f2fs: split initial and dynamic conditions for extent_cache
Let's allocate the extent_cache tree without dynamic conditions to avoid a
missing condition causing a panic as below.
# create a file w/ a compressed flag
# disable the compression
# panic while updating extent_cache
F2FS-fs (dm-64): Swapfile: last extent is not aligned to section
F2FS-fs (dm-64): Swapfile (3) is not align to section: 1) creat(), 2) ioctl(F2FS_IOC_SET_PIN_FILE), 3) fallocate(2097152 * N)
Adding 124996k swap on ./swap-file. Priority:0 extents:2 across:17179494468k

After analyzing the vmcore, I found this issue is caused by page migration.
The scenario is that, one thread is doing page migration, and we will use the
target page's ->mapping field to save 'anon_vma' pointer between page unmap and
page move, and now the target page is locked and refcount is 1.
Currently, there is another stress-ng thread performing memory hotplug,
attempting to offline the target page that is being migrated. It discovers that
the refcount of this target page is 1, preventing the offline operation, thus
proceeding to dump the page. However, page_mapping() of the target page may
return an incorrect file mapping to crash the system in dump_mapping(), since
the target page->mapping only saves 'anon_vma' pointer without setting
PAGE_MAPPING_ANON flag.
There are seveval ways to fix this issue:
(1) Setting the PAGE_MAPPING_ANON flag for target page's ->mapping when saving
'anon_vma', but this can confuse PageAnon() for PFN walkers, since the target
page has not built mappings yet.
(2) Getting the page lock to call page_mapping() in __dump_page() to avoid crashing
the system, however, there are still some PFN walkers that call page_mapping()
without holding the page lock, such as compaction.
(3) Using target page->private field to save the 'anon_vma' pointer and 2 bits
page state, just as page->mapping records an anonymous page, which can remove
the page_mapping() impact for PFN walkers and also seems a simple way.
So I choose option 3 to fix this issue, and this can also fix other potential
issues for PFN walkers, such as compaction. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
staging: vchiq_arm: Avoid NULL ptr deref in vchiq_dump_platform_instances
vchiq_get_state() can return a NULL pointer. So handle this cases and
avoid a NULL pointer derefence in vchiq_dump_platform_instances. |
| A flaw was found in libxml2. A local user or an attacker providing a specially crafted XML catalog can trigger a NULL pointer dereference during XML catalog parsing. This occurs when a `nextCatalog` element lacks its mandatory `catalog` attribute, leading to the application crashing and causing a Denial of Service (DoS). |
| Use of Externally-Controlled Input to Select Classes or Code ('Unsafe Reflection') vulnerability in Drupal Drupal core allows Reflection Injection. This issue affects Drupal core versions: from 8.9.0 to 10.6.19, from 11.0.0 to 11.3.19, from 11.4.0 to 11.4.10, from 12.0.0-alpha1 to 12.0.0-beta2. |
| A NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability [CWE-476] vulnerability in Fortinet FortiOS 7.4 all versions, FortiOS 7.2 all versions, FortiOS 7.0 all versions, FortiOS 6.4 all versions, FortiPAM 1.9.0, FortiPAM 1.8 all versions, FortiPAM 1.7 all versions, FortiPAM 1.6 all versions, FortiPAM 1.5 all versions, FortiPAM 1.4 all versions, FortiPAM 1.3 all versions, FortiPAM 1.2 all versions, FortiPAM 1.1 all versions, FortiPAM 1.0 all versions, FortiProxy 7.6.0 through 7.6.6, FortiProxy 7.4 all versions, FortiProxy 7.2 all versions may allow an authenticated attacker to crash the httpsd daemon via crafted HTTP requests. |
| Forge (also called node-forge) is a native implementation of Transport Layer Security in JavaScript. Prior to 1.4.1, the affected implementation used forge.tls.createConnection(), c.session.serverCertificate, RSA key exchange to process the relevant input or security decision. node-forge's TLS client checked the wrong property when deciding whether a server certificate was missing. A malicious TLS server or on-path peer could omit the Certificate message and reach code that dereferenced the absent certificate, causing an uncaught exception and terminating the connection or process. This issue is fixed in version 1.4.1. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: arm64: Derive GUEST_HAS_SVE from the SVE feature bit at EL2
pkvm_init_features_from_host() takes KVM_ARCH_FLAG_GUEST_HAS_SVE and
KVM_ARM_VCPU_SVE from the host separately, but pkvm_vcpu_init_sve()
tests the bit while vcpu_has_sve() reads the flag. A host that sets the
flag without the bit gets a vCPU with a NULL sve_state that the world
switch loads the guest's SVE state from.
Derive the flag from the bit, and drop the protected path's copy of the
host's flag, which is dead code since protected VMs are not allowed SVE. |
| Forge (also called node-forge) is a native implementation of Transport Layer Security in JavaScript. Prior to 1.4.1, the affected implementation used pki.verifyCertificateChain(), pki.createCaStore(), duplicate subject names to process the relevant input or security decision. node-forge modified the CA store while trying certificates that shared a subject name during pki.verifyCertificateChain(). A failed chain verification could permanently remove trusted CA certificates from the store, causing later valid chains to fail and creating a persistent availability impact for applications that reused the store. This issue is fixed in version 1.4.1. |
| Null pointer dereference in Windows Audio Service allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally. |
| Null pointer dereference in Windows Message Queuing Queue Manager allows an authorized attacker to deny service over a network. |
| MLflow is an open source AI engineering platform for agents, large language models, and machine learning models. From 3.12.0rc0 until 3.17.0, the scorer invoke, register, and GenAI evaluate endpoints, including unauthenticated POST /ajax-api/3.0/mlflow/scorer/invoke, accept serialized third-party scorer data that Scorer.model_validate_json resolves using a module-path allowlist without constraining the selected class or its constructor arguments. When optional trulens and trulens-providers-litellm packages are installed, an attacker can select mlflow.genai.scorers.trulens, choose a model URI outside MLflow's native provider registry so execution uses the LiteLLM fallback, and supply api_base and api_key values that cause the server to send an outbound request to an attacker-chosen or internal host with attacker-controlled headers and body. The vulnerable deserialization occurs before a tracking-store lookup or job submission. This issue is fixed in version 3.17.0. |
| P-Net before 1.0.3 dereferences a NULL AR pointer when handling an implicit read request without a valid target AR UUID for a record index that requires an AR (AR specific indices 0xE000-0xEFFF, and the expected identification data of a slot or subslot). A remote unauthenticated attacker can send such a request to crash the device (denial of service). |
| Null pointer dereference in Windows DHCP Server allows an unauthorized attacker to deny service over a network. |
| Null pointer dereference in Active Directory Domain Services allows an authorized attacker to deny service over a network. |
| Mattermost versions 11.10.x <= 11.10.0, 11.7.x <= 11.7.9, 11.9.x <= 11.9.1, 11.8.x <= 11.8.5 fail to verify the integrity of the SAML RelayState POST parameter which allows an authenticated SAML user to join any team, including invite-only teams, via forging the team_id or invite_id fields in the RelayState.. Mattermost Advisory ID: MMSA-2026-00727 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Mark sched_process_wait argument as nullable
do_wait() passes wo->wo_pid to the sched_process_wait tracepoint.
kernel_wait4() leaves wo_pid NULL for wait4(-1), and
kernel_waitid_prepare() does likewise for waitid(P_ALL).
btf_ctx_access() currently types argument 0 as PTR_TO_BTF_ID |
PTR_TRUSTED. Without PTR_MAYBE_NULL, the verifier accepts an unchecked
dereference. Trusted pointer loads have no fault protection, so a wait for
any child can then cause a NULL pointer dereference in JITed BPF code.
Add sched_process_wait to raw_tp_null_args[] with argument 0 marked
nullable. The verifier rejects an unchecked dereference while preserving
access after the program checks the pointer for NULL. |
| P-Net before 1.0.3 dereferences a NULL AR pointer in pf_fspm_cm_read_ind() when handling an implicit read request without a valid target AR UUID for a user specific record index, if the application has registered a read callback. A remote unauthenticated attacker can send such a request to crash the device (denial of service). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: hisilicon: hip04_eth: Move setting of netops to fix crash
hip04_mac_probe() calls of_phy_connect() before ndev->netdev_ops is
assigned. phy_attach_direct() -> phy_link_topo_add_phy() reads
dev->netdev_ops through netdev_need_ops_lock() since the commit in
question, so probing crashes with a NULL pointer dereference when
CONFIG_NET_SHAPER is enabled.
Assign netdev_ops before the PHY attach, as was done for emac in commit
7c9f391ec89c ("net: emac: move setting of netops to fix crash"). |
| Nezha Monitoring is a self-hostable, lightweight, servers and websites monitoring and O&M tool. From 2.2.7 until 2.2.11, ServiceSentinel.worker in service/singleton/servicesentinel.go checked an owned service under servicesLock and later dereferenced pointer-valued serviceStatusToday and serviceCurrentStatusData entries under serviceResponseDataStoreLock without revalidating that ServiceSentinel.Delete had not removed them. A RoleMember could concurrently report TCP or ICMP results through the member's own agent and delete the same owned service, causing a nil pointer dereference. Because the gRPC server had no recovery interceptor, the worker panic terminated the whole dashboard process and disrupted every tenant's web interface, REST API, and agent connections. The issue affects availability only and does not disclose or modify data. This issue is fixed in versions 2.2.11 and 2.3.0. |
