CVSS v3.1 |
| n8n-nodes-sqlite3 is a node for operating a local SQLite database from n8n. Prior to 1.0.0, nodes/SqliteNode/v1/SqliteV1.node.ts exposes the db_path database file path as a node parameter that permits data expressions from upstream workflow input. A workflow author who maps untrusted input to db_path can allow a remote attacker to select which SQLite file the n8n process opens, enabling traversal outside the intended database location and potentially reading, creating, or overwriting files accessible to the process. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.0. |
| Wazuh is an open-source security platform providing unified XDR and SIEM protection for endpoints and cloud workloads. The ip-customblock active response script contains a path traversal vulnerability that lets an attacker create or delete arbitrary files on the filesystem as root. The script builds a file path by concatenating the srcip field taken from alert JSON directly onto the fixed /ipblock/ base directory, without validating that the value is a well-formed IP address. Because the extraction routine returns the raw string unchecked, an attacker who can trigger alert-matching log events with a crafted srcip containing ../ sequences can escape the base directory. The block action opens the resulting path in append mode, creating an empty file at an arbitrary location, while the unblock action passes it to remove(), deleting an arbitrary file; since the active response daemon runs as root, this includes sensitive files such as system credentials and Wazuh configuration. Unlike the sibling scripts host-deny.c, default-firewall-drop.c, and firewalld-drop.c, which reject non-IP input via get_ip_version(), ip-customblock.c omits this validation. This issue is fixed in version 4.14.7. |
| Path traversal vulnerability in UnPoller 2.33.0 password field allows arbitrary file read and network exfiltration. |
| In DocSys-master V2.02.85, the downloadDocEx interface in src/com/DocSystem/controller/DocController.java has an arbitrary file read vulnerability: |
| The shared-files-pro WordPress plugin before 1.7.70 does not validate the file path supplied when creating a featured image, allowing unauthenticated attackers to read arbitrary files from the server and republish their contents at a public URL. |
| A flaw has been found in houtini-ai houtini-lm up to 2.13.2. The impacted element is an unknown function of the file src/index.ts of the component code_task_files. Executing a manipulation can lead to path traversal. The attack can be launched remotely. This patch is called 35d97bca0531894da36a85aedb95312da1bd5b7a. It is best practice to apply a patch to resolve this issue. |
| aqua is a declarative command-line version manager written in Go. Prior to 2.60.1, pkg/unarchive/archives.go in the handler.HandleFile method calls os.Symlink with archives.FileInfo.LinkTarget without verifying that the target remains under the extraction destination. A later regular-file entry at the same archive path is opened with OpenFile using O_CREATE and O_WRONLY, which follows the attacker-planted symlink. A malicious or compromised package archive can therefore write attacker-controlled bytes outside aqua's extraction directory with the privileges of the user running aqua, potentially overwriting shell startup files, tool configuration, or writable executable paths. This issue is fixed in version 2.60.1. |
| gpt-crawler through 1.5.1 fails to validate the outputFileName parameter in the POST /crawl endpoint, allowing unauthenticated attackers to write arbitrary files to any filesystem path. Attackers can supply absolute paths or parent-directory segments to overwrite existing files with content sourced from attacker-controlled URLs. |
| Qwen-Agent through 0.0.34 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the document parser that fails to restrict file access to intended directories. Attackers can supply absolute file paths to the unauthenticated Gradio interface to read arbitrary files accessible by the server process. |
| pip would treat console_scripts and gui_scripts as paths instead of file names without sanitizing the resolved absolute path to the installation directory, leading to entry points being installed outside the installation directory. |
| Winter CMS before 1.2.13 contains a local file inclusion vulnerability in the JavascriptImporter filter that allows authenticated users with cms.manage_assets permission to disclose arbitrary server-readable files by placing =include or =require directives in theme JavaScript assets. Attackers can reference files like .env outside the theme directory, and the combined output served through the combine route becomes readable by unauthenticated visitors, exposing application keys and database credentials. |
| libreoffice-convert is a Node.js module for converting office documents to different formats. Prior to 1.8.2, index.js uses the caller-controlled options.fileName value in path.join(tempDir.name, fileName) without reducing it to a base name. A filename containing ../ can escape the temporary directory because path.basename() normalization is missing and write the supplied document buffer to an arbitrary path writable by the process, including an SSH authorized_keys file, a cron configuration, or a web root. This issue is fixed in version 1.8.2. |
| NLTK (Natural Language Toolkit) is a suite of open source Python modules, data sets, and tutorials supporting research and development in Natural Language Processing. Prior to 3.10.0-rc1, nltk.data.load() in NLTK is vulnerable to path traversal via URL-encoded path separators and traversal segments when using the nltk: URL scheme. The unsafe-path regex check is performed before url2pathname() decodes the %xx sequences (a classic decode-after-check / TOCTOU-style flaw), allowing an attacker to bypass the protection documented in NLTK's SECURITY.md and read arbitrary files from the filesystem. While literal traversal strings such as ../../../etc/passwd are correctly blocked, encoded variants such as %2fetc%2fpasswd, %2e%2e%2f..., and ..%2f..%2f slip past the regex and are subsequently decoded into a real filesystem path. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.10.0-rc1. |
| Docling simplifies document processing by parsing diverse formats and providing integrations with the generative AI ecosystem. Prior to 2.91.0, the EasyOCR model download functionality extracted ZIP archives without validating member paths, enabling Zip Slip attacks. If an attacker could compromise the model download source (via supply chain attack, DNS spoofing, or MITM), they could write arbitrary files to any location writable by the process, potentially achieving remote code execution by overwriting Python files or system binaries, persistent backdoors by modifying startup scripts or SSH keys, and data corruption or system compromise. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.91.0. |
| Jupyter Server is the backend for Jupyter web applications. In versions 2.17.0 and earlier, a path traversal vulnerability in the REST API allows an authenticated user to escape the configured root_dir and access sibling directories whose names begin with the same prefix as the root_dir. For example, with a root_dir named "test", the API permits access to a sibling directory named "testtest" through a crafted request to the /api/contents endpoint using encoded path components. An attacker can read, write, and delete files in affected sibling directories. Multi-tenant deployments using predictable naming schemes are particularly at risk, as a user with a directory named "user1" could access directories for user10 through user19 and beyond. A user who can choose a single-character folder name could gain access to a significant number of sibling directories.
Version 2.18.0 contains a fix. As a workaround, ensure folder names do not share a common prefix with any sibling directory. |
| A vulnerability in the `_create_model_version()` handler of `mlflow/server/handlers.py` in mlflow/mlflow versions 3.9.0 and earlier allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to read arbitrary files from the server's filesystem. The issue arises when a `CreateModelVersion` request includes the tag `mlflow.prompt.is_prompt`, which bypasses source path validation. This enables an attacker to store an arbitrary local filesystem path as the model version source. The `get_model_version_artifact_handler()` function later uses this source to serve files without verifying the model version's prompt status, leading to a complete confidentiality compromise. This issue is fixed in version 3.10.0. |
| In Eclipse SW360 versions 19.0.0, 19.1.0, 19.2.0, 20.0.0, 20.1.0, if the system is configured to use file system storage with config key enable.attachment.store.to.file.system, the attacker can manipulate the filename upon upload and can essentially cause arbitrary file path traversal.
The immediate workaround is to disable enable.attachment.store.to.file.system or update to fixed versions. |
| Unitree G1 EDU firmware through 1.5.2 contains an unauthenticated remote code execution vulnerability that allows network-adjacent attackers to execute arbitrary commands as root by chaining three weaknesses: an unauthenticated WebRTC-to-DDS bridge on TCP port 9991, a static AES-128 key stored with world-readable permissions, and a path traversal flaw in the chat_go knowledge upload API. Attackers can publish DDS control messages to restart the bashrunner service, plant a malicious payload in its script execution directory via path traversal, and trigger execution of that payload as uid 0 through the bashrunner shell subprocess. |
| A vulnerability was found in MAA-AI MaaMCP up to 1.1.1.dev6+g2e4a41287. The affected element is the function save_pipeline/load_pipeline of the file pipeline_tools.py. Performing a manipulation results in path traversal. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been made public and could be used. The patch is named c93ef45cba75295eba26d9ff1ffb9202a91c6150. To fix this issue, it is recommended to deploy a patch. |
| A flaw has been found in RooCodeInc Roo-Code up to 3.51.1. This issue affects the function path.resolve of the file src/core/tools/ApplyPatchTool.ts of the component ApplyPatchTool. This manipulation causes path traversal. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit has been published and may be used. Multiple isses were reported to the vendor beforehand. They explain, that "they all apply to Roo Code, a project we no longer support - the repository was archived a while ago, and we don't encourage anyone to use it." This vulnerability only affects products that are no longer supported by the maintainer. |
