CVE-2026-99097 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-26 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tee: shm: reject zero-sized allocations in tee_dyn_shm_alloc_helper() tee_dyn_shm_alloc_helper() derives nr_pages from a caller-supplied size and passes it to alloc_pages_exact() without checking it. For size == 0 nr_pages is 0, and alloc_pages_exact(0) calls get_order(0), which is documented as undefined and returns BITS_PER_LONG - PAGE_SHIFT. The page allocator then trips its order > MAX_PAGE_ORDER warning and fails the allocation; on a panic_on_warn kernel that ends the boot. This can be triggered by TEE_IOC_SHM_ALLOC with struct tee_ioctl_shm_alloc_data where size is 0. Reject a zero page count, as register_shm_helper() already does for the register path.
CVE-2026-63856 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-26 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu/vcn: set no_user_fence for VCN v2.0 enc/dec rings VCN encoder and decoder rings do not support 64-bit user fence writes, reject CS submissions with user fences. CVE-2026-81038 1 Zephyrproject 1 Zephyr 2026-10-26 7.1 High
The Object Transfer Service server builds its Object Action Control Point (OACP) response indication in oacp_ind_send() (subsys/bluetooth/services/ots/ots_oacp.c). Before this fix the four-byte Checksum Value field was appended whenever the requested op code was BT_GATT_OTS_OACP_PROC_CHECKSUM_CALC, regardless of the result code. The response payload is a bare, uninitialized four-byte stack buffer declared with NET_BUF_SIMPLE_DEFINE(resp_param, sizeof(uint32_t)) in bt_gatt_ots_oacp_write(), and it is filled only on the success path of oacp_checksum_proc_validate(). On every failure path the buffer is still empty, so net_buf_simple_pull_le32() was invoked on a zero-length buffer. The OACP characteristic and its client characteristic configuration descriptor are declared with BT_GATT_PERM_WRITE and BT_GATT_PERM_READ | BT_GATT_PERM_WRITE, so no pairing, encryption, or authentication is required. Any peer within radio range that can connect to a device running the OTS server can enable OACP indications and write a nine-byte Calculate Checksum command that fails validation — for example by issuing it with no object selected, which returns BT_GATT_OTS_OACP_RES_INV_OBJ. Because oacp_command_decode() accepts the Calculate Checksum op code unconditionally (it is not guarded by CONFIG_BT_OTS_OACP_CHECKSUM_SUPPORT), builds without checksum support are reachable too: they answer BT_GATT_OTS_OACP_RES_OPCODE_NOT_SUP and take the same bad path. On builds with CONFIG_ASSERT enabled, the zero-length pull trips the assertion inside net_buf_simple_pull_mem() and panics the device, giving a remotely triggered denial of service. On builds with assertions disabled there is no check: the pull returns the untouched stack array and four bytes of uninitialized stack memory are copied into the indication and transmitted to the peer, repeatable on every request. The disclosure is bounded to four bytes per request and the write stays inside the seven-byte res indication buffer, so there is no memory corruption; the impact is uninitialized-memory disclosure plus an availability loss in assertion-enabled configurations.
CVE-2026-98872 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-26 4.4 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: freevxfs: don't BUG() on unknown typed-extent type vxfs_bmap_typed() handles four typed-extent types and calls BUG() in its default case, so an on-disk typed extent with any other type value crashes the kernel. It is reachable from ioctl(FIBMAP) on a regular file: kernel BUG at fs/freevxfs/vxfs_bmap.c:230! RIP: vxfs_bmap_typed fs/freevxfs/vxfs_bmap.c:230 [inline] vxfs_bmap1+0x128a/0x12d0 fs/freevxfs/vxfs_bmap.c:257 Replace the BUG() with WARN_ON_ONCE() and return 0 -- the value vxfs_bmap_typed() already returns on failure (and from the DEV4 case above); vxfs_getblk() maps 0 to -EIO, so the ioctl fails cleanly.
CVE-2026-98874 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-26 2.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: mld: don't WARN on WoWLAN suspend w/o netdetect Clearly, from a user perspective, it must be valid to configure WoWLAN and then suspend while not connected to a network. Since mac80211 doesn't distinguish these cases and simply calls the driver to suspend whenever WoWLAN is configured, the driver has to cleanly handle the case where it's called for WoWLAN, it's not connected but there's also no netdetect configured. Remove the WARN_ON() and keep returning 1 to disconnect and then suspend.
CVE-2026-98965 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-24 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ice: Restore Ordered MMIO Writes for Tx Doorbells The DQL accounting state which tracks the number of bytes queued for the NIC to transmit, namely dql->num_queued, is updated by the ICE driver when it invokes __netdev_tx_sent_queue(). Subsequently the driver updates the hardware queue tail allowing the NIC to begin processing the work queue. The queue accounting update should be ordered before the NIC begins transmitting descriptors. The transmit path currently updates the hardware doorbell using writel_relaxed(), which (on arm64) does not provide the same ordering guarantees between writes to normal memory and writes to MMIO registers that writel() does. This introduces a potential race where the NIC begins transmitting descriptors before the dql->num_queued update is globally visible. If the NIC finishes before the update is observed by dql_completed(), it detects an invalid state where more bytes have been completed than have been queued. When this happens the following BUG_ON is triggered. BUG_ON(count > num_queued - dql->num_completed); This has been observed and manifests as the following crash (note that the trace has been trimmed) in an environment with sustained network load that uses an Intel Corporation Ethernet Controller E810-XXV for SFP (rev 02) on an arm64 machine. Replacing writel_relaxed() with writel() in a test kernel eliminated the crash in the user's workload, which previously reproduced the issue reliably. kernel BUG at lib/dynamic_queue_limits.c:99 Internal error: Oops - BUG: 00000000f2000800 [#1] SMP pc : dql_completed+0x268/0x2a0 lr : ice_clean_tx_irq+0x1d4/0x620 [ice] Call trace: dql_completed+0x268/0x2a0 (P) ice_napi_poll+0x94/0x520 [ice] __napi_poll+0x48/0x3f0 net_rx_action+0x194/0x420 This restores the behaviour prior to commit ccde82e90946 ("ice: add E830 Earliest TxTime First Offload support"), which changed the notification mechanism from writel() to writel_relaxed().
CVE-2026-99082 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-24 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: x86: Use active memslots for the per-vCPU MMIO cache KVM tags the per-vCPU MMIO cache with a memslot generation so that a memslot update invalidates cached MMIO information. Both the fill and validation paths use kvm_memslots(), which unconditionally selects address space 0, even when the vCPU is running in SMM and using address space 1. Commit 56f17dd3fbc4 ("kvm: x86: fix stale mmio cache bug") added the memslot generation to the cache key so that a memslot update could not leave a stale entry valid. When commit 699023e23965 ("KVM: x86: add SMM to the MMU role, support SMRAM address space") added the SMM address space, these helpers were not converted to use the active memslots. Consequently, an update to the SMM memslots can leave an entry from the old SMM address space apparently valid after the vCPU returns to the normal address space. A guest can then cause an access to valid RAM at the same GFN to be returned to userspace as KVM_EXIT_MMIO. Completing that exit through the VMM's RAM address space writes the backing page without going through KVM's write-tracking path. If the page backs a nested EPT table, KVM can continue using shadow translations derived from the old contents. The WARN_ON_ONCE() in kvm_mmu_write_protect_fault() catches this invalid cache and memslot combination. Use the vCPU's active memslots when caching and validating the entry. Memslot generations are unique across address spaces, so the generation also distinguishes the normal and SMM views. This matches the MMIO SPTE cache, which already uses kvm_vcpu_memslots(). On an unpatched current-mainline kernel, a regression test that fills the cache in SMM and updates only the SMM memslots fails the intended RAM write and triggers the kvm_mmu_write_protect_fault() warning. With this change, the same test completes the RAM write without a warning. The x86/smm_test, set_memory_region_test, and memslot_modification_stress_test selftests also pass.
CVE-2026-98469 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-24 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: Fix AArch32 DBGBXVR<n> handling The consolidation of the breakpoint and watchpoint register accessors switched DBGBXVR<n> from trap_bvr() to trap_dbg_wb_reg(). The latter selects backing storage with demux_wb_reg(), which only handles Op2 values 4 through 7. Since DBGBXVR<n> uses Op2 1, an AArch32 guest access hits KVM_BUG_ON() and marks the VM dead. DBGBXVR<n> aliases DBGBVR<n>_EL1[63:32], and its AA32(HI) descriptor already selects the upper half. Map Op2 1 to dbg_bvr[] alongside Op2 4, restoring the pre-regression behavior.
CVE-2026-98984 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-24 3.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dcache: don't put a mountpoint on a dentry that's being removed rmdir(), unlink() and rename() call dont_mount() on the victim and then detach_mounts() with the victim's inode locked. do_lock_mount() takes the inode lock of the mountpoint and checks cant_mount() so a mount can't show up after detach_mounts(). But attach_recursive_mnt() makes a second mountpoint for the root of the source mount so that the mounts already located at the destination can be put on top of it. No inode is locked for that one and d_set_mounted() only refuses a dentry that is unlinked. Between detach_mounts() and d_delete() the victim is still hashed: rmrace: b passed dont_mount() and detach_mounts(), sleeping T2: move_mount(S, /tmp/plcant/x, BENEATH) = 0 errno 0 () T1: rmdir(/tmp/plcant/d/b) = 0 errno 0 109 107 0:61 /d/b//deleted /tmp/plcant/x rw,relatime - tmpfs tmpfs rw 108 109 0:63 / /tmp/plcant/x rw,relatime - tmpfs T rw A bind mount of the directory that's being removed is moved beneath an existing mount while the rmdir() is located between the two calls. The mount ends up on the removed directory and nothing will ever detach it. Check cant_mount() in d_set_mounted() as well. dont_mount() raises the flag under d_lock before detach_mounts() runs so either the mountpoint is set first and detach_mounts() finds the mount or the flag is seen and the mount is refused.
CVE-2026-98934 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: sr: use skb_get_hash_net() in seg6_make_flowlabel() Since commit d58e468b1112 ("flow_dissector: implements flow dissector BPF hook") __skb_flow_dissect() needs a net pointer, either from skb->dev, skb->sk, or since commit 3cbf4ffba5ee ("net: plumb network namespace into __skb_flow_dissect") a caller provided pointer. syzbot was able to reach seg6_make_flowlabel() with an skb having neither skb->dev nor skb->sk set: a TIPC UDP bearer sends a discovery message through an IPv4 route using seg6 encap, while net.ipv6.seg6_flowlabel is set to 1. seg6_make_flowlabel() already has a net pointer, use skb_get_hash_net(). CVE-2026-99007 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-23 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/fb-helper: defer setup when fbdev_probe() fails, not just on -EAGAIN __drm_fb_helper_initial_config_and_unlock() calls drm_client_modeset_probe() first, which already fills in each mode_set->mode/num_connectors for every connected output, and only afterwards calls drm_fb_helper_single_fb_probe() to create fb_helper->fb and wire it into those mode_sets via drm_setup_crtcs_fb(). If drm_fb_helper_single_fb_probe() fails with anything other than -EAGAIN (e.g. dev->driver->fbdev_probe() itself fails), the function bails out before drm_setup_crtcs_fb() runs and before setting fb_helper->deferred_setup. The client is left with mode_sets that have a mode and connectors but mode_set->fb == NULL, and nothing marks this fb_helper as needing a retry. __drm_fb_helper_restore_fbdev_mode_unlocked() only skips committing when fb_helper->deferred_setup is set, so a later .restore() call (drm_lastclose() on process exit, in this report) commits the stale mode_set through drm_client_modeset_commit() -> drm_client_modeset_commit_atomic() -> __drm_atomic_helper_set_config(), which hits WARN_ON(!set->fb). Mark fb_helper->deferred_setup on any drm_fb_helper_single_fb_probe() failure, not just -EAGAIN, so restore keeps skipping the commit until a later hotplug event successfully re-probes and re-populates mode_set->fb. The real error code is still returned to the caller unchanged.
CVE-2026-98729 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/mm: Don't apply va_align to hugetlb mappings on AMD F15h get_align_mask() returns huge_page_mask_align() for hugetlbfs, but get_align_bits() adds va_align.bits regardless, so vm_unmapped_area() returns an address off the huge page boundary and __unmap_hugepage_range() hits BUG_ON(start & ~huge_page_mask(h)) at teardown. This can be triggered on Carrizo and FX-8370E, both hstates. Pass the file to get_align_bits() and skip the randomisation for hugetlbfs. [ bp: Massage commit message. ]
CVE-2026-98920 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-23 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfs: Fix missing alloc tagging of direct mempool allocations Commit 1d78d56c43ef ("netfs: Fix folio_queue ENOMEM in writeback by adding a mempool") added a mempool for the folio_queues and made the request, subrequest and folio_queue allocations distinguish between writeback and everything else. Writeback is part of memory reclaim and must not fail due to ENOMEM, so it allocates under GFP_NOFS through mempool_alloc(), which may dip into the pool's reserve and, if that runs empty, wait for elements to be returned. The GFP_KERNEL paths, which can return -ENOMEM to their callers, invoke the pool's ->alloc() callback directly instead. The direct call, however, skips the alloc_hooks() wrapper that the mempool_alloc() macro provides. The pool callbacks, mempool_alloc_slab() and mempool_kmalloc(), call kmem_cache_alloc_noprof() and kmalloc_noprof() and rely on current->alloc_tag having been set by the caller. With CONFIG_MEM_ALLOC_PROFILING_DEBUG=y this leads to current->alloc_tag not set WARNING: ./include/linux/alloc_tag.h:161 at __alloc_tagging_slab_alloc_hook alloc_tag was not set WARNING: ./include/linux/alloc_tag.h:166 at __alloc_tagging_slab_free_hook at allocation and free time respectively, as reported when reading files on a CIFS mount. The allocations are also missing from /proc/allocinfo. Wrap the direct ->alloc() invocations in alloc_hooks() with a new mempool_alloc_noreserve() helper in include/linux/mempool.h, next to the other alloc_hooks()-wrapped macros such as mempool_alloc(). The GFP_KERNEL paths keep their failable allocation semantics, they just get tagged now.
CVE-2026-92155 1 Nasa 1 Fprime 2026-10-23 7.5 High
F´ (F Prime) is a framework that enables development and deployment of spaceflight and other embedded software applications. Prior to 4.2.0, Fw::FilePacket deserialization used by Svc::FileUplink is vulnerable because Header deserialization casts the byte to the Type enum without validating its range and FilePacket::fromSerialBuffer reaches a default FW_ASSERT. When a network file packet contains an unknown file-packet type byte, the assertion aborts or resets the default Ref application process, causing denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 4.2.0.
CVE-2026-98713 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-23 6.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: Apply the fine-grained UNDEFs without FEAT_FGT FGUs don't actually require hardware support, so don't gate fgt trap config insertion on FGT. This is the only action required to allow FGUs always, as kvm_calculate_traps() already computes the FGU bits with or without FEAT_FGT. This also fixes a spurious WARN when a TLBI OS is run on a guest in vEL1 without FEAT_TLBIOS on non FEAT_FGT hardware. In this configuration the course-grained HCR_EL2.TTLBOS trap reaches the handler handle_tlbi_el1(), which expects an EL1 TLBI only from vEL2. With FGUs enabled the UNDEF will be injected without needing the specific handler. [oliver: Take Wei-Lin's suggested changelog]
