CVSS v3.1 |
| Maxthon Browser for Android before 7.5.8.103 contains an address bar spoofing vulnerability that allows remote attackers to misrepresent a page's origin by exploiting the lack of a persistent fullscreen notification or trusted origin indicator when the Fullscreen API is invoked. Attackers can craft a malicious web page that renders a counterfeit address bar showing a trusted domain while displaying attacker-controlled content, tricking users who perform a single tap to enter fullscreen into disclosing credentials via phishing. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
arm64: tlb: Flush walk cache when unsharing PMD tables
When huge_pmd_unshare() is called to unshare a PMD table, the
tlb_unshare_pmd_ptdesc() function sets tlb->unshared_tables=true
but the aarch64 tlb_flush() only checked tlb->freed_tables to
determine whether to use TLBF_NONE (vae1is, invalidates walk
cache) or TLBF_NOWALKCACHE (vale1is, leaf-only).
This caused the stale PMD page table entry to remain in the walk cache
after unshare, potentially leading to incorrect page table walks.
Fix by including unshared_tables in the check, so that when
unsharing tables, TLBF_NONE is used and the walk cache is properly
invalidated.
Here is the detailed distinction between vae1is and vale1is:
| Instruction Combination | Actual Invalidation Scope |
| ------------------------ | --------------------------------------------------|
| `VAE1IS` + TTL=`0` | All entries at all levels (full invalidation) |
| `VAE1IS` + TTL=`2` (L2) | Non-leaf at Level 0/1 + leaf at Level 2 |
| `VALE1IS` + TTL=`0` | Leaf entries at all levels (non-leaf not cleared) |
| `VALE1IS` + TTL=`2` (L2) | Leaf entry at Level 2 only | |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Drivers: hv: Don't reset VMBus connection state on error/exit paths
In two places, current code forces vmbus_connection.conn_state to
DISCONNECTED prior to calling vmbus_disconnect(). But vmbus_disconnect()
calls vmbus_initiate_unload(), which unloads the VMBus connection
only if the conn_state is CONNECTED. Consequently, the connection
remains and the Hyper-V host might continue to send messages or post
VMBus interrupts.
The problem was introduced in commit 74347a99e73ae ("x86/Hyper-V:
Unload vmbus channel in hv panic callback"), in that
vmbus_initiate_unload() started checking the current connection
state before doing the unload. This commit removed some occurrences
where conn_state was forced to DISCONNECTED, but these two remained,
apparently due to an oversight at the time.
Fix this by not forcing conn_state to DISCONNECTED during VMBus exit,
or if a failure occurs when establishing the connection in the first
place. Whatever value conn_state has at the time is then read by
vmbus_initiate_unload() to determine if there is a connection to
be unloaded. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
dm-integrity: fix infinite loop on discard with large tag size
When integrity_metadata handles a discard, it fills a buffer with
DISCARD_FILLER and writes it over the tags, max_blocks blocks at a
time. If the kmalloc fails, the buffer is the on-stack array
checksums_onstack and max_size is set to HASH_MAX_DIGESTSIZE. So if the
tag size is larger than HASH_MAX_DIGESTSIZE, max_blocks is zero, bi_size
is never decremented and the loop never terminates.
Fix this by using sizeof(checksums_onstack) as max_size. The array has
MAX_TAG_SIZE bytes since commit b93b6643e9b5 ("dm integrity: fix a
crash with unusually large tag size"), so max_blocks is at least 1. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: openvswitch: validate transport header presence in set_ipv6_addr
When executing IPv6 address rewrite actions on IPv6 fragments,
set_ipv6_addr() calls update_ipv6_checksum(). If parse_ipv6hdr()
processes a non-first IPv6 fragment, it sets key->ip.proto to
NEXTHDR_FRAGMENT and returns early without calling
skb_set_transport_header().
update_ipv6_checksum() unconditionally evaluates skb_transport_offset()
on entry before checking l4_proto. Because skb->transport_header is
uninitialized, this triggers a warning under CONFIG_DEBUG_NET=y although
it is completely harmless.
Fix this by returning early in update_ipv6_checksum() if l4_proto is
NEXTHDR_FRAGMENT. This avoids reading the uninitialized transport offset
for fragments while preserving the debug warning for any other protocol
where the transport header is unexpectedly missing.
See the syzbot trace:

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ibmveth: h_free logical LAN on open-fail after register
ibmveth_open() registers the logical LAN, then allocates the RX
buffer pools. A pool failure jumps to out_free_buffer_pools without
h_free_logical_lan(), so PHYP still owns the buffer-list page when
it is unmapped. request_irq() failure already issued the hypercall
before taking the same label.
Move that h_free to the shared post-register unwind so both paths
deregister before the buffer list is unmapped. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mmc: sdhci-sprd: disable runtime PM on remove
sdhci_sprd_probe() enables runtime PM, while sdhci_sprd_remove() does
not perform the corresponding runtime PM cleanup.
The probe failure path disables runtime PM before disabling the clocks,
but the normal remove path directly disables clocks that are also
managed by the runtime PM callbacks. If the device is runtime
suspended, those clocks may already be disabled.
Resume the device before removal, disable runtime PM and drop the
temporary runtime PM reference before disabling the clocks.
This issue was found by manual code inspection. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
HID: steam: Refactor registration
This refactors and simplifies the registration/unregistration flow. Since
we now only perform registration when the client isn't opened anymore, the
logic for handling that can be removed, and the rest of the function
streamlined.
We also remove the previous assumption that we have a serial number to show
we're registered, replacing it with a single purpose boolean.
In a previous refactor the code for unregistering a battery if later
registration steps failed was accidentally left out. As a result, a
lingering power_supply object could get left over after the steam object
was torn down. This is also fixed here. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: typec: tipd: fix uninitialized typec_partner_desc in tps6598x_connect()
tps6598x_connect() passes a stack-allocated typec_partner_desc to
typec_register_partner() after initializing only usb_pd, accessory and
identity.
typec_register_partner() copies attach and deattach from the descriptor
into the partner. With those fields left unset, garbage function pointers
may be stored and later invoked from typec_partner_link_device() when a USB
device is linked to the port. Uninitialized pd_revision and usb_capability
similarly leak stack data through partner sysfs.
Zero-initialize the descriptor so optional callbacks remain NULL and the
remaining fields are zero. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
smb/server: fix session leak in ksmbd_session_register()
See the procedure below:
smb2_sess_setup
ksmbd_smb2_session_create
__session_create
atomic_set(&sess->refcnt, 2)
hash_add(sessions_table, &sess->hlist, sess->id)
ksmbd_session_register
xa_store(&conn->sessions, sess->id, sess) // fail
ksmbd_user_session_put
atomic_dec(&sess->refcnt) // refcnt is 1, session is not freed
Remove the session from sessions_table and drop its table reference if
xa_store() fails. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: qla2xxx: Zero dport diagnostics buffer to avoid info leak
qla2x00_do_dport_diagnostics() allocates the qla_dport_diag response
buffer with kmalloc_obj() (non-zeroing) and, on success, copies the full
sizeof(*dd) back to user space via sg_copy_from_buffer(). The inbound
sg_copy_to_buffer() only fills as many bytes as the user request payload
provides, and qla26xx_dport_diagnostics() zeroes only dd->buf. The
options and unused[] fields are therefore copied out uninitialized,
leaking kernel heap contents to user space.
Allocate with kzalloc_obj(), matching qla2x00_do_dport_diagnostics_v2(). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
f2fs: fix dentry folio leak in find_in_level
find_in_level() gets a dentry folio with f2fs_find_data_folio() before
calling find_in_block(). If find_in_block() returns an error, the
function stores the error in res_folio and breaks out of the loop without
dropping the dentry folio.
This leaks the folio reference on the find_in_block() error path. Drop
the dentry folio before returning the error to the caller. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdkfd: Fix the case that vm range is hole at svm_migrate_copy_to_vram
When migration vm range is hole at cpu side(MIGRATE_PFN_MIGRATE set +
MIGRATE_PFN_VALID unset) driver still allocates device pages. There is no
dma map of src pages and migration. j is 0 and svm_migrate_copy_memory_gart()
will return an uninitialized r. That can trigger out_free_vram_pages to drop
all VRAM just set up.
Initialize r and only call the last svm_migrate_copy_memory_gart if j > 0.
Current code postponed the last page to the final copy. This patch flushes on
the last page when reach to the end of current drm_buddy_block; avoids another
svm_migrate_copy_memory_gart. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
PCI: Allow per function PCI slots to fix slot reset on s390
On s390 systems, which use a machine level hypervisor, PCI devices are
always accessed through a form of PCI pass-through which fundamentally
operates on a per PCI function granularity. This is also reflected in the
s390 PCI hotplug driver which creates hotplug slots for individual PCI
functions. Its reset_slot() function, which is a wrapper for
zpci_hot_reset_device(), thus also resets individual functions.
Currently, the pci_create_slot() assigns the same pci_slot object to
multifunction devices. This approach worked fine on s390 systems that only
exposed virtual functions as individual PCI domains to the operating
system. Since commit 44510d6fa0c0 ("s390/pci: Handling multifunctions")
s390 supports exposing the topology of multifunction PCI devices by
grouping them in a shared PCI domain. This creates a problem when resetting
a function through the hotplug driver's slot_reset() interface.
When attempting to reset a function through the hotplug driver, the shared
slot assignment causes the wrong function to be reset instead of the
intended one. It also leaks memory as we do create a pci_slot object for
the function, but don't correctly free it in pci_slot_release().
Add a flag for struct pci_slot to allow per function PCI slots for
functions managed through a hypervisor, which exposes individual PCI
functions while retaining the topology. Since we can use all 8 bits for
slot 'number' (for ARI devices), change slot 'number' u16 to account for
special values PCI_SLOT_PLACEHOLDER and PCI_SLOT_ALL_DEVICES. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: typec: tcpci_rt1711h: unregister TCPCI port with devres
rt1711h_probe() registers the TCPCI port before requesting the interrupt
and enabling alert interrupts. If either of those later steps fails, the
probe function returns without unregistering the TCPCI port. The explicit
unregister currently only happens from the remove callback.
Register a devres action immediately after tcpci_register_port() succeeds,
so tcpci_unregister_port() runs on later probe failures and on driver
detach. Drop the remove callback to avoid unregistering the same port
twice.
This issue was identified during our ongoing static-analysis research while
reviewing kernel code. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
test_kprobes: clear kprobes between test runs
Running the kprobes sanity tests twice makes all tests fail and
eventually crashes the kernel.
[root@martin-riscv-1 ~]# echo 1 > /sys/kernel/debug/kunit/kprobes_test/run
...
# Totals: pass:5 fail:0 skip:0 total:5
ok 1 kprobes_test
[root@martin-riscv-1 ~]# echo 1 > /sys/kernel/debug/kunit/kprobes_test/run
...
# test_kprobe: EXPECTATION FAILED at lib/tests/test_kprobes.c:64
Expected 0 == register_kprobe(&kp), but
register_kprobe(&kp) == -22 (0xffffffffffffffea)
...
Unable to handle kernel paging request ...
The testsuite defines several kprobes and kretprobes as static variables
that are preserved across test runs.
After register_kprobe and unregister_kprobe, a kprobe contains some
leftover data that must be cleared before the kprobe can be registered
again. The tests are setting symbol_name to define the probe location.
Address and flags must be cleared.
The existing code clears some of the probes between subsequent tests, but
not between two test runs. The leftover data from a previous test run
makes the registrations fail in the next run.
Move the cleanups for all kprobes into kprobes_test_init, this function
is called before each single test (including the first test of a test
run). |

[CAUSE]
Inside btrfs_write_and_wait_transaction(), we first try to write all
dirty ebs, then wait for them to finish.
After that we call btrfs_extent_io_tree_release() to free all
extent states from dirty_pages io tree.
However if we hit an error from btrfs_write_marked_extent(), then we
still call btrfs_extent_io_tree_release() to clear that dirty_pages io
tree, which may contain dirty records that we haven't yet submitted.
Furthermore, the later transaction cleanup path will utilize that
dirty_pages io tree to properly cleanup those dirty ebs, but since it's
already empty, no dirty ebs are properly cleaned up, thus will later
trigger the warnings inside invalidate_btree_folios().

net: phy: clean the sfp upstream if phy probing fails
Sashiko reported that we don't call sfp_bus_del_upstream() in the probe

dangling 'upstream' field, that may be used later on during SFP events.
This issue existed before the generic phylib sfp support, back when
drivers were calling phy_sfp_probe themselves. |
