Semantic MediaWiki from 3.0.0 before 7.3.1 contains an algorithmic complexity vulnerability in TermParser::normalize_compact_form() that allows unauthenticated attackers to cause quadratic CPU consumption. Attackers can submit long search terms with many distinct in:(...) or has:(...) expressions to Special:Search to exhaust PHP search workers when the extended search engine is enabled.
Vulnerability in the Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition product of Oracle Analytics (component: BI Search). The supported version that is affected is 12.2.1.4.0. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 3.7 (Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:L).
A resource exhaustion issue was addressed with improved input validation. This issue is fixed in iOS 26.7.2 and iPadOS 26.7.2, iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2, macOS Golden Gate 27.2, macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, macOS Tahoe 26.7.2, visionOS 27.2. A remote attacker may be able to cause a denial-of-service.
An issue in libass v.0.17.5 allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via the ass_outline_construct() in libass/ass_render.c
OW2 ASM 3.0 before 9.11 contains a denial of service vulnerability that allows attackers to exhaust CPU by supplying crafted class files processed with ClassWriter.COMPUTE_FRAMES. Attackers can craft methods that make the unbounded MethodWriter.computeAllFrames() fix point algorithm converge slowly, tying up transforming threads for unbounded time.
OW2 ASM 3.0 before 9.11 contains an uncontrolled memory allocation vulnerability in the asm-commons JSRInlinerAdapter that inlines JSR/RET subroutines without memory or work limits. Attackers can supply a crafted class file with nested subroutines to force O(2^n) memory allocation, causing an OutOfMemoryError that crashes the JVM.
e-SIC Livre (esiclivre) v0.2.2 and earlier contains an uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability in restrito/inc/captcha.php. The application uses user-supplied parameters (l, a, tf, ql) without validation to generate CAPTCHA images, allowing remote attackers to cause denial of service via excessive memory and CPU consumption.
Vulnerability in the Oracle Agile Product Lifecycle Management for Process product of Oracle Supply Chain (component: Product Quality Management). The supported version that is affected is 6.2.4. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Agile Product Lifecycle Management for Process. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle Agile Product Lifecycle Management for Process accessible data as well as unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Oracle Agile Product Lifecycle Management for Process accessible data and unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of Oracle Agile Product Lifecycle Management for Process. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 6.4 (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:L).
Vulnerability in the Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition product of Oracle Analytics (component: BI Foundation). The supported version that is affected is 12.2.1.4.0. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 4.3 (Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:L).
There is s denial of service vulnerability in Esri ArcGIS Server versions 12.0 and prior that may allow a remote, unauthenticated attacker to supply crafted requests that may, under exceptional circumstances, consume all available worker threads and deny service to users. A patch is provided for ArcGIS Server software in General Availability and Extended support status, which includes versions 12.0, 11.5, 11.3, and 11.1. Other versions are in mature or retired status, which are not patch eligible. Users working with unlisted versions are advised to upgrade and apply the patch.
ImageMagick before 7.1.2-33 contains a memory leak vulnerability in the magick compare command caused by missing cleanup when an operation fails. Attackers can supply inputs that trigger repeated failed compare operations to exhaust memory and cause denial of service.
ImageMagick before 7.1.2-33 contains a memory leak vulnerability in PerlMagick that fails to free values returned when reading image properties. Attackers can repeatedly trigger property reads through five affected PerlMagick code locations to exhaust memory and cause denial of service.
ImageMagick before 6.9.13-58 and 7.x before 7.1.2-33 contains a memory leak caused by a missing cleanup when the -set profile option is used. An attacker who induces a user to process images with the -set profile option can leak memory, potentially exhausting resources and causing a denial of service.
ImageMagick before 6.9.13-58 and 7.x before 7.1.2-33 contains a memory leak in its XML parsing code, where allocated memory is not released when parsing reaches the nesting depth limit. Attackers can supply crafted, deeply nested XML data to trigger the leak, causing memory exhaustion and denial of service.
ImageMagick before 7.1.2-33 contains a memory leak vulnerability in the FPX encoder that allows attackers to exhaust memory by supplying a crafted image. Attackers can submit crafted images for FPX encoding to leak memory repeatedly, causing resource exhaustion and denial of service.
ImageMagick before 6.9.13-58 and 7.x before 7.1.2-33 contains a memory leak in the MSL decoder that fails to release allocated memory when processing a crafted MSL image. Attackers can supply crafted MSL files for processing to repeatedly leak memory, causing resource exhaustion and denial of service.
zip is a zip library for Rust that supports reading and writing simple ZIP files. From 1.3.0 until 9.0.0, ZipArchive::extract in src/read/mod.rs calls Vec::with_capacity for a symbolic link target using the attacker-controlled ZIP64 uncompressed_size before reading entry data. A small archive can request an impossible capacity, causing the infallible allocation path to abort the process before the entry is validated. The failure cannot be contained with catch_unwind or a worker thread, allowing repeated denial of service in archive-processing applications. This issue is fixed in version 9.0.0.
Mistune before 3.3.0 contains an inefficient algorithmic complexity vulnerability in parse_link_text that allows remote attackers to cause denial of service through unbalanced square brackets. Attackers can submit markdown containing long runs of unmatched brackets to mistune.html(), triggering repeated forward scans that stall worker processes for minutes.
Improper resource shutdown or release in Windows UEFI allows an authorized attacker to bypass a security feature locally.
| Inefficient Algorithmic Complexity in erlang-jose allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to cause a CPU-exhaustion denial of service by submitting a crafted RSA JSON Web Key.
When an application parses an untrusted JWK through the public jose_jwk:from_binary/1 or jose_jwk:from_map/1 API (or the Elixir wrappers JOSE.JWK.from_binary/1 and JOSE.JWK.from_map/1), an RSA private key that supplies d, e, and n but omits all Chinese Remainder Theorem parameters (p, q, dp, dq, qi) is routed into convert_sfm_to_crt/1, which tries to recover the missing primes by factoring the modulus. The three integers are read straight from the base64url input and are never validated as a real RSA key. When the modulus cannot be split into two factors (for example, when it is itself prime), the search loop convert_sfm_to_crt_find_p/6 performs a modular exponentiation over the attacker-sized modulus on every iteration and never succeeds. A single request of a few hundred bytes forces close to one CPU-second of work before an internal one-second watchdog kills the worker, and a larger modulus raises the cost further. By flooding such requests an attacker can saturate every scheduler and deny service, without credentials, a valid RSA key, or any special configuration.
This issue affects jose: from 1.7.7 before 1.11.13. |
