CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nvme: nvme-fc: Ensure ->ioerr_work is cancelled in nvme_fc_delete_ctrl()
nvme_fc_delete_assocation() waits for pending I/O to complete before
returning, and an error can cause ->ioerr_work to be queued after
cancel_work_sync() had been called. Move the call to cancel_work_sync() to
be after nvme_fc_delete_association() to ensure ->ioerr_work is not running
when the nvme_fc_ctrl object is freed. Otherwise the following can occur:

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: cdc-acm: Check control transfer buffer size before access
If the first fragment is shorter than struct usb_cdc_notification, we can't
calculate an expected_size. Log an error and discard the notification
instead of reading lengths from memory outside the received data, which can
lead to memory corruption when the expected_size decreases between
fragments, causing `expected_size - acm->nb_index` to wrap.
This issue has been present since the beginning of git history; however,
it only leads to memory corruption since commit ea2583529cd1
("cdc-acm: reassemble fragmented notifications").
A mitigating factor is that acm_ctrl_irq() can only execute after userspace
has opened /dev/ttyACM*; but if ModemManager is running, ModemManager will
do that automatically depending on the USB device's vendor/product IDs and
its other interfaces. |
| libcurl would wrongly close the same eventfd file descriptor twice when taking
down a connection channel after having completed a threaded name resolve. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
tcp_metrics: validate source addr length
I don't see anything checking that TCP_METRICS_ATTR_SADDR_IPV4
is at least 4 bytes long, and the policy doesn't have an entry
for this attribute at all (neither does it for IPv6 but v6 is
manually validated). |
| A vulnerability was found in GnuTLS. The response times to malformed ciphertexts in RSA-PSK ClientKeyExchange differ from the response times of ciphertexts with correct PKCS#1 v1.5 padding. This issue may allow a remote attacker to perform a timing side-channel attack in the RSA-PSK key exchange, potentially leading to the leakage of sensitive data. CVE-2024-0553 is designated as an incomplete resolution for CVE-2023-5981. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ext4: avoid online resizing failures due to oversized flex bg
When we online resize an ext4 filesystem with a oversized flexbg_size,
mkfs.ext4 -F -G 67108864 $dev -b 4096 100M
mount $dev $dir
resize2fs $dev 16G
the following WARN_ON is triggered:

This is because flexbg_size is too large and the size of the new_group_data
array to be allocated exceeds MAX_ORDER. Currently, the minimum value of
MAX_ORDER is 8, the minimum value of PAGE_SIZE is 4096, the corresponding
maximum number of groups that can be allocated is:
(PAGE_SIZE << MAX_ORDER) / sizeof(struct ext4_new_group_data) ≈ 21845
And the value that is down-aligned to the power of 2 is 16384. Therefore,
this value is defined as MAX_RESIZE_BG, and the number of groups added
each time does not exceed this value during resizing, and is added multiple
times to complete the online resizing. The difference is that the metadata
in a flex_bg may be more dispersed. |
| An issue was discovered in drivers/net/ethernet/intel/igb/igb_main.c in the IGB driver in the Linux kernel before 6.5.3. A buffer size may not be adequate for frames larger than the MTU. |
| Payload is a free and open source headless content management system. In versions from 3.0.0 before 3.90.0 and canary versions before 4.0.0-canary.34, a malformed multipart request body can cause multipart Content-Type processing to take an extremely long time, resulting in uncontrolled resource consumption. This issue is fixed in versions 3.90.0 and 4.0.0-canary.34. |
| Payload is a free and open source headless content management system. In @payloadcms/plugin-form-builder versions before 3.90.0 and canary versions before 4.0.0-canary.34, an attacker can craft a form submission that executes code remotely on the server. This issue is fixed in versions 3.90.0 and 4.0.0-canary.34. |
| Payload is a free and open source headless content management system. In versions before 3.90.0 and canary versions before 4.0.0-canary.34, a crafted request to the public first-register operation can execute code remotely when local authentication is enabled and no initial user has been created. This issue is fixed in versions 3.90.0 and 4.0.0-canary.34. |

| Issue summary: Checking excessively long DH keys or parameters may be very slow.
Impact summary: Applications that use the functions DH_check(), DH_check_ex()
or EVP_PKEY_param_check() to check a DH key or DH parameters may experience long
delays. Where the key or parameters that are being checked have been obtained
from an untrusted source this may lead to a Denial of Service.
The function DH_check() performs various checks on DH parameters. One of those
checks confirms that the modulus ('p' parameter) is not too large. Trying to use
a very large modulus is slow and OpenSSL will not normally use a modulus which
is over 10,000 bits in length.
However the DH_check() function checks numerous aspects of the key or parameters
that have been supplied. Some of those checks use the supplied modulus value
even if it has already been found to be too large.
An application that calls DH_check() and supplies a key or parameters obtained
from an untrusted source could be vulernable to a Denial of Service attack.
The function DH_check() is itself called by a number of other OpenSSL functions.
An application calling any of those other functions may similarly be affected.
The other functions affected by this are DH_check_ex() and
EVP_PKEY_param_check().
Also vulnerable are the OpenSSL dhparam and pkeyparam command line applications
when using the '-check' option.
The OpenSSL SSL/TLS implementation is not affected by this issue.
The OpenSSL 3.0 and 3.1 FIPS providers are not affected by this issue. |
| A vulnerability has been identified in SIMATIC IPC BX-21A (All versions < V31.01.13), SIMATIC IPC RW-543A (All versions < V1.1.4), SIMATIC IPC227G / IPC277G / IPC277G PRO / IPC327G / IPC377G (All versions < V28.01.15). A BIOS vendor test key is present in the UEFI Secure Boot key database. This could allow a local attacker with physical or administrative access to the device to boot an operating system or UEFI application signed with that test key, bypassing UEFI Secure Boot protections even when Secure Boot is enabled, potentially leading to a full loss of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the device. |
| A timing side-channel in the handling of RSA ClientKeyExchange messages was discovered in GnuTLS. This side-channel can be sufficient to recover the key encrypted in the RSA ciphertext across a network in a Bleichenbacher style attack. To achieve a successful decryption the attacker would need to send a large amount of specially crafted messages to the vulnerable server. By recovering the secret from the ClientKeyExchange message, the attacker would be able to decrypt the application data exchanged over that connection. |
| A heap buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the DTLS handshake fragment reassembly logic of GnuTLS. The issue arises in merge_handshake_packet() where incoming handshake fragments are matched and merged based solely on handshake type, without validating that the message_length field remains consistent across all fragments of the same logical message. An attacker can exploit this by sending crafted DTLS fragments with conflicting message_length values, causing the implementation to allocate a buffer based on a smaller initial fragment and subsequently write beyond its bounds using larger, inconsistent fragments. Because the merge operation does not enforce proper bounds checking against the allocated buffer size, this results in an out-of-bounds write on the heap. The vulnerability is remotely exploitable without authentication via the DTLS handshake path and can lead to application crashes or potential memory corruption. |
| Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 1.14.6 and from 1.15.0 until 1.15.4, the @backstage/plugin-techdocs-node package insufficiently validates mkdocs.yml supplied by an authenticated user who can register or modify a TechDocs source. Unsafe Python YAML tags, markdown_extensions names and configuration, theme options, and extra_templates values can reach the documentation generator and cause unintended code execution. The resulting impact is limited to the files, credentials, network access, and other resources available to the TechDocs backend or build container. This issue is fixed in versions 1.14.6 and 1.15.4. |
| Weak authentication in Microsoft PowerToys allows an authorized attacker to perform tampering locally. |
| LlamaFarm through 0.0.34 contains an insecure default configuration that binds its unauthenticated FastAPI server to 0.0.0.0 on port 14345, while the lf CLI silently discards HOST overrides. Network-adjacent attackers can call the project and dataset management API to read stored provider API keys, modify projects, trigger ingestion, and irreversibly delete projects. |
| Xerial snappy-java from 1.1.7.4 before 1.1.10.10 contains a double release vulnerability in SnappyFramedInputStream that returns pooled buffers twice when replacement allocation fails. Attackers can supply framed data with a large declared chunk length to trigger OutOfMemoryError, causing shared backing arrays that expose or overwrite other streams' decompressed data. |
| dot-access through 1.0.0 contains a prototype pollution vulnerability that allows attackers to modify Object.prototype by supplying a crafted dotted path to set(). Attackers controlling the path, such as through user-supplied field names, can use __proto__ segments to inject properties into all objects, altering authorization flags and option defaults or crashing the process. |
