| CVE-2026-43622 | 2 Ggml, Ggml-org | 2 Llama.cpp, Llama.cpp | 2026-08-14 | 7.8 High |
| llama.cpp builds b1886 through b7445 contain a double free vulnerability in the LLaMA-Android JNI wrapper where new_1batch() allocates memory using malloc() while free_1batch() deallocates it using the C++ delete operator, causing heap metadata corruption. Attackers can trigger this memory management mismatch to cause denial of service through process crashes or potentially achieve arbitrary code execution depending on allocator state. | ||||
| CVE-2026-64597 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-14 | 9.8 Critical |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix double-free in SMB2_close() replay A response-bearing attempt can return a replayable error and free its response buffer. If SMB2_close_init() fails before the next send, cleanup retains the previous buffer type and frees that response again. Reset response bookkeeping before each attempt to prevent the stale free. | ||||
| CVE-2026-53067 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-13 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: PCI: endpoint: pci-ep-msi: Fix error unwind and prevent double alloc pci_epf_alloc_doorbell() stores the allocated doorbell message array in epf->db_msg/epf->num_db before requesting MSI vectors. If MSI allocation fails, the array is freed but the EPF state may still point to freed memory. Clear epf->db_msg and epf->num_db on the MSI allocation failure path so that later cleanup cannot double-free the array and callers can retry allocation. Also return -EBUSY when doorbells have already been allocated to prevent leaking or overwriting an existing allocation. | ||||

| CVE-2026-64242 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-13 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: net2280: Fix double free in probe error path usb_initialize_gadget() installs gadget_release() as the release callback for the embedded gadget device. The struct net2280 instance is therefore released through gadget_release() when the gadget device's last reference is dropped. The probe error path calls net2280_remove(), which tears down the partially initialized device and drops the gadget reference with usb_put_gadget(). Calling kfree(dev) afterwards can free the same object again. Drop the explicit kfree() and let the gadget device release callback handle the final free. This issue was found by a static analysis tool I am developing. | ||||
| CVE-2026-18663 | 1 Redhat | 2 Directory Server, Enterprise Linux | 2026-08-13 | 5.9 Medium |
| A flaw was found in 389-ds-base. The get_ldapmessage_controls_ext() function frees the parsed controls array on the Session Tracking critical-control rejection path without clearing the SLAPI_REQCONTROLS pblock slot. Operation teardown then frees the same pointer again, causing a double-free. An unauthenticated remote attacker can trigger this with a single BIND request carrying a critical Session Tracking control, resulting in heap corruption and potential denial of service. | ||||
| CVE-2026-64118 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-13 | 8.4 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: qed: fix double free in qed_cxt_tables_alloc() If one of the later PF or VF CID bitmap allocations fails, qed_cid_map_alloc() jumps to cid_map_fail and frees the previously allocated CID bitmaps before returning an error. qed_cxt_tables_alloc() then calls qed_cxt_mngr_free(), which invokes qed_cid_map_free() again. Fix this by setting each CID bitmap pointer to NULL after bitmap_free() to avoid double free. The bug was first flagged by an experimental analysis tool we are developing for kernel memory-management bugs while analyzing v6.13-rc1. The tool is still under development and is not yet publicly available. Manual inspection confirms that the bug is still present in v7.1-rc3. Runtime reproduction was not attempted because exercising the failing allocation path requires device-specific setup. | ||||
| CVE-2026-53009 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux | 2026-08-12 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ice: fix double-free of tx_buf skb If ice_tso() or ice_tx_csum() fail, the error path in ice_xmit_frame_ring() frees the skb, but the 'first' tx_buf still points to it and is marked as valid (ICE_TX_BUF_SKB). 'next_to_use' remains unchanged, so the potential problem will likely fix itself when the next packet is transmitted and the tx_buf gets overwritten. But if there is no next packet and the interface is brought down instead, ice_clean_tx_ring() -> ice_unmap_and_free_tx_buf() will find the tx_buf and free the skb for the second time. The fix is to reset the tx_buf type to ICE_TX_BUF_EMPTY in the error path, so that ice_unmap_and_free_tx_buf(). Move the initialization of 'first' up, to ensure it's already valid in case we hit the linearization error path. The bug was spotted by AI while I had it looking for something else. It also proposed an initial version of the patch. I reproduced the bug and tested the fix by adding code to inject failures, on a build with KASAN. I looked for similar bugs in related Intel drivers and did not find any. | ||||
| CVE-2026-53233 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-12 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netdev: fix double-free in netdev_nl_bind_rx_doit() Sashiko flags that genlmsg_reply() always consumes the skb. The error path calls nlmsg_free(rsp) so we can't jump directly to it. Let's not unbind, just propagate the error to the user. This is the typical way of handling genlmsg_reply() failures. They shouldn't happen unless user does something silly like calling the kernel with an already-full rcvbuf. | ||||
| CVE-2026-53286 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-12 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: idpf: fix double free and use-after-free in aux device error paths When auxiliary_device_add() fails in idpf_plug_vport_aux_dev() or idpf_plug_core_aux_dev(), the err_aux_dev_add label calls auxiliary_device_uninit() and falls through to err_aux_dev_init. The uninit call will trigger put_device(), which invokes the release callback (idpf_vport_adev_release / idpf_core_adev_release) that frees iadev. The fall-through then reads adev->id from the freed iadev for ida_free() and double-frees iadev with kfree(). Free the IDA slot and clear the back-pointer before uninit, while adev is still valid, then return immediately. Commit 65637c3a1811 ("idpf: fix UAF in RDMA core aux dev deinitialization") fixed the same use-after-free in the matching unplug path in this file but missed both probe error paths. | ||||
| CVE-2026-64224 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-12 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: octeontx2-pf: fix double free in rvu_rep_rsrc_init() rvu_rep_rsrc_init() allocates queue memory before calling otx2_init_hw_resources(). When hardware resource setup fails, otx2_init_hw_resources() already unwinds the partially initialized SQ, CQ, and aura state before returning an error. The representor error path then calls otx2_free_hw_resources() again and can free the same resources a second time. Fix this by splitting the cleanup labels so that a failure from otx2_init_hw_resources() only releases queue memory. Keep the otx2_free_hw_resources() call for failures that happen after hardware resource initialization completed successfully. The bug was first flagged by an experimental analysis tool we are developing for kernel memory-management bugs while analyzing v6.13-rc1. The tool is still under development and is not yet publicly available. Manual inspection confirms that the bug is still present in v7.1-rc3. Runtime validation was not performed because reproducing this path requires OcteonTX2 representor hardware. | ||||
| CVE-2018-0101 | 1 Cisco | 2 Adaptive Security Appliance Software, Secure Firewall Threat Defense | 2026-08-11 | N/A |
| A vulnerability in the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) VPN functionality of the Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a reload of the affected system or to remotely execute code. The vulnerability is due to an attempt to double free a region of memory when the webvpn feature is enabled on the Cisco ASA device. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending multiple, crafted XML packets to a webvpn-configured interface on the affected system. An exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code and obtain full control of the system, or cause a reload of the affected device. This vulnerability affects Cisco ASA Software that is running on the following Cisco products: 3000 Series Industrial Security Appliance (ISA), ASA 5500 Series Adaptive Security Appliances, ASA 5500-X Series Next-Generation Firewalls, ASA Services Module for Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches and Cisco 7600 Series Routers, ASA 1000V Cloud Firewall, Adaptive Security Virtual Appliance (ASAv), Firepower 2100 Series Security Appliance, Firepower 4110 Security Appliance, Firepower 9300 ASA Security Module, Firepower Threat Defense Software (FTD). Cisco Bug IDs: CSCvg35618. | ||||
| CVE-2020-3179 | 1 Cisco | 25 Asa 5505, Asa 5505 Firmware, Asa 5510 and 22 more | 2026-08-11 | 7.5 High |
| A vulnerability in the generic routing encapsulation (GRE) tunnel decapsulation feature of Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on an affected device. The vulnerability is due to a memory handling error when GRE over IPv6 traffic is processed. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted GRE over IPv6 packets with either IPv4 or IPv6 payload through an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the device to crash, resulting in a DoS condition. | ||||
| CVE-2026-64222 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-11 | 7 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: octeontx2-pf: avoid double free of pool->stack on AQ init failure otx2_pool_aq_init() frees pool->stack when mailbox sync or retry allocation fails, but leaves the pointer unchanged. Later, otx2_sq_aura_pool_init() unwinds the partial setup through otx2_aura_pool_free(), which frees pool->stack again. The CN20K-specific cn20k_pool_aq_init() implementation has the same bug in its corresponding error path. Set pool->stack to NULL immediately after the local free so the shared cleanup path does not free the same stack again while cleaning up partially initialized pool state. The bug was first flagged by an experimental analysis tool we are developing for kernel memory-management bugs while analyzing v6.13-rc1. The tool is still under development and is not yet publicly available. Manual inspection confirms that the bug is still present in v7.1-rc3. Runtime validation was not performed because reproducing this path requires OcteonTX2/CN20K hardware. | ||||
| CVE-2026-11894 | 1 Zephyrproject | 1 Zephyr | 2026-08-11 | 5.9 Medium |
| The Realtek BEE Bluetooth HCI driver's send callback, bt_hci_bee_send() in drivers/bluetooth/hci/hci_bee.c, violated the bt_hci_driver_api buffer-ownership contract. That contract requires the driver to consume (unref) the transmit net_buf only on success; on an error return the host caller retains ownership and unrefs the buffer itself. The pre-fix code routed all error paths through a shared cleanup label that unconditionally called net_buf_unref(buf) before returning the error code. Because the host TX paths (in subsys/bluetooth/host/hci_core.c) unref the buffer again after send() returns an error, the buffer is freed twice: the driver returns it to its net_buf pool and the host then unrefs the already-freed buffer, corrupting the shared pool / underflowing the reference count (CWE-415). The same error branch additionally dereferenced buf->len inside a LOG_ERR call after the buffer had already been unref'd, a read of freed memory (CWE-416) that is compiled in at the default error log level. The failing edges are reached when the controller's host-to-controller buffer allocation fails or the controller send fails (resource-exhaustion / IO conditions). A remote Bluetooth peer can push the device toward these conditions indirectly by driving heavy host transmit activity, at which point the double-free corrupts the host net_buf pool and most likely crashes the device, with residual potential for further memory corruption. The impact is confined to builds using this specific Realtek BEE HCI driver. The fix returns early from each error path without unreffing and unrefs the buffer only on the success path, restoring the ownership contract and eliminating both the double-free and the use-after-free read. | ||||
| CVE-2026-11893 | 1 Zephyrproject | 1 Zephyr | 2026-08-11 | 5.9 Medium |
| The Bluetooth HCI driver for Bouffalo Lab on-chip BLE controllers (BL60x/BL70x/BL61x), bt_bflb_send() in drivers/bluetooth/hci/hci_bflb.c, violates the bt_hci_driver_api.send() buffer-ownership contract. That contract (documented at include/zephyr/drivers/bluetooth.h) requires the buffer reference to be consumed only on success; on error the caller still owns the reference and unrefs it. The driver instead routed all error paths through a shared label that unconditionally called net_buf_unref(buf) before returning the error code, consuming the buffer on failure as well. When send() returns an error, the host TX path (send_buf() in subsys/bluetooth/host/conn.c) unrefs the same buffer again, believing it still owns it. This double-unref over-decrements the net_buf reference count. Because the buffer is a TX fragment whose destroy callback also decrements its still-queued parent buffer, the parent is freed prematurely while reachable on the connection TX queue, producing a use-after-free and corruption of the shared net_buf pool rather than a benign leak. The error conditions are on the host-to-controller transmit path (controller send failure, or an unsupported H:4 packet type), so they are not driven directly by attacker-supplied radio bytes; a remote/adjacent peer can influence them only indirectly, e.g. by inducing controller TX failures under heavy link load. The consequence when reached is BLE-stack denial of service (crash / pool corruption) with possible further memory corruption, bounded to devices using one of these Bouffalo Lab on-chip controllers. | ||||

| CVE-2026-20338 | 1 Cisco | 1 Secure Endpoint | 2026-08-08 | 7.5 High |
| A vulnerability in the zip archive parser of ClamAV could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a DoS condition on an affected device. This vulnerability is due to improper memory handling when processing content in zip files during scanning. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by submitting a crafted zip file for scanning. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the ClamAV scanning process to terminate as a result of a memory double-free, resulting in a DoS condition on the affected software. | ||||
| CVE-2026-64568 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-08 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: fix unsol_bcast_probe_resp double free on alloc failure ieee80211_set_unsol_bcast_probe_resp() calls kfree_rcu() on the old template before allocating the replacement. If the kzalloc() then fails, it returns -ENOMEM while link->u.ap.unsol_bcast_probe_resp still points at the object already queued for freeing.
