the request body. Bandit.HTTP2.Stream.do_read_data/4 in lib/bandit/http2/stream.ex waits for each frame with a fresh read_timeout. A stream WINDOW_UPDATE, or the zero-delta window update that every empty SETTINGS frame delivers to all streams, ends the wait without delivering any body data, and the loop starts a new full countdown. A client that sends one of these 9-byte frames before each countdown expires keeps read_body blocked, together with the stream process and whatever the application holds while reading, for as long as it likes. This issue affects bandit: from 1.4.0 before 1.14.0.
CVE-2026-98914 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-26 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: cap ATOM command table nesting depth Cap nesting at 32 levels with execute_depth and return -ELOOP when exceeded.
CVE-2026-98894 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-26 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/ras: reset CPER ring on corrupt entry size When CPER ring overflow handling advances the read pointer, it trusts the parsed entry size from the current ring contents. Corrupt CPER data can produce an entry size that does not advance rptr after dword conversion and pointer masking. In that case the recovery loop keeps testing the same location while holding the CPER ring mutex. This can hang the worker that is writing the next CPER record. Detect a no-progress rptr update and reset the CPER ring to an empty state instead. This drops the corrupt contents and lets the writer leave the recovery path without spinning.
CVE-2026-98993 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-24 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: namespace: don't inherit MNT_UMOUNT in clone_mnt() MNT_UMOUNT gets raised on a mount that umount_tree() or umount_one() has taken out of its namespace. It's never cleared. __detach_mounts() unhooks a mount that carries it instead of unmounting it. disconnect_mount() lets an unmounted child stay attached only if its parent carries it. propagate_umount() takes it as the sign that a mount is going to be unmounted when it decides what else can be unmounted, where a chain of locked mounts ends and where a for reparenting an overmount. clone_mnt() copies the flags of the source and only masks MNT_INTERNAL_FLAGS which doesn't include MNT_UMOUNT. A mount that was lazily unmounted but is kept alive by a file descriptor can still be copied when its root is an nsfs or pidfs file because may_copy_tree() accepts those before checking whether the source is mounted at all: mount --bind /proc/self/ns/net /tmp/x exec 3< /tmp/x umount -l /tmp/x mount --bind /proc/self/fd/3 /tmp/y The mount on /tmp/y is attached to the caller's namespace with MNT_UMOUNT already set and every copy of it inherits the flag again. That causes a number of bugs: - Unlink its mountpoint from a mount namespace where it isn't one. __detach_mounts() takes it for a mount that was unmounted earlier, unhooks it from its parent and drops the reference the namespace holds on it. It stays in the namespace with one reference too few and as its own parent, so it can't be unmounted through the file descriptor anymore and the namespace never finds it again. When the namespace goes away it's leaked and points to a freed struct mnt_namespace that may_change_propagation() and anon_ns_root() read on the next propagation change or mount_setattr() through the file descriptor. - Make it shared and unmount a peer. trace_transfers() follows the flag from the peer into it and strips it from its peer group. - Let a propagated umount reach it. gather_candidates() marks it with T_UMOUNT_CANDIDATE but never puts it on the candidate list, so the mark is never cleared and every later propagated umount skips it. If it's the parent of a locked mount handle_locked() takes it as the cutoff and commits the locked child that should have stayed and disconnect_mount() leaves that child attached to it, unmounted under a mounted parent, which is what disconnect_mount() exists to prevent. When the namespace goes away umount_tree() visits the child a second time. And once __detach_mounts() has made it its own parent reparent() never finds the end of the chain of unmounted parents. A clone is a new mount that has never been unmounted. Add MNT_UMOUNT to MNT_INTERNAL_FLAGS so clone_mnt() never copies it. And warn when umount_tree() reaches a mount that already has it set.
CVE-2026-106116 1 Sixlabors 1 Imagesharp 2026-10-24 5.3 Medium
ImageSharp is a 2D graphics library. From 2.0.0 until 4.1.2, ExifReader.ReadValues64 trusts the 64-bit BigTIFF IFD entry count and iterates once per declared entry. When fewer than 20 bytes remain, ExifReader.ReadValue64 returns without advancing the stream or terminating the outer loop, so a small malformed BigTIFF can keep one decoder thread executing for an attacker-controlled duration. This report does not claim worker-pool exhaustion. This issue is fixed in version 4.1.2.
CVE-2026-112390 2 Python, Python-pillow 2 Pillow, Pillow 2026-10-23 7.5 High
Pillow is a Python imaging library. From 7.2.0 until 13.0.0, Pillow can enter an infinite loop while determining the frame count of a MIC image. MicImageFile inherits TIFF frame traversal, but MicImageFile.tell reports the OLE stream index and its seek() resets TIFF frame state, so an embedded TIFF with at least three IFDs never advances. When an application with olefile installed reads n_frames or saves all frames from a crafted MIC file, the non-advancing traversal can hold a worker at full CPU indefinitely. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0.
CVE-2026-112391 2 Python, Python-pillow 2 Pillow, Pillow 2026-10-23 7.5 High
Pillow is a Python imaging library. From 5.1.0 until 13.0.0, Pillow's PdfParser.get_value() can recurse without a limit while reading nested PDF objects. The parser follows attacker-controlled arrays and dictionaries when an existing PDF is opened for append. An attacker can provide a deeply nested PDF to an application that saves an image with PDF append enabled. This can raise an uncaught RecursionError or terminate the worker, causing denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0.
CVE-2026-96596 2 Erlang, Hexpm 5 Erlang/otp, Erlang\/otp, Rebar3 and 2 more 2026-10-23 5.5 Medium
Loop with Unreachable Exit Condition ('Infinite Loop') vulnerability in Erlang OTP stdlib (erl_tar module), hexpm hex_core (hex_erl_tar module), hexpm hex (mix_hex_erl_tar module) and erlang rebar3 (r3_hex_erl_tar module) allows an attacker who supplies a tar archive to cause a denial of service via a crafted GNU sparse member. When erl_tar:extract/1,2 writes a member to disk, erl_tar:stream_to_file_loop/3 reads it in chunks of 65536 bytes by default. For a GNU sparse member whose sparse map ends before its real size, erl_tar:do_sparse_read/3 matches its trailing-hole clause before its zero-length clause. After the chunk is used up, the trailing-hole clause reads zero bytes, does not advance the position, and recurses forever. A 2048-byte archive keeps the extracting process and one scheduler busy until the process is killed. The {max_size, N} option prevents this only when N is below the real size of the member. Extraction with the memory option is not affected. hex_core ships its own copy of erl_tar as hex_erl_tar, and Hex and rebar3 ship hex_core with prefixed module names (mix_hex_erl_tar and r3_hex_erl_tar). These copies contain the same code and do not call stdlib's erl_tar, so they are affected on any OTP version. OTP 28 is not affected, but an application running on OTP 28 is affected if it extracts archives through an affected version of hex_core, Hex or rebar3. This issue affects OTP from OTPĀ 29.0 before OTPĀ 29.1.2, corresponding to rebar3 from 3.27.1 before 3.28.0, and stdlib from 8.0 before 8.1.1, and hex from 2.4.2 before 2.5.3; hex_core: from 0.14.0 before 0.20.1.
CVE-2026-100354 1 Getkin 1 Kin-openapi 2026-10-23 7.5 High
kin-openapi is a Go project for handling OpenAPI files. Prior to 0.149.0, runtime request, response, and direct schema validation lacks cycle detection when an allOf, anyOf, or oneOf chain refers back to an ancestor schema, even though loading and document validation accept the circular reference. A request or response that reaches the affected schema causes unbounded recursion in Schema.visitJSON or openapi3filter.decodeValue and exhausts the Go goroutine stack. The resulting fatal stack overflow cannot be caught with recover and terminates the entire process, including unrelated requests. This issue is fixed in version 0.149.0.
